      How can a business that has sold a product costing tens of thousands of $$$ simply respond to clients and say 'sorry we can't help you as we are no longer in business'. Surely you were moral enough to have insurance to cover poor workmanship, claims and compensation? What kind of human being gains the trust of the public and then bail on any responsibility. It is unethical, immoral, shady and illegal. I'm sure the owners and maybe even the employees got paid and the customers, in many cases, are abandoned. Absolutely astounding. Face the music and attend to your duties and responsibilities. It's an absolute disgrace. Shame on you.

      Fluent Solar, LLC, installed new solar panels on my roof. The panels work but the roof is leaking under the panels because of poor workmanship; the roof was not leaking prior to the solar panels being installed. To make repairs to the roof, the panels need to be removed and the roof replaced for a manufacture warranty to be available. I contacted the representative that I dealt with ***** ****** and told him there was a problem with the roof leaking. His response was that he couldn’t deal with this at the time, and I told him I would call him back. Since then, I’ve called back at least 10 times and left messages, but there have been no return calls. Fluent seems to have gone into hiding and cannot be reached to see if they will compensate for any repairs at all. Estimates for repairs are in excess of $26,000, and they need to be done quickly because the damage is just getting worse.

      March 2024 they finally got it installed. September 2024 I am contacted by the financial institution that the business is out of business. There is a warranty with the solar panels...who do I contact if needed? I purchased the batteries and solar panels. I received the solar attic vent as well....who do I call when things break down? Amount paid for the whole system is $55,051.27

      This is the second complaint I have filed against this business and their dishonest sales practices. I was promised the first 18 months of my solar payments would be reimbursed by Fluent at time of sale, and they initially tried to use some made up loophole to say I wasnt eligible after I called numerous times and was told that payments would begin. After my first complaint to BBB, they finally started reimbursing me and I received 9 of 18 payments before they inexplicably stopped. Repeated calls informed me that they were trying to get Dividend Finance to take over the remainder of customer reimbursements and to stay tuned but of course nothing has happened and now they are unsurprisingly out of business. I am owed $2130.99 in reimbursements that Ill likely never see, and am also stuck with a system that only produces at about 60% of the design estimates, which they told me that some customers had a warranty for, but of course not me. Fluent Solar is the most dishonest company Ive ever worked with and they give solar energy a bad name. I am furious.

      I purchased a solar power system from Fluent Solar in June 2022. I signed a contract to pay $160 a month for 25 years to pay for the system which cost $40,000. Since I was currently paying around that for electricity it seemed like a reasonable deal. Shockingly, after 1 year the monthly payment price jumped to $275. I was never informed this would happen, I understood the $160 a month to be through the 25 year term. Secondly I told the salesman I was having the roof replaced and we could do it after new roof installed. He told me they would return to my home and remove the frame work so the new roof could be installed and put panels back up at no additional cost. They were to also come out and do a yearly inspection and cleaning. These promises made are now moot as the company went out of business. I assume they took advantage of the government assistance for solar system installation did a brisk business for a couple of years and skipped out voiding all agreements. Now I'm having issues with installing a new roof as independent companies want $5000 for the solar removal/reinstallation. I think they sold the debt to a bank, thus the 65% increase in payment, and left me holding the bag for all future service they promised. I can't even find out who owns the note or solar contract now.

      The customer's loan agreement includes a standard provision stating that the loan amount increases after 18 months if a portion is not paid down using available tax credits or other funds. This structure is clearly outlined in the loan documents that the customer signed with the loan provider. We do not have control over the loan terms or payment adjustments, as the financing is handled directly by the lender.
      We strive to ensure our customers understand their financing options and encourage them to review all loan documents before signing. If the customer has further concerns regarding their loan terms, we recommend they reach out directly to their loan provider (******) for further clarification at **************

      I would also like to add that we understand that the customer was told the panels could be removed and reinstalled after a roof replacement. However, per industry standards, solar removal and reinstallation typically come with additional costs unless specifically included in a written agreement. We have no documentation of a agreement or offer regarding this service at no charge.

      Fluent Solar mislead me cost more than spoke of even more than contract. System not communicating with ***************. Paying regular bill plus paying loan company for product. They won't answer call or text. We're a disabled household.

      They scammed us. They drilled a nail into our water pipe during installation and we have not received any compensation that was promised. We have tried to contact them multiple times and nothing. We have a $32,000 loan that is pointless .

      This company was okay. We liked the sales pitch and sales rep that came by and so we decided that we would purchase solar panels from this company. We also had family that did business with them and they stated they enjoyed their experience with them as well and we felt comfortable to move forward with business with Fluent Soalr. My list of complaints is as follows: -Took FOREVER for the Solar Panels to be up and operational -Their installer drilled a hole through the side of our house and into our office and left it like that for about a week and a half before hiring an outside contractor to come and fix it -They financed us at about $15K more than what we were actually quoted and we didn't know that/have those numbers until it was too late to do anything about it since we had a year of deferred payments on the solar panels. -They are impossible to get a hold of and they never contact you back when they say they will Now that they are out of business and I still owe $40K on solar panels, who the heck am I supposed to contact if I run into issues??

While we strive to complete installations as efficiently as possible, we cannot guarantee specific timelines due to the multiple parties involved in the process. Permitting, inspections, utility approvals, and other external factors can all affect the timeline, and each entity has its own approval process and timeline.
      2. Hole in the House Repair: Regarding the damage caused during installation, we acknowledge that this issue occurred and understand the customers frustration. As a ********************** installation company, we are not drywall or siding repair specialists, so repairs of this nature must be completed by a professional contractor. We took the necessary steps to bring in an outside contractor to properly address and fix the issue.
      3. Financing Amount: The total purchase price, including financing details, was outlined in the agreement and loan documents that were reviewed and signed by the customer. We encourage all customers to thoroughly review their contracts and financing terms before finalizing their purchase to ensure full understanding.
      4. Customer Support & *********************** Closure: We acknowledge the customers difficulty in reaching support and understand their concerns now that Fluent Solar is no longer in business. While Fluent Solar is no longer operating, the manufacturer warranty for their solar equipment is still in place. If the customer experiences system issues in the future, we recommend reaching out to the equipment manufacturer, who can provide assistance under their warranty terms.

      The sales person and contract state that I am supposed to get 18 months of reimbursement checks and I have yet to receive the last 7 or 8 checks totaling close to 1000$. No one has contacted me about why they haven't been sent out even though I have called and emailed several times. This is terrible business and I've still kept up on my payments despite not receiving what I was promised via the contract that we both signed.
