I took my 1981 Jeep to this shop on 8/23 to repair a problem of it jumping out of gear. On 8/26 , call from the shop stating he needed a credit car number so he could order parts or release parts. On 8/27, got an alert on my phone that it had been charged 3,134.70. I called immediately and complained about the charge. This was not what we had talked about and would not have called if we had talked about it before.Got a call on 9/9 that Jeep was repaired. We picked it up and brought it home. I did not test drive it before I picked it up. After I got it home, I did test drive it and it was still jumping out of gear. I called next day and informed him I would be bringing it back on 9/13 for further work as it was not repaired. The clutch was not adjusted properly also and it was leaking somewhere on the transmission. I could not tell where. Go a call on 9/16 that it was ready so I went to shop but this time, I did test drive it before I loaded it on trailer. The clutch felt better but could not tell if leak was repaired. They said they replaced a gasket. After the test drive, it was still jumping out of gear. I then took the shop foreman with me (I think he as a foreman as he was in the office). He witnessed the problem was still present. I left the Jeep for further repair again. Got a call on 9/20 that it would be ready this week. No one called by 9/28 so I called them to check status. They said they needed to put shifter back and they would give me a call. No call so I called them again on 10/1. They then said they were working on the shift boot because it was causing it to jump out of gear. They said it was too stiff. I then questioned all the other work they had done if it was just a shift boot. They said the other work was needed, I strongly disagreed.No other communication until 10/5 when they said they were still working on it. On 10/8, said they were still waiting on rubber boot and this would solve problem. Another leak on 10/13. Picked up 10/18.
