Date of Contract: 04/15/2024 Project: Bathroom Remodel I am filing this complaint because the company has failed to complete the contracted work. Specifically, the toilet has not been reinstalled, and the flooring trim pieces are not installed correctly. Additionally, the ceiling was spray painted unevenly, and the areas painted do not match the original color.I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue by contacting several individuals within the company. Despite being told that the remaining work would be completed, no action has been taken. I contacted ***** *********, who has not responded. I then reached out to his supervisor, who assured me the matter would be resolved, yet I have not received any follow-up or ************* has now been several months without progress. I expect someone to be dispatched immediately to complete the work as per the terms of the contract, which I have already paid for. The total contract price is $18,599, and I expect the agreed-upon work to be finished promptly.

The contract was signed on 4/16/2024. The shower installation was completed around third week of May (do not the exact date). Once work was completed I signed the Completion Certificate, everything looked fine. I did not check the water meter. **************** (#***) is in partnership with Statewide Remodeling I used HD credit card. The amount of money I paid the business was $17,945 via a ********** credit card. The business committed to provide you A serviceable shower. The nature of the dispute is I received a San Antonio Water System (SAWS) bill for the month ending Jun 10, 2024 for $223.00 (Water meter usage was ****** gallons). My water bill has been consistently at $35.00. I called SAWS several times to come and check the meter; SAWS stated that meter was OK, that I had a residential leak. On 19 Jun, I called a ***** Boys (Third party plumber) and they found the leak coming from the shower installation. Statewide came and cut the floor panel to do a temporary fix and the shower has remained in this condition.*************************, Field Supervisor for Statewide Remolding in telecom said that the shower Installer had stated the leak was caused by the foundation and not by them and that the copper pipe in question had no sleeve. Of course Statewide Reps would say. I did not have water leaks until Statewide completed the work in that exact area. Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem On 27 Jun 202 4, ************************* sent me an estimate of $7009.70 to demo and rebuild with new materials. I told him this is unacceptable; he stated contact me when you are ready. ************************* advised that I can use home insurance to supplement the cost.Since, both my wife and I are over 80+, we had been considering a walk-in shower but this installation has been a fiasco with Statewide wanting additional money.

We had our back porch remodeled by Statewide Remodeling. The worst customer experience with this company. They have a wonderful warranty but were still waiting for them to fix or replace our patio screen. It has been more than 4y since the patio screen were installed in 2018, we understood during the pandemic but now post pandemic its been an absolute nightmare. We called more than 60 times, each time being referred to an area manager who was just hired and dont know the extent of our problem. **************** is extremely friendly but just a referral service, no solutions or ability to correct the problem. So many excuses, but no accountability for the contractors they hired that failed to complete the job. Each time we complain about the problem, no updates our status, we get another referral to a new manager who wants the story from the beginning with no result, patio still in disarray waiting on parts. The saddest part, in good faith we tried to handle this situation with respect and dignity and all we got was an immediate call back about another new remodeling project. Statewide Remodeling started our replacement project 2020 due to the screen failing to retract properly. The company sent workers over more than 4X to check whats wrong with the patio screen but no one documented it in their system due to employees leaving the company. Finally, they hired a sub contractor (*******************) but he refused to travel from ****** to take measurement and guess what, they were the wrong size! I guess this guy was paid in full by Statewide and was allowed to ignore our request for updates or completion date. In retrospect, Statewide followed this pattern and did the same to us. This company should be reprimanded for their action and horrific business tactics.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and ********************************************* refunded $5600 which is the cost of the screen portion of our back patio project however no response on repairing the back porch back to  its original state.  We also discussed with the Regional Manager *************************** our displeasure with the stamped concrete which has a white haze and white lines, all a result of moisture being trapped in the clear coat. It was taken for action with no response when the $5600 was refunded. That project cost us a additional $7000. At the end of the day we didnt purchase three separate projects we had one contract for a complete backyard project.  Statewide took that contract and allowed subcontractors to act on their behalf.  The job was never completed to satisfaction and we requested a refund they addressed three year later and ignored the rest.

I want the damage caused by the previous screens returned to its original state.  I want my stamped concrete stripped and repainted or refunded. The only portion I accept is the patio covering but it should be known that statewide never fulfilled this contract fully but it was paid in full.

I am rejecting this response because:

We accepted the PARTIAL REFUND for our patio screens they couldn't fix after we've been trying to get warranty work done since they installed 2018, it's over

4 years. Area manager from Statewide Remodeling company came and took couple of pics October 10th, now we've been patiently waiting for any update of what they're going to fix our patio concrete stamps. My husband told area manager a deadline for them to complete our patio warranty work done by end of 2022. We're so tired of waiting and it's been too long and so many phone call we made to this Company, they finally move because BBB?! That's very disappointed and we make sure that we never use statewide Remodeling for any projects for our home and I'll definitely not recommend to anyone!!

We signed a contract that was dated 10/03/2021 for the Remodeling of Master and Guest Bathrooms. As noted on the contract that the approximate start date schedule would be 10 to 12 weeks out from the contract signed date of 10/03/2021. After the 12-week time frame came and went, we called numerous times to their Design Consultant/sales associate, to inquire what the situation was in starting the project. Each time we were told that someone would be calling us back. As of this date, 04/11/2022, NO contact has been made with us to start the project. We have contacted Statewide Remodeling **** and spoke to their customer service individuals on approximately 1/31/2022 and 4/1/2022 and we were told that someone would be in contact with us. During that time, we also spoke to their Design Consultant/sales associate and informed her that NO one has contacted us. Additionally, we were told that we would be contacted by an engineering representing Statewide Remodeling *** to inspect both bathrooms to assess materials needed to complete the project. We were also informed that after assessment and the ordering of materials, it would take an additional 4 weeks to receive the materials. No work has been started and no material has been ordered. As of 04/11/2022 NO CONTACT HAS BEEN MADE. This delay is excessive and has caused delays in other projects waiting to be done to the property. We have sent certified mail for cancellation of the contract to both their corporate office in ********* ***** and their local San Antonio Office. We received the return receipt from the corporate office but nothing from the local. We paid $6000 down payment to start the contract. The contract clearly states no payment is due until the project is complete. It is now 04/18/2022 and still no contact. My wife and I are both retired and on a fixed income. We need our $6000 back to find a contractor to actually do the job. NOT Statewide Remodeling.

We apologize for the confusion regarding this customers remodels.
At time of sale, the customers projects were placed into a hold status due to an insufficient down payment and a delay in securing financing to pay for the $55,377 balance. Their Design Consultant began the process of trying to secure a larger down payment and finalize the financing by making a few trips to the customers home and phone calls over the course of several weeks.

While projects are on hold, other departments within our company are instructed not to contact those projects to avoid confusion. That would account for the lack of communication from the office regarding the status of their projects. Unfortunately, the Design Consultant was unable to secure the required down payment or finalize the 3rd party funding,so all three contracts were cancelled as of April 8th. The refund check for their $6,000 down payment has been requested from our corporate office and is expected to arrive to the customers by April 29th.

We apologize again for the breakdown in communication between the customer and our office.
