    Purchased new ** unit with 10 year parts/labor warranty from Service First in April 2025. This current problem started in April 2024 when the ** was not cooling as usual. Service First techs put dye in the system for a leak test. Refrigerant was also added at that time. Leak test was inconclusive; they advised me to call back if the cooling ability declines again. On June 10th the unit stopped cooling. They came out and saw plenty of leaks in the evaporator coil. The evaporator coil was replaced by Service First the following week. After this coil replacement, the system was not been able to cool effectively; unable to get the indoor temp under 79 degrees F. Service First came out a few more times to find the issue and ended up misdiagnosing the problem as a leak in the copper lines connecting the evaporator coils to the compressor. July 2024: I got a second opinion from **********, sent by ********************. Element was unable to do pressure test due to a restriction or blockage in the evaporator coil Service First had just installed. Element ** tech stated, whoever installed the coil did not replace the coil cabinet and really tried to force the replacement coil into the existing coil cabinet. It is now August 2, 2024 and I had Service First return to reassess the problem. The tech agreed with Element ** assessment that there is a restriction in the evaporator coil and needs to be replaced again. A ***** day estimate was given to me on ETA of a replacement coil. It is now Sept 13, 2024, and nothing yet. The tech from Service First is very responsive on status update requests but puts the entire delay on the supplier. I have never heard from the owner of Service First. We are getting through the brutal summer heat with the help of a window unit and 3 portable ** units for the second floor of our house. I have been extremely patient with them but the company as a whole does not seem too concerned about honoring their warranty they sold to me in a timely manner.

    Service first sent technicians out to my house in June 22, 2023 when the air went out due the compressor failing. They came out at the end of June 2022 because the compressor went out and also October 2022 because the compressor. The manager discovered June 2023 that the ******* compressor unit requires a hard start kit but that was not being installed at any if the times that they replaced the compressor. Since this discovery it has been two weeks and the new compressor, with a hard start kit this time, still has not been installed and the technician is not returning my call after I've called the front desk multiple times for an update. The manager texts that the compressor was ordered but it's been 2 weeks and he has no tracking information to provide us even though he said he would.

    Good morning, 

     

    We have made every attempt to get the parts that were needed for this customer. The manufacturer informed us that they had to get the part from the factory which takes time. We have been communicating with the customer any information and updates that have been given to us, we have gone as far as removing his unit and installing a temporary unit at our expense. We have tried to do everything possible to help this customer. As soon as we hear form the manufacturer and receive his compressor, we will install his compressor in his existing unit and reinstall his unit with the new hard start kit.

    Service First installed a new ac unit and told me it would be a 16 seer system. When I finally received my paper work for warranty and rebates found I paid for 16 seer system but received a 15 seer unit. I asked for clarification but no one ever got back to me.
