This company ( BRIO Energy, LLC) should have gotten in touch with all their customers that had solar panels installed on their home.. I had them put on -- May 11, 2020. We bought this system in 2020 after a new roof was installed. Brio Energy did not schedule to work on our house when they brought the parts, they left it out front for 2 weeks. I had to move it to the back yard behind my fence. After they showed up, they started the install and stopped the installation. They came back after 1 week to resume the work to only stop the installation again. When they finally completed the installation of the panels, I had to make them move some of the panels because the corner edge was touching my new shingles. For the electrical installation we still do not have any security brackets to hold the galvanized tubing on the side of our house. Even where the tubing enters the house there is no caulking or cover plate to keep the insects and weather out. The installation you are supposed to have added to your house we are still lacking. In our bedroom the celling instillation is still the original installation and the crew that was blowing in the installation never put any over the bedroom section. They had to come back to repair the system after they started it up because they wired it backwards. We have complained about this and when the system went down again. They did send a person to come out to repair the system and insured us that someone would contact us about the other problems. We mentioned that when the system was working that it looks like it is not strong enough to power the house. They said it was fine and they will look into it. We cannot reach anyone at Brio Energy or ********************* or whatever they are calling themselves now. In the contract we are supposed to have the system installed and service for the length of the loan. Where is the service. This is a breach of contract. What are we supposed to do now. As of now we have a solar system on our house for show because it is still not working.

We bought our solar system in 2017 and it worked fine until April of 2023. It is not registering any solar power now with our electrical power company. We need help and can't find a working phone number to contact ****. Are they still in business?

I had solar panels installed in July 2018, they had been working ok until May 2021. ** June we received a high electric ****, so I called Dominion Energy thinking it was a problem on their part. They told me I have to call Brio Solar Energy. Give them a call the same day and they would send someone out to check it. It took almost 3 months before someone came out. Come to find out my system was old and not working anymore. The technician had to order a new box to process or produce energy. It would be any month before the new box arrive at my home and 3 months before a technician would come out to replace it. We have had a full electric **** from June 2021 - January 2022. Brio said I would reimburse for those months. I sent an email and received this respond, "We're glad to hear that the problem has been resolved. In regard to this request for reimbursement, we will submit this to the finance department. Just to set proper expectations that this is still subject to review and approval. We will update you as soon as we hear back from them. We appreciate your kind understanding. Thank you!" This was back in January and here it's May 19, 2022. The website is not working and the 2 phone numbers are disconnected. In the beginning they did put enough panels and another company add more. We are prepared to take this to court.

I purchased a 28 panel Solar Edge system from Brio Energy in ************************************ early 2017. I never received a link to keep track of my energy usage to begin with and never followed up because I work late. Finally reached out to Solar Edge and they helped me with the monitoring app and can now see my usage. After receiving the electric ****, it seems as if the solar system isn't really impacting my energy **** and it may be under producing. I have been on their website and it seems as if it shutdown. I tried calling them only to hear that the phone number listed is no longer in service. I also sent emails and got it kicked back as that doesn't work either. The last option was to use the chat function, but no one has responded. I would like some support and a re-evaluation of my solar system.

