I moved in in March 2024 and have experienced a/c issues since I moved in. I have put in multiple work orders regarding this issue and have all documents to show. It wasn't till June, 3 mos of dealing with a hot apartment do they finally replace the unit outside. That takes an additional 7 days to receive the unit. I was not able to stay in my apartment due to degrees exceeding 98. I have tried to resolve the issue with management and it wasn't acknowledged till new management came in Aug 2024. I told them to compensate me or credit my rent due to the inconvenience. I was told they were not going to do anything. I was forced to stay elsewhere due to no a/c. They provided a small window unit for my 2 bd apartment. It didn't work, I had to go elsewhere for 7 days with my son. I find this unprofessional and unacceptable. I want my money back for the month of June. I wasn't living in my apartment due to incompetence on the company side.Initial Complaint

Moved into Silver Oaks apartment complex on ************************************************************************* moved in December 1, 2023. My vehicle was stolen December 22, 2024. My vehicle was again found after I paid $1000 to fix it was found again stolen March 3, 2024. I have talked to supervisor named ***** management property owner be claims to be asked if there was a way that we could be released from our lease I have a seven month old baby that im very worried about and myself and my significant other my significant other leaves in the morning around five to work. Were home all day by ourselves when we leave Im not sure if someones going to attack us or if someones going to try and rob us I have to take my baby to the doctor. Im scared to go to sleep at night. Im scared to leave my apartment. Im scared that someones going to be waiting outside for us and I made that clear to the management upfront at Silver Oaks and ***** denies to give me his supervisors name number or email wont help me and I am looking to get out of this lease and its going to be hard for me to get a new apartment with the lease under my name broken Im not breaking this lease because I dont have money to pay it im concerned with the safety of my family and myself this apartment complex says the gates close at seven when I leave for work at four in the morning theyre wide open so Im assuming thats how they stole my car or its somebody in the apartment complex but they dont have video surveillance to help me so I need help getting out. I need help finding justice for my situation. I need help because Im concerned with my seven month old baby. How am I supposed to be OK with being home all day with him and worried that someones going to break down the door worried someones going to steal our car wearing someone going to hurt us I dont think thats what someone should be thinking theyre going into with Leasing and Apartment and especially without having the help of the management upfront!Initial Complaint

Silver oaks is claiming we owe a balance for the month of April 2022. However, our lease was up in January 31st 2022.We gave them a notice three months (90 days) prior to our lease ending that we were moving to a month by month basis until and would be out by 3/1/22.They then claimed another written notice wasnt given 60 days prior to 3/1/22 but no contract was signed for month to month or any contract of the matter. I discussed that the notice was given in 10/2021. They stated the keys werent turned in and I told them I lost them and to charge me for the keys.They are now as of 1/16/2023 sending me to collections agency annd threatening my credit and rental history and under their file claimed a notice was given on 2/02/22 for end of lease which is false. I never submitted another which is now fraud on their behalf.Initial Complaint

On Thursday, October 13, 2022, My boyfriend, ********************************** and I received a call from ******* stating we had been approved for a 1 bedroom apartment with a den. I re-verified that an income verification letter from my boyfriend's employer on company letterhead would suffice for his income. I was told that letter would be ok to submit. I was then told to pay the administration fee and security deposit to clear the next stage in the application process. I paid those fees immediately. Not 10 minutes later, I was told the employment letter would NOT suffice and that now I was denied the apartment. I inquired as to when I would get my money back and was told I had to wait 2 weeks to 30 days to receive my money back. I have to move out of my current place by the end of the month. It is very unprofessional and unacceptable to not be able to receive my money back in a timely fashion so that I may use those monies to not end up homeless! The option to go by the office to pick up a check was never offered and when asked, I was again told that I had to wait 30 days to receive my money! I have told everyone I work with and everyone I know to NEVER apply to these apartments!Initial Complaint

I have had an issue with my apartment complex. Since we moved here in 2020, we have had issues with both Raccoons and roaches. I've put out multiple service request out since we've moved here and Raccoons still come in and out of our apartment ceiling. I spoke with a pest control person they sent one time and he told me that there is a whole on the building that they keep getting into and he told the apartment complex to fix it over and over again.They are pushing through the vents, and the staff continues to tell me they can't fix it until someone comes and looks at it. I put in a request on Friday night again and I didn't hear anything from them until Tuesday. Raccoons could have rabies or other diseases and I have a two year old son in the house. Now they are tearing up our AC vents which caused the vent in our bedroom to stop pushing air into our room and its Summer in *****, so it's heating up.They are pushing on our vents and messing with the lighting on the ceiling and going up and down the chimney. After speaking with *****, a staff member this morning, he said they probably won't have anyone look at it today. There is more than one and I'm getting desperate for any help to end this madness.Our lease is up at the end of October, but if we could get out now that will be awesome. We've never missed a payment, we are just a family trying to make it like everyone else. I really don't want a raccoon to fall into my sons play-area one of these nights and hurt him. Then we will have a bigger issue to deal with if we can't get this fixed soon. Thank you.
