  I visited this facility for my 6-month cleaning. I was a new patient of this location, but I have been a patient at the Ideal Dental in *******. They took several x-rays and proceeded to tell me that I required several different procedures, including antibiotics into my gums on each side of the mouth, a crown covering a filling that they claim is loose, and attempted to upsell me Invisalign ever after I explicitly told them I was not interested twice. The receptionist came to speak with me about the costs for the suggested procedures and they stated that they would only be able to do one side of the mouth at a time. They stated that they were unable to do my regular INCLUDED 6-month cleaning unless I did the other suggested procedures (antibiotics and deep cleaning). My 6-month cleaning is covered at 100% by my insurance and they refused to do the cleaning. I left the facility with only x-rays (that are supposed to be covered 100% by my insurance), and no cleaning as I was supposed to get. I was told there would be NO charge for my visit, as the x-rays were covered by my insurance. Now I have received a bill in the mail stating that I owe $300...for x-rays that they stated were fully covered by insurance, and for poor service where they didn't even perform the 6-month cleaning they were supposed to clean. This facility attempts to upsell patients with services they do not need, and charges an extensive cost to the patient for these unnecessary services. They do not perform the cleanings covered by insurance. They waste their customers time and money. They engage in unethical business practices.

   ************************* was in on 05/16/23 as a new guest. Radiographs and exam were done, Doctor and hygienist diagnosed limited scaling and root planning due to pocket depth readings. SRP is indicated due to gingival migration and bone loss. Radiographs show loss of crestal bone and to prevent further bone loss and attachment, SRP was diagnosed . Because of her insurance, we are only allowed to complete 2 quads a visit. All of that was explained when presenting treatment. ***** opted out in doing limited cleaning and requested that we only do a prophylaxis as it's a covered benefit on her plan. We informed the guest that unfortunately once diagnosed with bone loss, we are unable to do a prophylaxis, which would result in further damage to her gingival health. ***** signed the treatment plan and left. We asked her if she had any questions or concerns, she stated that she did not. Upon checking her account, insurance has paid for services rendered, and she does not have a balance of $300 with us.

  I am rejecting this response because:  The diagnosis was inaccurate. There has been confirmation from this by a second dentist, and my prior dentist.
