Had a $495 charge come up out of the blue about a year after a surgery for a compression device. I have no idea why 1) they waited so long to post this charge to me and 2) their pricing is so laughably opaque. There's no way to see the breakdown of costs online, and the method for payment is through PayPal to one of the company member's emails. I was not given a good faith estimate in advance, and my insurance has no record of this being charged through their system online. It looks like a scam.Therapeutic Solutions Response

We only supply/bill for products that have been prescribed by a customer's physician. We exhaust all attempts to get paid by the insurance. Insurance did partially pay on this claim. Several attempts were made to contact customer. Calls were not returned. Itemization was submitted to both the insurance and the customer. Furthermore, we have provided equipment/services to this customer before, on a different date, and we were paid by credit card through our PayPal account. We welcome any questions the customer may have about the charges.Customer Response

This is inconsistent with my experience. I received equipment from this company once, paid for the outstanding balance, and then received a bill much later for equipment provided during the same procedure, consistent with the experiences of everyone else who has given poor reviews. I have never had a company behave in a way that's so clearly designed to blindside and overcharge someone. I have no record of calls from this company asking for further payment or explaining a larger balance than the original, and they jumped immediately to a "final notice" after approximately a year with no contact following my paying the outstanding balance that *is* consistent with my insurance records. The fact that this is a pattern for them makes it especially clear that this is dishonest behavior.Review from Patrick T

Same exact experience as everyone else. Nearly a year post-surgery I received a bill for $495 for a compression device (which my insurance has since deemed unnecessary) used during the procedure . According to the bill, they were charging $230 for two compression socks and $998 for a dinky calf compression device. Insurance covered the socks (which are laughably overpriced) and part of the compression device. Never was it discussed with me that I'd be on the hook for such ridiculously overpriced items. I have seen far more sophisticated compression systems for less than what they are charging. It's a complete joke that it would cost more than $50. And $230 for socks?! I buy compression socks for running and they never cost more than $20. Complete scam of a company. They claim I signed paperwork stating I'd cover anything insurance doesn't cover, but I have yet to see the proof. I refuse to pay for this fraud.Review from jesse h

Jesse L. The company is a fraud and came up with $ 874.00 in charges one year after the surgery. The original machine that was delivered did not function properly and THEY told us that they would deliver a new machine that would do the required movements. They delivered it but failed to mention that they would charge us for a second unit as if we had ordered it. We have called them and they were less than helpful ,would not respond correctly to our questions. The agent that we talked to would interupt the infomation that was on the statement they provided us and quote something competely different . Please read these reviews before using this company at best this company unethical and I would recommend that you not use them.Review from Beth L

I’m having the same issue as all of you. They billed insurance $3200 which was denied. But they show in the bill that I owe them $420. Also, my surgery was in March 2021 and I just received a bill. I feel like they bill in a very unethical manner. I called Oak Park, the facility where I had my outpatient surgery, asking them who approved these things and why wasn’t my insurance checked. Tons of finger pointing back to Therapeutic and my Doctor. I found the exact same product all over the internet for around $200. I am still livid and will continue to push back on this.Review from Glenda M

These people are frauds. The same thing has happened to me as all these other reviews. Was never told in network. Will not return calls and will not email me any paperwork they say I signed. They are sending me a bill for devices never used and Dr said do not use. This cost more than the entire hip replacement. Do not want to even give 1 star.Review from Francisco M.

I am in the same spot as Jo Nell C. I first got a bill about over a year post surgery. I called them and told them that they shouldn't have billed my health insurance because this was a worker's compensation claim. I offered to give them the information for the claim and they refused to take the information. A year later passes and I get a bill in the mail "Final Notice" in red paper with a added "finance charge". Since I have to have a clean credit report for my employer's standards. I call Therapeutic solutions and I pay my bill. Yes, I did get a receipt. I called my health insurance and they tell me that the claim was denied twice and that I was not liable for any copays. Therapeutic solutions fraudulently sent me a bill that I was not suppose to pay. I am more than sure that I got ripped off on this. Someone has to put a stop to these people. I am not a close friend or family member of anyone at Therapeutic solutions nor do I recommend this place at all.Review from Jo Nell C

They are illegally balance billing for Plasma Flow leg compression sleeves that were given to my son after foot surgery. The claim was denied by our insurance company, as was deemed “part of the global service”. Therapeutic Solutions charged $3,400.00 and claimed that insurance paid $2,980.00, leaving a balance of $420.00. However, the claim was DENIED. Our insurance company says that we owe nothing, and have contacted Therapeutic Solutions numerous times to say that they can not balance bill. Just yesterday, we received a “Final Notice” printed on dark red paper, which included a “finance charge” of $196.00! We are not paying them one red cent. They are fraudsters.Review from Amy E

I did not intend to use any of Therapeutic Solutions’ products in connection with my knee surgery in April 2021 because I had been told by two physical therapists that the continuous passive motion device was not medically necessary and that my insurance would not pay for it. Their representative called me on the phone several times and I stated that I was not interested. Then while I was unconscious and undergoing surgery, Therapeutic Solutions’ representative accosted my 77-year-old mother in the hospital waiting room and talked her into using her credit card to pay $395 for the CPM machine. I never agreed to this. To add insult to injury, the TS rep never told her (or me) that more money would be due in the future. Now, some 18 months later, Therapeutic Solutions sends me another bill for $190. I do not owe this amount. I did not agree to use their equipment. I never signed any contract with them. In addition, I never received any other bill from them since April 2021, a year and a half ago. Why send this bill now?Review from Debra S

This company is a total joke and fraud. They feed on people after a surgery. Not only do you have pain from your surgery you may need oxygen after getting a bill for something you did not ask for or even need. They billed my insurance $3,200 for a pair of plasmaflow leg compression sleeves, a ridiculously outrageous cost of their product. My insurance of course denied that part of the claim. I don't blame them. So, Therapeutic Solutions came after me for $440.00. And insisted I was going to pay for it. This is why we have such high insurance costs and premiums. Because of companies just like this one. I can buy these sleeves all day long for $100.00 anywhere. I decided to get with my Doctor and ******* hospital to find out if my doctor requested them. I asked ******* to mail me copies of my surgery paperwork. I asked them to send me anything that has Therapeutic Solutions on it. Not only did my Doctor not request them, I got proof from ******* that they were not signed for. I have attached a copy of the paperwork from ******* and the one I got from Therapeutic Solutions. The first copy is the one ******* mailed me. Notice next to plasmaflow/scd (top right hand side) there is no check beside it. The second copying the one that Therapeutic Solutions sent me. There happens to be a check next to plasmaflow. So, someone added the check after I signed the paper. Hmmm how does that happen? It is called fraud. They sure wanted to send me to collections before I sent them proof. Now that I have sent the proof to them, I haven't heard back from anyone. To be able to gouge people the way they do. So sad. They don't even deserve a one rating, they deserve a negative 5 rating. They have no conscience at all. They thrive on your pain and pocketbook. I am so sorry that you people have no heart or soul. The nerve to actually put a check on a copy of the paper and try to bill me. Things have a way of coming back around.....Review from Don R H

The only way that I can possibly imagine that this company would receive positive reviews is they have family members posting fake comments. They seemed fine prior to the surgery, afterwards not so much. There method of ending conversations is by hanging up on you. Very unprofessional, no phone skills, waiting for that big invoice that so many people say they get months later.
