The Texas Solar salesman came several times to my home and even brought me cake. He said they would give me two thousand dollars for a sign-up bonus and that If I would let them install the solar panels on my house, the electricity that was generated would pay my electric bill. I was told that I would only have to pay the monthly average of my last years electric bill to Texas Solar. They did not give me a contract but proceeded to install the panels. A few months later they had the county inspector come and inspect them so they could be operational. After a few more months on August 22, 2023 ********************************* at ************ called me and said I needed to sign a contract to get credit for my electric bill and I needed to make payments $113 per month auto-draft to LA Solar. When I asked about the bonus, they ignored the question and said I needed to esign the contract online. She told me where to sign each page but she went so fast, I did not understand it nor was I able to read it. LA Solar took 3 monthly payments of $113 from my checking account and never paid my electric bill. I received shut off notice for my electric and had to pay it to avoid having my electricity turned off, At that point was paying both my electric bill and for solar panels with no credit. This was not right. I went to my bank and stopped the autopayment drafts on January 12, 2024. The LA Solar has been calling me at least two or three times per day and said they were going to file judgement against me if I didn't pay. I received a notice of a mechanic's lien against my home for $48,956 filed on May 8, 2024 by Smart Main Panel, ************* Garland *********************** I believe I was scammed and am requesting your help to have this matter resolved and to have the mechanics lien removed from my home.

A vivint customer service representative came to my home, identified himself as a vivint representative and said that they were in the neighborhood checking on customers. He then ask me if everything was going well with my vivint home security system. I told him yes and then he began telling me about a promotion that they were having on solar. He explained that if I got solar, it would decrease my vivint home security fees in half, and that it would save money for me in the long-term by putting the money back into my home instead of paying it out to my electric company. I was curious so I asked a few questions and was told of the tax credit that I could claim at the end of the year and given a basic explanation of how it would save me on my electric bill every month when comparing my overall electric cost after we looked at a few bills. I was hesitant and full of questions, but ended up agreeing to have solar installed. Texas Solar was then contracted to install it on my home. After a bit of scheduling issues, it got up and running and everything seemed to be ok. Over time, I noticed that solar didn't save me as much as described only now I was stuck with a $40,000 contract for the service and panels. Also, unlike an electric company, there is no servicing of equipment, no replacement due to damages, and when trying to contact customer service for any issue; I get transferred a few times only to be led in a circle without resolving my issue. It's been only 3 years and my panels have completely stopped working; so now I am stuck with a high electric bill and still paying for solar panels that aren't even working anymore.
