This bunch, operating under a pseudonym of Upstart is in the bait and switch league of information thieves. They are being promoted by ************************* A loan of ********* is touted at 7-8%. Then, after all of your financial information is provided, the loan available is $3000 with a *****% interest rate. This is a scam! Borrower beware! A very nasty bunch of frauds these people are. I am being charged $****** for a $3500 loan. I paid ******* and ***** came off the loan. This is a rent a bank scam. They sent me a letter to apply for a loan. I am unable to get my original loan application. I am unable to sign into my account. I have stopped payment on any further withdrawals. I have an attorney and have sent a letter to *************************. I cant get a payoff nor a letter to confirm once the loan is paid in full, I wont hear from them again. Im willing to file a class action suit!!! Why would U pay ****** for a 3500 loan I didnt need? I just wanted to consolidate my credit cards. Im on social security, and they will not get a dime from me. *********** is a scam. Stay clear.

I've settled my account in full. And have spoke with multiple representative that assured me over and over they would update my account.. yet my credit report still shows they have me as delinquent. I'm sooo frustrated I contacted the BBB. I highly suggest not getting involved with Rise. I'm still waiting for my status to be fixed. Also, EVERY TIME I've called Rise they refuse to let me speak with a supervisor.FinWise Bank Response

I needed extensive dental work following a random assualt. I was moving out of state and saw a dentist when arrived by basic name recognition. Plan to lpull teeth and make dentures. It well exceeded my dental coverage. The office arranged loan with " their people ". I paid 50 towards the loan then and dentist 250 more. Procedure doy I could not compete the procedure.the trauma of the attack made it impossible for me to be awake for it. The dentist stopped and left. Nothing was done other than X-rays. A woman told me that she was a aiBle to go ahead and imprints for dentures. Then when I came back ,, after a pill ordered " they were compete. Nothing ever happened . No teeth removed , nothing. But they billed ******** plan and this loan company and both paid in full in less than 48 hours. My mouth nearly a full year later is exactly the same. I paid for 4 or 6 months. And I still owe just about what I did. *** me. I am the only one that got screwed. Hard. Get your money back from your friends at the dentist office. I just can't do it.Review from Nancy P

I do the banking for a small business and we currently have 15 checking accounts with FinWise Bank. In every aspect, they have been wonderful to work with. If I have problems or questions, they are always there immediately to assist. The branch manager, ********, excels at customer service. Their website is extremely user friendly. I can't speak highly enough about FinWise, from their staff to their website to their low fees and high interest bearing accounts.FinWise Bank Response

Spent weeks on the application process did everything right got approved and it dropped my credit 77 POINTS!!! So they then turned around and denied me due to the drop. A hard inquiry should never drop your credit more than 30 points it was ridiculous. They then can't do anything about it so they approved us, ruined our credit, denied us. And now we can't get approved anywhere else. What a terrible place.FinWise Bank Response

I was in need of Financing for repairs for my car and the shop sent me a link to a company financed through FinWise Bank. I was approved for a loan and informed to contact the shop to let them know that I was approved so that the shop could begin work on my vehicle. I was told by the shop (not by any documentation from FinWise or it's affiliate business name) that the terms for the loan would be in the paperwork upon picking up the vehicle but that only a down payment would be due of $50 to pick my vehicle up. The work was completed and I went to pick my car up anticipating a monthly amount of roughly $300 for the $5000 loan I'd been approved for. When I arrived the paperwork was produced for 2 monthly payment of $320 for 40+ payments totaling over $14K for a $5K loan. It was not only predatory because terms were not provided upfront but extortionary because the work had already been completed on my car and I had no choice but to commit to the contract and take up this issue in collections and with a lawyer.FinWise Bank Response

My accredited bank approved me for a debt consolidation. Spent 3 hours this morning trying to get a payoff letter needed in order to payoff the loan!! After 5 representatives, still nothing!! If anyone else sees this, it only takes 2 people to file a class action law-suit! My family lawyer will be reaching out to them, especially after reading these reviews.FinWise Bank Response
