      I currently live at the Providence apartments in ********, *****. I moved in four years ago. I have an emotional support dog and a 23 year old cat. I paid a ****** deposit on my cat. I did not have to pay a deposit on my emotional support dog. Fast forward four years later. New manager took over property. She noticed I had a cat. The cat was not listed on my lease neither my dog. She informed me only one pet could live in each unit even after I previously was told I could have the cat. I wouldnt have moved here if my senior cat couldnt come with me. Im currently being treated for Stage 4 cancer and Im very Ill. I was informed today I was being fined ****** on next months rent for violating my lease and Id have to move or get rid of my cat. Im furious and Im sick. Its truly a nightmare the thought of having to move. . Over the past four years Ive been an excellent tenant never late on rent and I never complain. *** noticed a definite partiality especially on race out here. Im not backing down from this Im not in the wrong. The rules are very strict on these properties. I would have never moved here if my senior cat would not have been able to move with me. Im going to fight for this and contact an attorney or even go to the local news. Its horrible how seniors are treated. Think twice before moving into an ITEX property. Hopefully this will be resolved soon Im in no physical condition to move. This is a nightmare indeed.

      6/10/22- No A/C m/n-6am =(6 hrs). 6/11/22- Called into answering service; A/C not working; thermostat reads 75 degrees won’t change. We’re not to bother them til after 8am . 8:10 am - I called to check if Manger called ; your message has been given to Manager and she’ll be in touch with you. 10:44am -( 10.5 hr) / 12:52 pm - I stop him and said it’s been ( 11.5 hr) since first call and no one has gotten in touch with me . I’m 64 years old ; the day will just get hotter. He listened. At 1:50-1:55 pm at door ; when I opened he was leaning on rt. side of door frame then stood up after he saw door opened. He said ( not word for word) I heard someone was having trouble with their A/C; could that be you ? Not he strange to me ; I don’t know him. Our regular maintenance man left end ofJuly .I ask who sent him ? He pauses; then says Manager’s name . Ask if I would like talk her or need to . Yes; I’ve been waiting since 8am He picks up a call/my alarm on phone goes off 2pm. Since; he’s on phone I shut the door the keep the cool in; go to phone; take 2 p meds .This man had no blue ITEX shirt; no I.D.Didn’t introduce himself as maintenance man .Waited for call ; no call. ( 24 hrs no A/C ). Sunday 6/12/22- same 75-76 degrees. No ; I didn’t call it in .She’ll just say well I sent someone.Professional.I’ll want til Monday 6/13/22 when open. So ; these 24 hours don’t count. Monday 6/13/22- Dr @ 8:45 (7:20-8:20am ride ) ; waiting for ride down in Community Area ( A/C) ; 8am *** gets maintenance forms ; watching for ride .I took forms with to Dr ; filled out. Dr sent me to Baptist Hospital not back to apartment til 1 pm . Front door lock/ lunch; went up to my apartment .1:30 pm thought A/C downstairs and went . Office was opened form turned in @ 1:35 pm. Maintenance man to apartment around 4:15-4:20 pm til 4:40 pm. Now ; I know his name and I told he should introduce himself. But ; I was wrong for not turning this in the very first thing Monday.Why don’t they wear I.D. of some kind

      This complex LaBelle Vie in Lumberton,Texas does not care about its senior tenants, with three inspections in two months, first one preliminary I was told everything was ok. Second one was told I had to have one window clear…. Then this last one the maintenance lady who told me I needed one window clear denied telling me that when the other two inspectors were here. They only seemed concerned with the emergency pull cord was hanging straight down the wall, when I told them they didn’t work as I’ve been here 8 years had to pull it twice the first time batteries were dead, the second time the alarm company refused to give the ambulance company my apartment number. They had to argue and beg for them to give it to them, only after the ambulance supervisor threatened that if anything happened to me before they could find me; did they give it out. I asked why they were only concerned with the emergency cord hung straight down and not concerned with them working? They just ignored my concerns. They were very rude and went through this apartment like they lived here. Leaving dirty floors and my things messed up which they didn’t put back. I’m totally disgusted with there lack of concern for there tenants . I would move but being a disabled Army nurse veteran on fixed income I can’t afford to. I was active duty during the Viet Nam war, so I’m old and do not appreciate there lack of respect or concern for my complaints. There have been other issues as well concerning plants… one apartment can have them others can’t. It seems they change the rules when it suits them. My blood pressure went up so high yesterday trying to get them to listen to me about the problems with the faulty alarm system and they just ignored me and were only concerned with the string hanging straight down, regardless of them working or not. This place is more concerned with a string than the safety of us seniors. Don’t move here, so many have moved out because of the negativity.
