    I paid for work to Be done to fix my air issue within my car. I paid for a complete diagnostic to be performed to identify any issues whatsoever with my vehicle. What came back is that I needed to have my air compressor replaced. I decided to have a second opinion done at the dealership and the dealership identified the same thing along with something potentially about my brakes, but nothing different as a related to my cooling system. I called Meineke back and spoke with mechanic asking The repair. He shared that the $2000 option would repair my entire cooling system and not just replace one part and that I would be able to bring it back to a Meineke if there were any issues. He mentioned nothing whatsoever about a blower. On the 19th I picked up my car and the air conditioner worked this morning. My air conditioner did not work. It also would not turn past seven on the fan blow and cold air was not blowing out of the system And restarting the car cold air started blowing out of the system and it was able to move past 12 prior to my car being fixed. I never had any issues whatsoever with the gauge on my air conditioner and the only issue I had was cooling which is why to get to Meineke. I call Meineke the assistance that was provided to me was simply to say no thats a problem with your blower not your air conditioner. I stated that I had an in-depth diagnostic done and nothing from that company said anything was wrong with my blower , and I asked them to look at the car with this has nothing to do with what we did to your car which was 1 wk ago. I dont know if they messed up something or did not repair as needed, but to tell me that theres something else wrong with my cooling system when they did the diagnostic and they NEVER mentioned anything about anything else being wrong with my cooling system. I want them to give me my $ back so that I can have my car actually fixed or then to fix it considering Ive JUST paid $2500 1 wk ago.

    Hello,  Customer complaint she states that she took the vehicle to the dealership which, and their findings they found that the compressor was failing according to what she is saying they did not mention a problem with the blower motor. Meineke did not service the blower motor . Meineke replaced the ** compressor. The expansion valve, the receiver dryer, performed the evacuation and recharge of the ** system. When the customer pick the vehicle up, she did not call back. Its been nine days since the repairs were completed she had no complaints about the vehicle not blowing cold air Nor a problem with the blower motor which she seems to be having now. quote customer I decided to have a second opinion done at the dealership, and the dealership identified the same thing along with some potentially about my brakes
    Will C.  I tried to explain the difference between the repairs that were performed to the vehicle. Customer would not give me a chance to speak or explain anything to her. Customer is trying to dispute the amount of money she paid to fix the ** compressor and other components have nothing to do with the blower motor. 
    Meineke Will not  issue a refund based on potential blower motor, resistor of the problem.
    Meineke will check the blower motor issue that she has now. If she would like for us to look at it. We did not work on the cooling system. We only repair the ** system.

    It fails to acknowledge how two places complete a diagnostic and neither state any issues whatsoever with the blower, but now thats the issue. Furthermore, its only been 9 days since any work was completed on my vehicle. Additionally, nothing addresses why hot air blew out of the system for the first 8 minutes.

    Hello.

    The Customer paid for air-conditioning diagnostic. 
    Customer mentioned, nor complained of a blower motor issue. 
    So we did not address this problem because it did not exist at that time.
    We did not notice the blower motor issue either.  We would have brought it to the Customers attention.
    Customer is now complaining that the vehicle takes a few minutes to blow cold air, which has to do with the outside temperatures. The ** will not start blowing cold when it is first turned on. When the vehicles windows, doors is closed, temperatures are very high inside the vehicle. Therefore, it will take some time for the air to start blowing cold out of the vents. 
    With Meineke The ** system repair has a one year or ****** mile warranty.

    In a car's air conditioning system, the compressor and blower motor
    have different functions:
    Compressor
    The compressor is the core of the system and compresses refrigerant
    into a smaller space, increasing its pressure and temperature. This
    process makes the refrigerant more energy efficient. When the system
    cools, the compressor reverses this process to lower the temperature
    again.

    Blower motor
    The blower motor turns the blower fan, which forces air through the
    system and out of the car's vents. The blower motor can also draw
    return air back into the system. When the system is set to heat, the
    blower motor directs air across the heater core to warm the cabin. The
    blower motor also helps prevent the windshield from fogging up.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    When I sought guidance from experts regarding the issue with my car not blowing cold air, I was told that an inspection of my ac system would be conducted for $250. I did not make any specific requests to not look at any system. Furthermore, I paid for a complete inspection. If that inspection only identified the issue with the compressor and nothing regarding that blower, and no other complete inspection identified an issue with the blower, I dont understand why/hos the blower now becomes an issue. Especially when the complete inspection by this company did not identify anything being of comment with the blower. If I did not pay for a complete diagnostic to identify the issues, and simply told them what I wanted fixed, Id understand the companys position; however, that is not the case! If there are issues with my blower, they were not identified by their $250 complete A/C diagnostic testing that I paid for and am supposed a believe that it doesnt consider how the air blows.

