First email to *********************** was July 8, 2022-I guess the only way to get noticed is to give a 1 star review- so here I go. I had my system installed about 6 years ago- 21 300W panels- with SolarEdge SE5000 inverter.I was told it would cover close to 100% of my electric bill- but noticed the electric company recently is only giving me about 1/3 of kwh which should be produced. Weeks ago I started contacting Aztec Renewable to have my panels inspected/checked out to confirm they are working to factory specs. I attempted to sign onto the SolarEdge monitoring website- but was told the website was shut down/changed to a new inverter/website. I have emailed ***************************** 3-4 times in the past 3 weeks but no progress.I know my panels have a 25 year performance guarantee, I may need to get them changed/upgraded. Maybe if I was informed how to contact SolarEdge----helping me-- instead of threatening me with an attorney, and 2 statements from *******************************- "If we fail to close a job because of your reviews, Im taking your property"- AND "If your reviews remain posted, I will see you tomorrow personally".Maybe SolarEdge can help me fix the problem if Aztec Renewable can't. IF I was assisted in fixing the problem, then I can give a 5 star review. ******* did stop by to investigate the problem about Sept 6th, found out the internet monitoring system is not connecting. ******* stated it would take approx 1.5 hours to fix it.Today is Sept 27th 2022 and I have not seen or heard from *******************************. I changed my review to 5 star positive hoping this could get fixed, but at this time- ******* last statements to me was "We are going to provide the labor for free in trade for positive reviews. Please get those changed and we will get started. If we don't perform, you can always go back to negative".Review from Mike C

I was very impressed with Aztec from start to finish - *******- the actual owner of the business was here everyday answering any question or concerns regarding the process -which only took two days for the total installation! The fact that this companies had get reviews and has been in business since 2006 gave great peace of mind!Aztec Renewable Energy, Inc Response

From first to last we had a very good experience. All the people were very professional and very friendly. It was a fairly large jog, 60 panels place out in a field. So as expected some issues popped up, but the site manager and the crew quickly worked them out and kept us informed on exactly what was going on.
Very pleased with the job.

My system was installed in 2015. At time the company installed my solar panels the company failed to ground the panels and the inverter unit resulting in lighting damage to the inverter. I requested the company reimburse me for the $939.88 that it cost to properly ground the panels and inverter however the company never responded. I also note that the company was not responsive to requests for routine servicing and failed to install the monitoring system required by Solaredge to monitor the panels. I found another dealer that replaced the inoperative inverter (lightning strike damage) and installed the wifi monitoring system.Aztec Renewable Energy, Inc Response

Actually we offered to service your system and you did not authorize the work as you thought it should have been free. Your warranty only covered the equipment. Had you hired us, the original installer, your warranty would have been secured. The system worked for over 5 years with no problems. The other companies assessment... I'm sure supported their invoice amount. We have grounded every system we have installed since 2007 and always corrected any workmanship issues. Also we have not sold SolarEdge for nearly 5 years as a single inverter failure can be costly. It shuts down the entire system and is a large single purchase. We only sell micro inverters today ( one inverter for each panel) and customers do not experience entire system shut downs.Customer Response

If one reads this company's comments on other postings, one finds it always is the customers fault. My system was NEVER grounded and I have the electrician's invoice for that expense. SolarEdge works fine when properly installed. This company also NEVER offered to service my system and in face never even bothered to reply. And why did they refuse to install the required monitoring system. Shame on you Aztec for your false comments and promises.Aztec Renewable Energy, Inc Response

****** D, it was my understanding that you attempted to call past employees (personal phone numbers ) that no longer worked for us. Also we did not sell you a communications package in 2015, as SolarEdge communications equipment was buggy and their cell communications was limited. I'm sorry you did not look us up online, before hiring someone else. We warranty all workmanship issues and it would have been at no charge. When competitors are justifying their invoice amount, they can sometimes lay it on thick. I'm sorry for your trouble.Customer Response

Please advise where you got this information. I always have only communicated directly with you or your company. I do not have any personal phone numbers for any of your employees and was never given any personal phone numbers. In any event, there was no charge for replacing the ********* inverter nor for the ********* communication system. ********* honored their warranty. This complaint is solely about your original failure to ground the either panels or the inverter. I can supply the electrician's invoice if you care to see it. We are sorry you hired someone else to work on a system installed nearly 7 years ago and with no reported issues. Please stop this online complaint of your maintenance cost towards us. We did not service your system. You, all by yourself are responsible for your actions. We would have been happy to offer you service and IF we had really found a missed grounding, it would have been provided for FREE. But you did not provide this opportunity to us.
