I went for a service and when I received the vehicle afterwards , there was a deep scratch on it like they hit something. I know where my car is parked and inspect it every time since it is practically new. I do kot use this vehicle too much since I have my older car to commute. However, I called them out on the scratch and they said it was already there when I arrived. I seriously doubt it. They showed me pictures of it being there when I arrived which are very vague. It does not show me in person driving it in , they just said this is you coming in. You do not see me driving, just the vehicle. They would not show me the whole video interaction, just pictures . The video inspection avoids that area when they sent it to me. I know where I go with my vehicle. Like I said, I have my older truck I take here and there. I am very careful in this new one. Take pictures of your own before you pull into the service canopy. I highly recommend it.

Worst service ever! When we moved out of state and took our 4Runner for its ****** mile service it was discovered that they did not put an oil filter in at the ****** mile service and we have been running 10,ooo miles on a NEW 4Runner without an oil filter. And no one even said sorry we messed up. After owning 4Runners for 37 years and servicing them in multiple states and dealers they are the worst ever. Buyer beware.

ZERO INTEGRITY IN THE CON-VENDER AUTO FAMILY Absolutely the most disappointing customer service and deal-making experience of my life. Car dealers are much-maligned for their business practices. Cavender drags down the entire industrys reputation to a new low--in one transaction! I was fully engaged in purchasing a used vehicle--credit report, proof of income, documents in progress, and wired funds. The only thing I hadnt done is promise my first-born child! My salesperson and I struck up a good (what I thought trusting) relationshipe-mailing and texting many times to exchange information and stay updated on the progress. It was an out-of-state deal so documents were ****** to my home. Having wired downpayment funds, completed documents, and sealed the return ***** envelope, I sent a picture of the signed deal sheet. All doneso I thought. While in the midst of the deal closure process I noticed the vehicle was still listedand the price had been increased by $2000. They were clearly leveraging my in-progress deal to try and squeeze some extra dollars out of another buyer. By now, youve likely guessed how this story ends. A few hours after holding up my end of the bargain, I get a call letting me know theCon-vender Auto Family had sold the vehicle out from under menot even the courtesy of a right-of-first-refusal. The Con-vender Auto Familys mission statement on their website states: We are driven by the understanding that our success will ultimately be determined more by the number of people we help, rather than the amount of product we sell. Actions speak louder than words, ******* and ****. I caution anyone who is considering dealing with Cavender (across any of their dealerships). If integrity is in such a short supply on the front end, wait until they get you into the service bay.

On 09/27/2024, I went to Cavender after receiving an oil change and tire rotation promotion via a voicemail from their service ************* every point after making my appointment things were conducted in an unsatisfactory manner. The gentleman receiving me at the service entrance failed to write my request to have my tires inspected as my tire sensor had come on as I arrived at the dealership. The cashier refused to honor the promotional rate, was rude and incompetent. I played the voicemail left on my phone so that she could hear it and she stated that she didn't know the person that had left the message. I paid the amount on the invoice presented which was more than 3 times what the promotional rate had been quoted. The gentleman that released my car seemed bothered and hurried me off his service lane when I asked him if he could reset my Check engine see dealership for service indicator.I went back inside spoke with another cashier named ********* and she spoke with her boss who instructed her to honor the promotional rate and for her to send me a refund check for the difference in what I had paid. To this date, no check has arrived.I have been dealing with a Service manager named ****** ********* on this issue and on 10/08/2024 he told me there was no refund check pending or authorized to be sent to me. He assured me that he would be sending me the refund check immediately and as of today "nothing."He advised me he would call me to schedule an appointment to have my vehicle serviced and still no call.On 10/15/2024, I called for ********* to see if there was any update on my refund check or on having my vehicle serviced. The lady that answered advised me ********* was in a meeting but that she would have him call me. As of yet, no call, no refund check. The employees have no compassion or empathy for their customers. Management lies directly to your face. The Cavender family should be ashamed of this low quality dealership.

