1 starI DO NOT RECOMMAND THIS LOCATION FOR SERVICE.negligence work done on my vehicle 2018 VW Passat R-Line. Their negligence caused me, the driver, on Friday 28, 2025 to break down while on route to my home after a workday with more damage to my vehicle (found that the passenger side brake hose was not bolted down and both on driver side the shield support back of rotor was bent and rotor was very tight).I then called him to say that I heard a rattling noise and that the car does not feel right. This was in February 2025, **** checked it again and said in order for the rattling to be fixed I would have to pay for the passenger side complete strut assembly to be fixed a cost of ******* to fix the passenger.Weeks passed that on March 22, 2025 I went back to the same location, this time to find **** is no longer at this location. But Anan (supervisor) and **** (manager) are. Anan asked me to bring my car in and either one would look into my complaint. I was told by **** that I would need a complete strut assembly on both sides.i said to him, but i am here for the driver's side that is making the rattling noise. He said he could fix that and showed me where it was bent and that the strut on top was cracked. (now how can this be when **** in November fixed it, and i paid for it). **** quote me 380 for each side, then in phone conversation say ******, once the car was at the shop the fee was *****.**. false service pricing. once I mentioned corp office, his story changed, Charge would be ****** for both driver and passenger complete strut assembly. This claim /case is currently activeReview fromJane M

1 starI took my Camry to *********** store to have brakes checked for noise. Had pads, rotars and discs replaced. Not cheap. When brakes were still making noise after installation took it back to find the caliper's weren't greased. After fixing that the brakes were making a scraping noise when releasing brake. Took it to my mechanic and he said the one brake pad was put in backwards. Additional expense for their error which Brake Check would not reimburse. Will never go to a Brake Check again and would never recommend anyone else go either.Review fromIrene D

1 starAbsolutely terrible experience at Break Check in *******/******, ***I took my car in and was quoted one price, only to be hit with a higher bill when it was time to pay. That alone is shady, but things only got worse from there.A few days after getting my car back, I noticed my oil pan was leaking badlysomething that had never been an issue before. The leak got worse quickly, and I had to scramble to find a way to safely get home.I reached out to the shop to let them know, expecting some level of accountability or customer care. Instead, they refused to take responsibility and are now trying to charge me again to fix the very issue they caused, along with another oil change.Customer service at this location is non-existent. They dont stand behind their work, and they have no problem wasting your time, your money, and your *********** yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Its clear theyre running a scamdishonest pricing, poor workmanship, and absolutely no accountability.Review fromJennifer P

1 starWent in on 2 Feb to get brakes looked at and was concerned that it was time to get replace but was informed that I needed my front struts need to be replaced. I paid in advance for parts and labor for it to be worked on the next day around 10:43am and didn't it completed until after 4pm and the alignment wasn't done. Then I went back on 5 Feb due to feeling and hearing noises and then it was stated I had to get my sway bars replaced and that should be the resolve of it, however, it was not resolved because I called on Thursday, 13 Feb and spoke a manager and stated I would by on Sunday for them to look at it and see what is happening with the vehicle. He stated he wasn't sure and gave me guesses on things. I then went on today, 17 Feb after I went to a mechanic for an assessment and to discover that the strut assembly on one side was complete set but the other was partial and it was missing a coil spring spacer and they did order it and still didn't properly repair the one missing the spacer. Drove around after awhile and the same noise and feeling reappeared. I have taken pictures of before and after and showed them and asked why they still look like the before and nothing. I still have the same issues from the replacement of sway bars and I am not understanding how I spent over ******* and still having the same problems. I need a better result than wasting my time and moneyReview fromCarlos C

1 starScammers! Well they stand behind there warranty but you have to pay labor which is like $450 in my case. The repairs made three times on my leaking truck differential bearing and gasket has cost me over $1,000. They told me I probably need a new differential and it would cost me $6,000. The repairs made there only lasted a month. I took it to another mechanic who instantly saw the problem on the axle being damaged. He repaired it for $2,000 with bearings and gaskets on both back wheels. There has been no noise, leaks nor problems so far. If you want to be scammed out of your money then go ahead and go here.Review fromLinda G

1 starGot charged 54.97 for an oil change, checked my dip stick afterwards and it was never done. I went immediately to take 5 down the road to have then look and perform the oil change, they discovered the oil filter was changed but the oil was not changed. V.P reached out to me and said "we don't play god around here" you have no case and that they won't be reimbursing me even though I had video proof and receipts from them and take 5 showing the oil was black. Never again!!Review fromTanaporn S

1 starI only gave 1 star because I had to. I ended up with a leak after taking my car in for a routine oil change. They claimed it was due to normal wear and tear. Mind you I never had a leak or sign of a leak prior to their service. Long story short I had to choose between a temporary plug or new oil pan. I chose the new pan for peace of mind and was told if I pay for the part they would waive the labor. I asked how much and Brake Check quoted $150. I called Auto Zone, which is where they claimed the part was being purchased from but to my surprise the part was quoted and verified by Auto Zone to be $94.99. I contacted corporate and stated my concern as to why I am being charged $50 more for a part to fix a problem I didnt have before their service and was told and I quote well we have to make a little money on this because were already waiving the labor for it. Thats ridiculous! So youre going to price gauge a part to compensate for the labor you offered to waive? How is this ok? I wouldnt even have this problem in the first place if it wasnt for your company. At the end of the conversation I was told Im left with 2 options: to either pay $150 and have them fix it or if I choose to buy the part myself I have to take my car somewhere else because they wont fix it. It is sad that they would rather lose a loyal customer than $50 but it is what it is. I will make it my mission to warn others about Brake Check and their shady ways. Dont do it people, youre better off going somewhere else. They clearly value money more than their customers!!Review fromMohammad H

1 starI went on Saturday 9/22/2024 to the location on I10w UTSA for a simple brake light switch. The unexperienced employee and manager ************ did not know what they were doing and put a wrong part. The brake lights did go out but but when you drive in the highway after few minutes the BRAKES LOCK we were driving with no bakes in the car. We returned the car back and they can see the issue there , they changed the brake switch and this time got the part from Auto Zone instead of ******* , unfortunately it's the same thing, the brakes locked again. *** and ****** or ***** refused to inspect the issue unless I pay $120. they want us to pay for something they did wrong. They refused to give us our old part back, the manager said it's in the trash and he was not going to look for it. He put out car key at the seat of my car and did not want to take any responsibility to fix the issue, and he did not care that me and family driving the Van with big problem that they cause to the brakes. They iendangered me and my family by driving the car with the brakes locked.I called a mobile mechanic and he was able to put the right part in the van. I called the shop on Monday morning a asked for the corporate office to file a complain. in which i did . 2 hrs later the manager ****** called me and tried to be ** nice. but it was too late. Today i got i call from the corporate office and he said he was the vice president and he was as rude as h*** did not want to listen to me and the call went south and lots of yelling and the line got cut off.The wrong part they put was oversized and has a spring at the end of it which kept hitting the bake paddle and sending a signal to the brakes to stop at all the time and locking the brakes. ***, ****** and the vice president don't even know that. MONEY was more important to them than figuring out the issue and the danger they put the customer in