    I want my car fixed and not to be disregarded after 30 sec., especially considering that I have an A/C issues days after spending $2500 on the A/C issues diagnosed and identified, supposedly rectified.

    I contacted them Mar 25 around 0730 to let them know I was towing my car to them. I told them what the issues I was having were and they quoted $170 per hour for diagnostics. 1108 I hadnt heard anything so I called to see if they had received my car. They said they were still running diagnostics. 1423 I called again, same response. 1647 I called again, same response. I expressed my concern about costs and that it wouldnt be covered by Carshield. **** advised me he was still "researching" the problem and would call me back the next day. The next day I heard NOTHING. I called at 1645 (they close at 1700) and was told they had called and couldnt reach me. He said he'd figured out the problem and no Carshield would not cover it. He then advised me the repairs had been made and it was ready. I was surprised and he said "well you brought to us because it wasnt working, so I figured you wanted it fixed". He then proceeds to scold me that I was calling from a different number than the one he called so that was why he couldnt reach me. Instead of using the number provided he called a completely different number. He then advised me I have a transmission problem also which would be additional diagnostics which is what I had already described to him! I paid and picked up my car after being assured it was safe. I was charged $368 to install at $28 part!! I never agreed to the amount or authorized the repair! I also was not advised the diagnostic fee does NOT go towards repairs. Less than 24hrs later my check engine light was back on and still having some of the same issues!! Yes theres a warranty but I dont trust them to take it back to them. I want my money back minus the cost of the part. I was NEVER consulted about the repair or cost to make the repair before they did so even after I had voiced my concerns to him about costs. It was done without my consent. I could have gotten a quote from someone else for less!

    The Customer gave ** authorization verbally, also on the paperwork that she signed. Meineke 1577 will not perform any inspections nor repairs without Customers consent. That would not be a good business practice it would be unethical.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I did not verbally authorize repairs. I was not even notified of what the repairs were or the cost until after the repairs were completed.  When I finally called AGAIN on the second day of him having my vehicle right before they closed. I picked up my vehicle 2 minutes after he advised what repairs were needed and that theyd been completed. When i spoke to him on the phone recently he insisted he has a recording of me authoring repairs PRIOR to the repairs being made.  Even tho i demanded a copy he has not produced it  That is a blatant lie and unethical.  As you can see the document hes stating i signed authorizing repairs is ********* stamped at 510pm on 3/26/2024 when I picked up my vehicle.  Repairs had ALREADY been made WITHOUT my prior authorization and WITHOUT discussing cost with me.

    The Customers statement is untrue. The Repairs were authorized. We will not be offering any type of refund at this time. It doesn't warrant a refund.  The warranty on the repairs that were Performed for one year or ****** miles which ever comes first. Meineke 1577 Will never make a repair without authorization that would not be a good business practice, as it is unethical.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    i will continue to reject this response as the business is absolutely unethical.  Again they claim to have a recording of my verbal authorization which is an outright lie as evidenced by their failure to produce the recording. One does not exist which is why it hasnt been produced. As proven by the paperwork they referenced as proof of my authorization which is ********* stamped AFTER they made the repairs without my consent.  My phone records also prove they did NOT speak to me prior to making the repairs. Which Ill be happy to provide.  ******* can not provide phone records of ANY calls placed to me to get authorization for the repairs. I can prove they did not get my authorization before making the repairs. They are unable to prove otherwise because it didnt happen. There is no way I would return my vehicle to them regardless of warranty on repairs and charges I never authorized before them being done.  There is no way I would return my vehicle to a business that failed to properly diagnose the vehicle, failed to inform me properly in prior to making repairs. Nor would I return my vehicle when the check engine light was back on within less than 24 hrs.  They had my vehicle 2 days and did not properly diagnose it. The dealership had it less than 5 hours before they figured out what was wrong. This business is unethical and incompetent.  I will continue to demand a refund. If not received I will utilize every institution available for consumers, to include social media to warn others of Meinekes unethical practices. I want the name and contact information for the owner of this location. Since I can prove I did not authorize the repairs I will seek civil action if the business owner does not properly resolve this.
