On 11/19/24 I received 3 sets (3 months supply) of Balance of Nature supplements while I still had approximately 1 1/2 months remaining of my current supply. I contacted them to let them know I still had supply remaining and that I didnt need any additional much less 3 months worth. Their response was that returns only apply to the original order and that I couldnt return or get a refund for the order.I have since cancelled my subscription as I cant abide by there loading up orders with way more than I need.Whether or not I get a refund for this order is not the issue, but rather I would like to publicize the fact that they send out and bill automatically for more supply than is needed. Perhaps to increase the number of sales in their ledger.Though I have continued to use the capsules I really havent seen a benefit but I continued to use them thinking maybe I would at some point realize the benefit their commercial purport. On December 4, 2022, you signed up to receive orders as a Preferred Customer. As stated on our website, ordering as a Preferred Customer gives you wholesale pricing, Health Coaching at no additional charge, and convenient automatic shipments every 28 days. As such, you had the option to reschedule, hold, or cancel your shipments at any time. Taking the recommended 3 Fruits and 3 Veggies capsules every day will complete a single set of our Fruits & Veggies supplements in the span of a month.
Our Returns Policy provides a full, guaranteed refund for your first order as a Preferred Customer so long as the request is made within 30 days of receiving said order.
Rest assured that your account was canceled on November 15, 2024. You will not receive any further shipments from Balance of Nature unless you call in or use our website to reorder.
We are sorry to see you go and would love to continue to support you. In addition, they reached out to me today, 12/13/24, via phone to explain why I had received such a large order with apologies and are refunding a part of that order.
I appreciated their honesty and accepted their explanation. As a consequence I am continuing my subscription for Balance of Nature product.

I was trying to return a package to them because I do not want the products and I do not want the service. I sent it back and paid for the shipping but they refused the package and it came back to me without even opening the package, refusing to accept it. They claim to have a refund policy but I have been trying to communicate with them through email and phone call to try to get this going, but they wouldn**;t communicate back. I just wanted to return this, I wanted to use this for one month for medical reasons but with charging my card monthly without permission and the product itself was nauseating, I wanted to be rid of it. Our records indicate that on October 24, 2024, you called in to cancel your Preferred Customer account and to request a refund for your most recent order. That same day, a Return Merchandise Authorization was issued for the return of your product.
On November 1, 2024, our records show that you filed a chargeback with your financial institution. On November 7, 2024, we accepted the chargeback since you had requested to cancel your account before the next order was created. You should have received your full refund at that time.
Rest assured that your account has been canceled. You will not receive any further shipments from Balance of Nature unless you call in or use our website to reorder.

We called BoN back on August 26th 2024 informing them we wanted our subscription on hold and the September order would be our last one until further notice because we were moving. We also informed them we did not want any more orders shipped to our address due to a missing order in June. We contacted **** several times to no avail.We received a CC notification on 11-22-24 that they were charging us again for another order. We called the same day knowing it wasn't shipped yet, but were told they would not reverse the charge.IF it was shipped, you sent it to our old address, because we never gave you our new address.We are disputing the charge with our CC and at this point we are CANCELING entirely because of these problems.Business Response

Both parties accepted this on the call as you were supposed to call us with the updated address. Since this was accepted we can not honor your refund request.

On November 1 I placed an order with Balance of Nature, Order No. #******** I received the order on November 8. Upon receipt I checked the list of ingredients and determined that it would be best for me to not take the Balance of Nature supplements. I researched the return policy and filled out the online form. I reported that both bottles remained sealed and unopened. I was informed that shortly I would receive an email advising me of the return process. I did not receive that email so approximately a week later I filed it again, this time stating that if I did not receive the promised instructions I would file this complaint. To date I have not received the instructions in accordance with their stated return policy. Meanwhile I have received approximately 50 marketing emails from the company.Business Response

I was a subscriber with Balance of Nature. Customer Servicer was very good for the most part. I had to cancel the subscription because I could no longer afford it. I did that September 2024. In October they withdrew 69.95 on the 20th. I phoned and said that I had cancelled my subscription. They said yes it is cancelled. I said you took out $69.95 and we're not shipping the product. I was transferred to an automated refund line where you leave a message with your information. You are then told you someone will be in touch with you in 3 to 5 buy days . On the fifth day, I received a text saying that I would receive a refund in up to 10 days!! This is day 9, so they should tell customers they will receive the refund in 10 business days. Really.. So on the 20th of this month, Nov. Balance of Nature withdrew another $69.95. again I called and was told my account was cancelled. I explained again that they were hitting my account and not sending a product because my account is cancelled. I told them not to transfer me to refunds that this was an issue on there end and it needed to be resolved. I was told the matter would be elevated and to expect a call in an hour. No call back. I phoned again explained my situation and was transferred to the automated refund system. I hung up called back and was told the matter would be elevated and to expect a call ina day or two. Day 3 no call from whomever handles elevated customer issues. Appalling. However good the product is makes absolutely no difference if the processes in dealing with the customer is abhorrent. They certainly take your money out quick enough. Service is good if you are buying their products. 4 to 5 weeks to straighten out and error on their end is unacceptable. Believe me I will spread the word on subscriptions and Balance of Nature. Buyer Beware. I had to cancel my debit card to be sure they would not hit again.Business Response

We would like to first and foremost apologize for the quality of service you have received. There has been a change to our customer relationship management system in the last month, and we are working on resolutions as they are needed.
Our Returns Department called you twice this past week, once on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, and another on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Unfortunately, we were not able to speak with you at these times and left you a voice message after each attempt.
As our agents explained in their voice messages, we are currently unable to find any charge made on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Our records indicate that the most recent order was made on Saturday, October 19, 2024, which was refunded on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. We have received the photographs you provided of your bank statement and are currently investigating the matter with our IT team.
Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to find the missing information on our end. Until we have more information, there is no way to issue a refund.
We will attempt to call you again tomorrow—our Returns Department does not regularly accept live, inbound phone calls. Please write to [email protected] to schedule a time to call and ensure a resolution is met.

11/14/2024 Balance of Nature has debited my account $119.90 mistakenly. I changed the method of payment to my wife's credit card. This has been the method of payment the entire year. Balance of Nature performed a software upgrade according to their employee and lost the latest billing information. I have not been able to speak with an employee in the department that will return my $119.90 to my account. I get a recording that tells me to wait for 3 to 5 business days, then someone will call. Balance of Nature stole $119.90 from my checking account and makes it extremely difficult to get my money back. I want the BBB to take action on this as soon as possible and also ensure that this does not happen again. A business should not store old methods of payment once they have been changed, they should be deleted.Business Response

My phone number is the same as it was for the last 28 years. They have not tried to call me. I have not gotten an email with return shipping label to return product. I did not pause it - I cancelled it. Your representative obviously entered that information incorrectly. I have tried calling you but have been on hold for 20 minutes. With no help. So I need a return label sent to me and a refund. They have sent nothing. I have checked my email. They are providing false information.

I am rejecting this response because:I contacted my financial institution. I had contacted them earlier to tell them this charge was not authorized. You contacted me and asked me to drop the dispute and then you would process a refund. So I contacted them. They told me this is a common scam. You ask me to drop the dispute and then do not issue refund. I would then never be able to file a claim again and you get away with it. They asked me to forward a copy of this request to them. That they would contact your bank and get the refund you offered. So while you were forced to issue the refund at the end you were still atempting to scam me. So yes this is closed but you are contemptable. You lied all along. You should not be allowed to do business and rip people off.
