  22 Jan-8 Feb 2022. I purchased a ring on **** from this dealer. Order#:**************. I requested ring be sized to a 7 and oldtreasures333 said they could do so for $144, which I paid via **** of America via PayPal, which is what oldtr333 said is way I had to pay them. Received the ring and not only did it not fit description of being 14k gold, it was NOT A SIZE 7. I returned the ring IMMEDIATELY to oldtr333 and was given purchase price refund immediately, but was told they would NOT refund the $144 because they were right. I emailed back and forth with oldtr333 and he said HIS jeweler was correct and I was not. I knew it was NOT a size 7 because I had taken another ring of mine to a jeweler here in Alabama the day before to be MADE into a size 7 and it was as small as this ring that was supposed to be enlarged for the $144. I spoke over and over with **** and they told me to contact B of America to file a claim/dispute, which I did. This has a ref # of **** on my BofA account and I was given a refund of $144 and 60 days for BofA to contact oldtre333 to let them know of my dispute. To my SHOCK I got an email from oldtr333 saying, "We have placed a lien for $144 and $850 on *************************** and listed my property address for the chargeback to paypal. Your credit report has also been notified. You will receive a certified letter this month letting you know how to clear this up if you like. We will no longer handle this account...it is now through a collections agency." I called **** back, then PayPal who said they cannot do anything about a SERVICE I bought through an **** dealer, only a PRODUCT. I contacted BofA and was told they had tried to contact oldtreasures333 in ****, but oldtreasures333 would NOT RESPOND TO THEIR BANK IN **** to discuss this dispute, but turned it over immediately to a collections agency. On advice of BoA I requested the $144 be paid. This dealer is untrustworthy and should not be a BBB member if they won't discuss a dispute.

  The buyer purchased an item and requested a service that we do not offer to you have the ring sized.  She was unhappy with the ring and returned it and the payment that she made by credit card for the ring sizing she filed a charge back through her credit card company which is a service that we paid a Jeweler for that is not refundable.  The credit card company agreed with us and credited back our account.

  I am rejecting this response because:oldtre333 told me they could size the ring to a 7 and that is what the $144 fee is for.  **** of America/my cc co.  did NOT agree with them, because they  could not contact dealer old tr directly because old tr333 WOULD NOT RESPOND TO THEIR BANK IN ****.  I was told by old tr they COULD SIZE THE RING TO A 7 according to email I received from them via ***** hence the $144 additional charge over price of the ring. I was NEVER TOLD THEY COULD NOT SIZE THE RING!  This dealer had a complaint about a watch accd to your BBB records in 2019 and the buyer said he was "threatened" by oldtr and dropped the complaint.  I see oldtr is NOT EVEN A MEMBER OF BBB and works out of their home worth over $2mil, and I see how they can afford such a place by their horrid business activities.  I have paid their $144, but want BBB of **** to know what a terrible business this is and wish there were something you and **** could do about them.
