We have been very patient, and we have made a good faith effort to resolve our concerns without moving forward with the above-mentioned submissions. We contracted with your company to provide several services noted below:A patio and awning extension $2200 invoice ******** PAID half for patio $1100.00 Tile backsplash in our kitchen $1200 invoice ******** PAID electronic receipt not updated Drainage repair DID NOT MOVE FORWARD Shed installation $1200.00 PAID no receipt provided Gutters $2500.00 invoice ******** DID NOT MOVE FORWARD We paid each invoice on time and by the due date. We had multiple issues with the concrete pad installation, which was completed in the dark, they were there until after 9:30pm at night, blasting a radio, disturbing our neighbors. Upon completion of the patio, they drank beer in our backyard, leaving food trash, beer bottle caps, they used our wheelbarrow without our permission to move concrete, did not clean it out, allowing the concrete to dry up and ruin the item. Concrete was splattered on the windows and brand-new French patio doors and around backyard. They were asked the next day to clean that up and that was never done. I texted them multiple times asking them to address the pad issues which were never resolved by the time the shed concerns arose. Once the concrete was cured and the forms removed, we immediately notice major issued with the concrete. Because the completion of patio addition was done in the dark, the concrete was not set properly, leaving gaping holes that can be seen on the side, air pockets, cracks are now visible and uneven surfaces. We had a contractor come out and they advised that the concrete addition on the patio will eventually collapse due to the poor construction. The Awing was a whole other mess. When they said they were going to start immediately on the awning, I told them they couldnt the city requires a permit for that for which ***** said it was be easier if I submitted the application because they would be easier on me. They would make them jump through hoops. This process lasted 2 months and the city denied the permit, at this point the patio forms were still in place, so we had no idea of the extent of the issues. ****** completed the tile backsplash in the kitchen. From the pictures he sent it looked good, but once I arrived, I noticed all the issues. It doesnt appear that he knew how to use tile grout. The grout lines are thick, uneven, and messy, he also broke one of our receptacles by getting grout in the plug-in. We have contacted an electrician to get that fixed, more money out the door. After the issues with the pad were exposed, the process obtaining the permit for the awing, the no-call no-shows they did too many times to count, the grout issues in the kitchen, the crew leaving food and beverage trash lying around each time they were there, the construction debris that was not cleaned up (we cleaned it ALL up), and arriving to our home on multiple occasions reeking of marijuana, we opted not to go forward with the drainage repair and gutters. We continued with the shed kit installation. We bought a shed kit online ($1921.80) and needed someone to put it together, they provided a quote and we paid $1200.00. ****** was not present, sending his crew to complete this. To say I was shocked when I saw the result is an understatement. They either didnt use the directions or didnt understand them, the front and back walls were not assembled on the proper side of the building. Both were put on the inside when they were supposed to be attached on the outside of the structure. This caused the rest of the building to not align properly, but they continued to assemble it and didnt say anything. There were gaping holes in the roof and remaining walls. They neglected to add the vented skylight and 2 windows we paid for with the kit. They left nails and construction trash on the inside all over the floor and over the grass which we had to find and pick up. They also left their lunch and drink trash which was now covered with ants. We had to clean that up too. I immediately sent ****** and ***** a text message with my concerns . ****** came out within days and attempted to fix the shed but once the 2 end walls were assembled improperly, there was no going back. He cut pieces of plywood and tried to cover the holes but that was not going to make it weather tight. Instead of pulling up the roof and repositioning it, he cut the edges off with a saw. Holes remained everywhere, roof, walls and due to all the issues, the doors would not align and close. At this point I was not going to allow them to attempt anything else. We looked for another company to fix the issues so the shed could be secure, and weather proofed, we paid for the other company to fix the issues and finish the assembly. Because the construction was not done properly, the windows and vent could not be installed. I engaged with both ***** and ****** via text message and asked for a refund of the shed. They refused and offered half the money back. At this point we were exhausted and accepted. They said they would get with us on the refund. (Replied that the partial refund would be accepted 8/2/2023). I checked back on 8/11 after not receiving the refund in the mail. She replied they process those within 30 days, so I should expect the check by the end August. No check. 9/8/2023 I reply that we have not received the check. She replied if I havent received this by 9/15/2023 to let her know. 9/17/2023 I let her know we still haven't received the check. She then changes her policy and says it would be 30 days from the end of August. I screenshot her texts with the previously communicated information. She replied thank you. I reply I want our $600 refund immediately as promised. It is now 10/3/2023 and we have not received a refund. We have been patiently waiting. Both my parents are elderly and ill. The stress of this entire situation has weighed on their physical and mental health. I have no choice but to pursue additional steps to obtain the money my parents depend on to live. We treated ****** and his crew with respect, we fed them and provided them with beverages. Not only should the $600 refund for the unacceptable workmanship on the shed installation be done immediately, but we also feel they should refund the $1200 we paid them for the entire installation as well as the poorly constructed concrete pad that will eventually collapse due to their neglectful work.Total we are requesting:$1200 for the poor workmanship of the shed $1100 for the poor workmanship of the concrete pad addition.