I was looking for a 2024 4x4 SR5 ******. Specifically told the salesman this. Test drove a white ****** 4x4 (never even looked at 2 wheel drive). We went back inside to discuss the price. I told them that I was willing to pay $52,000 out the door. They could not come down that far. Came down to 54 and some change. My wife and I left and figured we would continue looking. 20 minutes after we left the dealership, the sales manager text me saying he could do the deal ($52,000 out the door). Great! I ask for the stock number and vin number of the vehicle so I can look at it on the website. Toyota website says the truck they are trying to sell me is a 4x2 (I want a 4x4). Text them and let them know this is not the truck that I want (it's 2 wheel drive). Next morning I get a text saying everything has been worked out and the 4x4 will be $52,000 out the door. Great! Ask salesman who I should have the certified check made out to for the downpayment. Go to the bank, get a $40,000 certified check payable to Cavender Toyota (downpayment) and head to Cavender. After test driving the truck again and doing some paperwork a guy comes out and tells me another mistake has been made and the truck price is back up to almost $55,000. I do not remember the exact amount as they never texted or gave me anything with that price in writing. I was told again that the $52,000 price was for a 4x2 truck and it was a simple mistake. Once Maybe, but twice is extremely shady. Personally, I think it was downright crooked. Not sure if I will deal with any Toyota dealer ships again. Oh yeah, 10 years ago I bought a ****** from this same dealership. Pleasant experience. Never again! I am not sure how to upload the text messages on my phone as a complete thread, but if you want to see them I can definitely copy and send them one at a time. The only reason that I did not request BBB's help in resolving this issue is because I do not plan on doing business with Cavender again.

Purchased their prepaid maintenance package but somehow every time maintenance is due nothing is covered. I mean every single time we have taken it for service something needs to be replaced/fixed and its not covered. The vehicle is only a year old. Never buying from ******** again!

Cavender Toyota was a complete and utter lie and waste of my time. We have purchased 2 other cars from this dealership. When we asked about the new process and they said new management. I don't know who this new management is but they have lost my business by trying to be sneaky and s**** me over and most importantly they wasted my time on a lie.

If I can leave zero stars I would. I can list how Cavender Toyota service department has gone to the toilet. I took my sons FRs in December of 2023 I was told that the issue was the steering column and they were going to order it I had asked before Leaving the service department if it was safe for my son to drive I was told yes. Not even fifty feet from the dealership my son had no steering capability as he was driving with no power steering. He came back the technician routed wire incorrectly but the ****** said it was still safe to drive. We leave with the car because the part that need to be replaced is on back order. The power steering motor went out intermittently and still part was on back order after the third month of the part being on back order my so. Was getting out for lunch at work which is along the access road of a highway. He had called me I told him park the car I will take it to Cavender. ******* acted as if it is dangerous not to drive it but I still drove the car to the dealership. He told me the part was still on back order and they would need Toyota to send a gentleman who can pull the codes from the black box. That took two weeks and still steering column and power steering more are on back order. I called Toyota myself and it was a lie the actually had four in stock and they could send it to them. I told ******* about my findings and with **** importance the parts showed up in two days. I have worked in dealerships before that would bs the customer like this. I let the service manager know of the grievance and assured it wouldnt happen again. I rather take my cars down to ********************* or even Berne and even in south 35. Before I would take it to Cavender again. The service department states that because of the failed parts they are not liable for the damages done to the car. If my son was on the 410,or 151 elevated turn off and that power steering would have failed and he crashed they feel that it would be an issue for my insurance

Our recent interaction with Cavender Toyota's new car sales department did not align with the brand's core mission of "We Make Confidence Happen!" Transparency is crucial for any brand to thrive and build customer trust. Unfortunately, our recent experience with the new car sales team did not reflect the essence of "Cavender Confidence."During our visit to Cavender Toyota on 03/02/2024, my husband and I intended to buy a **************************** our 2022 Tacoma. While our truck was being appraised, we selected a Tundra for potential purchase. After two hours of negotiations, we felt stuck and requested the keys to our truck. Our sales representative, ***************, mentioned that they were with the appraisal team and on the way to the front. The situation escalated when his manager, *******************************, laughed at my request, stating, "There is no appraisal team" and "We have your keys." Despite our repeated requests, we felt trapped as we asked for the keys numerous times. Out of frustration, I went outside to search for the truck, but it was nowhere to be found. The lack of professionalism and disrespect we encountered was truly disheartening. We felt powerless, extending our visit until they decided to release us. They finally brought our truck to the front at 10 pm, long past closing time. This upsetting encounter left us feeling unappreciated and disrespected. After sharing my experience with my brother, I discovered that he had a similar encounter during his vehicle purchase on 03/01/2024. This led me to investigate the dealership's reviews, where I found another customer describing similar sales tactics during their trade-in transaction. While the team prides itself on being the top Toyota dealer in the city, this reputation should not come at the expense of transparency.

Be very careful. Listen to what they say, read between the lines because they will lie to you. When you catch them in the lie everyone will have different story on why you didn't understand how they was going to s**** you over. Just saying take your time, and check out the numbers before you buy.