If I could leave 0 stars I would, my story is long, A friend of mine told me about Brio energy in 2018, he knew my electric bills were very very very high! I called Brio and they sent a salesman up to Idaho to my location from Utah to talk to me about their services. He went over all of my electric bills, and after doing some calculations for about an hour to two hours came up with what I would save. Even with all the equipment and paying for that for 20 years, I saw no downside because the equipment was going to cost what my electric bill was running in the summer alone. My winter bills were running anywhere from $500-$900 a month. So at a cost of $320 a month pretty much year-round, it looked like a win-win. But I was not convinced, so I had him call his boss and I talked with him for a few minutes to get peace of mind. I decided it couldn’t be any worse than the amount of money I was spending on my electric bill monthly already. This was in October 2018, they finished the install two months later in December 2018. After installing the disconnect on the front of my house. Which is something you never never do by the way. You never mount conduit or any electrical boxes of any kind on the front of someone’s house. As this is a common no-brainer, practice. As I am an electrician in Idaho and have never done such a thing. They didn’t even ask me if it was OK. They just drilled a hole through my brick straight through to my panel because it was the easiest way to get to the panel. So that was the first red flag! Second, they used my lightning rods on my roof to tie a rope to and used to climb up and down from the ground to my roof causing my lightning rod to wobble around and cause a big hole in my roof and be crooked. I saw this when they were finished and told them they better fix that or my roof would leak! Now remember, they finish the installIn 2018 December. After failing many many inspections by the inspectors in Idaho, not only the drawings but also other things I was contacted by another super nice gentleman/master electrician that was hired to try and get things rolling and straightened out he contacted me about what we were going to need to do to get this service passed. As I said i’m an electrician and I offered to do some of the things needed to update and get changed to get my equipment turned on helping not only myself but them to try and expedite the situation to get my solar turned on faster. I did this at no cost so they would not have to hire a crew and send a crew up here multiple times to try and get my service adequate. This would also help this process faster, so I thought. After numerous trips from Orem up here to Idaho We finally got everything satisfactory to turn the service on. This was January 2020. It took them over a year and a month to get my service turned on from the time the equipment was installed. In All of this time I was waiting to get this thing going, I had been Trying to contact Brio over this period of time And could almost never get a hold of anyone. No one would ever answer the phone in their offices or otherwise. I had a friend that lived in Utah that I sent to their office in Orem to see if they were still in business. They were. Over the course of the last three years I have contacted over 20 different people because they cannot keep people working there. I have had four project managers just for my service. This brings me to the next problem. They typically use a Rocky Mountain Power. And my contract was no different, the only problem is, Rocky Mountain power does not service my area.I was promised, yes I said promised, $.11-$.13 per kilowatt hour to sell back to the grid. This is a great benefit. And this is also why in the beginning I decided to go with solar because of the savings I would have. Because the contract was No good, breach of contract, none of this came to pass and could not be so. so now the benefit I was counting on is completely gone. One of the project managers I was dealing with talked with the owner on my behalf about trying to make it right since I was now going to be out all of the savings. He decided they would install batteries on their dime to make up for the screwup. This was over two years ago and still nothing has changed. I have bent over backwards and have been patient for three years paying not only my high electric bill, but also the equipment bill. Which together comes to a total around $700 a month. Now this is costing me more than if I would have not done anything obviously. So not only am I not saving money I am actually losing twice as much as if I had not done this. when they actually do contact me, which is very seldom because I usually have to send emails, because you cannot call their phone number and actually get a person, and you cannot leave a message because your mailbox is always full, G what a shocker! They have since told me to send them a letter/email of what I expect. I sent them three options. Number one option was they can take their equipment off of my roof and replace my roof putting me back to where I started. They would have to pay off the loan for the equipment and replace my roof which would cost them around $87,000. My roof is a $40,000 roof. Option number two was they could buy me batteries, yes I said plural batteries, not a battery, but multiple because this is the only way to even get close to compensation for my loss of being able to sell back to the grid like they promised. Option number three was they could pay off the cost of the equipment/loan for this endeavor and I would just deal with it. These are the options I gave them A couple months ago! And guess what? Crickets! I have heard nothing back. As far as I am concerned these people are criminals. And do not want to make it right. I have tried to avoid legal action, but I’ve been told by my attorney that I should just move forward with that recourse. I have given them nothing but time time time time time. Hoping that some agreeable option will come to pass. Like I said, in my phone contacts I have the names of 24 different people who I have dealt with at Brio. OrTotal Solar Solutions or Bello or Avolta or whatever the hell they are calling themselves today. I am frustrated that by going solar I have gone from $330 in the summer two $650 in the summer because of the equipment/loan. In the winter, I have gone from $500-$750 before solar to 820.00 to $1000 for electricity per month. As of today, 9/12/2021 I still am waiting for their so called CEO or owner or whoever to compensate me this mistake. This is costing me a fortune to have solar. Jason Gutierrez. Albion Idaho!

A Colorado resident that is very frustrated at the moment. Our system was installed in November and apparently is not transmitting the information to **** Energy. I've spoken to a couple people and have been told they have a shortage of technicians so it will take a while. So far, nobody has come to check the system out. And, now, nobody will return messages and am unable to leave any type of message. Saving money using solar, has now cost us more per month for the loan payment being made. If BRIO would respond and take care of the issue, I would change my view of them. But right now, I don't have much confidence in them.

I contracted with Brio to install solar panels along with a roof replacement and tree removal. The roof people showed up unannounced at my house ready to install the roof. No calls from Brio. No calls from the roofer. Just showed up out of the blue. The roofer was tasked with removing the dish on my roof. Didn’t do it. Had to ask over and over and over again making around 5 calls to Brio because I knew this dish would interfere with the panels. Finally the dish was removed after the roof guys came back and finally did it. Then months later solar panels just show up at my house. No contact. Just hey, where can we put these? At this point I’ve called Brio repeatedly asking when my trees will get trimmed. No reply. Weeks go by. My yard under the panels has died. Then without any notice guys show up at the house to install the panels. They have to cut power. My wife is working from home. So they physically install the panels but they can’t test the panels without full sunlight and can’t get full sunlight without the tree being trimmed so they can’t turn the system on because they can’t complete the test so they leave. I then receive notice that the loan has been activated and I will need to make my first payment! The panels are not on, the tree trimming is not complete, but Brio activated the loan! So I repeatedly called Brio trying to find out when my trees will get trimmed. I had to threaten a lawsuit to get them to call me. Find out the Tree quote isn’t even complete at this point. After two more weeks of calling Brio they finally schedule the tree trim for this Tuesday, nearly two months after the solar panels went in. My trees got trimmed on Tuesday so I call to find out when my panels will finally be activated. I’m on call #4 without an answer. I’m making my second months payment. Still nothing connected. This is the worst customer service I can imagine. DO NOT use this company for your solar panel installation! Ever.

I would definitely NOT recommend Brio. I waited 12 months to have my solar installation completed. Nothing was ever done without a phone all from me. Huge staff turnover, never allowed to be in touch with so-called 'project manager'; three times project managers name changed. Four times crews sent out to correct previous crews work, only because I called. Have been paying 6 months on my loan without the solar being operational. Over the last 10 days, no one answers the phone, and voice mailbox is full. I would give them zero stars.
