    My Mom passed away Nov. 30, 2021. A contract was signed and paid for including the headstone. So as of today, Aug. 31, 2023 there is still no headstone. So my Mom is still not resting in peace. So I asked juan ****** for a copy of the contract so that I could file a grievance with the BBB and he said that there was no contract, there are only receipts that he gave to my sister after every payment. That is a blatant lie. He blamed the stone not been placed at graveside at the stone maker he has a contract with. He told me the stone was made and ready to place at grave side but the the stone maker had not delivered. I told him that the contract was with him and not the stone maker. So this last Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2023, I called and told him that I was ready to file the grievance with the BBB, but then once again as usual there was a lie, He said he had the stone at his office and that it will be delivered on the next day, Wednesday 8/30 and placed on grave site and that he would send me a photo of the stone after placement. Well Wednesday has gone and no headstone and another blatant lie. I am sick and tired of playing his games, he has no shame. All he says is, "solamente Dios",, ONLY GOD, to bull**** himself out of a lie. And we are not the only family having to wait years for headstones to be placed, he told me himself that the stone maker was the ones dropping the ball. The fact is that juan ****** is the one dropping the ball.

    This is the first time we hear of this complaint and upon review, Thomae-Garza Funeral Home, San Benito, TX did not handle the funeral service for De La Garza  nor did we have any purchase contract agreement or receipt of payment with the complaintant, Desi, for ** ** ***** family headstone.     I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  

    This message is in regard to your complaint submitted on 8/31/2023 against Thomae-Garza Funeral Home & Directors.  Your complaint was assigned ID ********.

    You recently filed a complaint on the above mentioned company.  The last we heard from you the issue was not resolved.  Please provide us with an update and advised which items (if any) remain unresolved. Please complete and return it as soon as possible.  If we do not hear back from you, we will assume the issues have been addressed and will close the complaint.

    Not sure. The funeral home never informed me of when they placed the headstone on my Mom's plot. I only found out on  Sept.. 22, 23 when I called the Roselawn Cemetery. They confirmed thar the headstone was there and they also sent me a photo
