My husband and I love Ribeyes of good quality and frequent Steak houses to have a greet steak. We decided to stop and see what these Ribeyes were all about. It was outside Tractor Supply in ************, April 19th. The young man persuaded us to spend over $300. We cooked a very thin Ribeye and Strip steak. It was terrible. It made me sick. This is terrible business. It is made to look like its great quality and you are getting a lot. It will be a long time before I can even eat steak again. On 2-19-2025, I spent $350.94 on several boxes of steak and chicken. The steak is like tearing trying to cut through a piece of leather, thin, hard to chew. The chicken and steak both look and feel slimey out of the package. I thought maybe it was just the first one or two I ate. After eating, I was in the bathroom not but 10 minutes after. I feel for the sales *** when I pulled up to the parking lot. You can tell he was just trying to get paid but I fell for it. I thought what a great deal. 03/16/2025, I paid ******. I was upsold 2 boxes of meat. It looked decent with the first box he had shown us but the meat is absolutely terrible. Its like chewing leather, Also the second box that was sold to us. The meat is old! The color isnt even the same at all as compared to the first box. Its only been a day since I purchased the meat and would love a full refund. I would be more than happy to return anything unpackaged meat. I was okay with the meat being thin but its an absolute no for me when the meat is brown. I have reached out through their website to get a refund. Hopefully I will hear back. If you can see in the photo provided. The meat to the left looks fresher. That was the box shown to us originally. When we got home and opened the other box, the meat to the left of the photo was the old meat that was also sold to us.Business Response

On 11/15/2024 I purchased a box of premium beef cuts, variety pack, for $175.00. Was told all cuts were **** and all premium high quality beef. We tried some that night and the following night and all of it was like eating leather. Couldnt even chew it. Ive called the company several times and left messages but no response. I tried again today and never even got a voice message. I feel this is not legit and would like a return of payment. I paid with my credit card and was sent a receipt via email.Business Response

Went there for a 20 steak for $39, I was upsell to a $330 box and the 20 steaks fro free, I ended up getting 10 stakes online and the size does not match at all what they show on their ads, everything small and bad qualityBusiness Response

On Sunday May 12, 2024 I saw a feed on my social media about a pop up meat purveyor advertising 20 ribeyes for $39.00. My wife and I took a ride to the lot they were set up in and engaged a fast talking young man who sold me on a variety pack of their so called steaks. *** tried the steaks and they are horrible. They look funny out of the package and are mostly inedible as they are very tough. I wish I had looked at the many bad reviews that they already have before making the trip to purchase from them. I believe that they are ripping people off by claiming their product is USDA prime meat, grass fed and locally sourced. I will not consume another bite and will throw away everything I have in my freezer that came from this company. I respectfully request that I be refunded the full price I paid.Business Response

Backyard Butchers had a truck pop up sale in ******, ********* on Saturday 5/4/2024 in front of the local Tractor supply. I received 20 free ribeyes. Purchased The Surf and Turf At $389.00. Sales Tax of $26.26. Totals $415.26. Then you are ASKED by the sales person..***** to leave a tip as that is what he works for. 10% was the first option. I chose that in good faith. $41.53 was calculated into the $415.26 fee for purchase. Tipping on the sales tax as well. Total of $456.79. I was told I would be 100% satisfied or my money back. It was written on various banners and it also states that on their website. The free Ribeyes were like shoe leather and paper thin. They were inedible basically. Next I tried one of their Strip steaks. Also inedible. Then I tried the Wild caught Argentine Shrimp part of my package. They were filled with Sand, also inedible. I did not eat anything else and the rest of my purchase in taking up space in my freezer. I contacted them May 7, 2024. I got a quick response to fill out a "refund request form" via e-mail. I did so that day. I was responded to by *******, May 7, 2024 via e-mail who said it will be reviewed and someone would contact me in 3-5 business days. I emailed them May 14, 2024 to tell them they failed to respond to my refund request. I am currently getting no response. My order number was ******. I have payment ID numbers and order ID numbers available upon request.Business Response

Selling beef off truck at Tractor Supply in ********* ** advertising 20 ribeye steaks $39.99 which we bought along with $365 worth of other steaks!!! The ribeyes are very small & tissue thin !!!! All the steaks are so tough you can not chew them, so are all the others !!! Purchased multiple boxes of steak, chicken and shrimp. They looked like a legitimate company outside of tractor supply and I asked a couple people what they thought. They said it looked good. I went home to cook some of the meat and it had a weird smell, didn't taste right.
