    Utopia bore through the ground in my neighborhood to put in fiber, ruined my sprinkler lines, and refused to take ownership which cost me roughly $1,000. Not only that, but the coverage is no better than any other internet service. My internet goes out all the time, video calls drop which my family needs for work, and it costs more than other companies. I had a contractor come who ended up moving the fiber box and had to call Utopia to come put it back up and the Utopia rep had a major attitude. Every experience has been disappointing. I would put 0 stars if I could.

    My tenant refused to pay their bills. Instead of informing me, Utopia happily sent it to *** for debt collection. I asked Utopia why they had done this instead of JUST CALLING ME, and they said it was all a misunderstanding - refute the bill with *** and give them evidence it was the tenant. I did so, and *** disappeared for months. Then suddenly I'm getting sued by *** for non-payment. The $150 utility bill has inflated to over $500 because of attorney's fees! HOW!? Why didn't they JUST CALL ME to let me know I was still going to be liable!? Every step of this corrupt process could have been avoided if people had proactively communicated, but because they're corrupt, they'd rather make a bunch more money on it.Utopia says they're helpless to solve it -- it's already passed to ***. *** says they're helpless to solve it, it's already passed to their attorney. How convenient -- everyone washes their hands of responsibility, and their cronies all make extra money with this deliberate bureaucratic trickery. The *** employee who was responsible for my account no longer works there, so they're unable to ask why the call wasn't made -- how convenient. I'm held responsible for their willful failure, and they and their cronies make more and more money with every mistake they make.Corrupt at every step.
