Hello, my name is ********. I am a Firefighter/Paramedic here in **************, *****. I am writing this review to hopefully help someone checking reviews before buying at Hicks Family Nissan. I recently bought a used **** from the dealership. I ran into multiple problems including deception from a salesman and a finance manager. First, I noticed a sound during a test drive that when asked about I was told that it was made by all ****'s. That turned out to be a fix that is gonna cost $3,500. Second, during the time inside the dealership I told the finance manager that I was a a member of Rally CCU and I only wanted my credit run with them. Later that night I got alerts from Experian that my credit was run through 5 creditors. Lastly, the finance manager texted me and said everything looked good and he would be emailing me a draft of the contract. After reviewing the contract the price was higher than agreed on. I saw that he added a warranty after I had let them know that I didn't want one. He told me, the way Rally sent it over was with a 3yr warranty guideline which meant that I had to have a warranty for the next 3 years or ****** miles. ****** I told him I didnt want a warranty. He replied, its security for Rally, they are the ones that added it to the pricing. I can take it off, but we would have to get you approved through a different lender which could result in a higher rate. I didn't believe him so I called Rally and they said that was false. After speaking with management the original deal was offered. After a few weeks of driving the truck I decided to take it to an ASE Certified Mechanic that I trust and found out that the timing chain guides were broken. It is gonna be $3500 to fix. I reached back out to the dealership asking to help me with a solution but the only option they gave me was to credit my money back to get another truck from them that cost more, had a smaller engine, and not 4x4. I had to decline.
