I called Basement Detective to have them review a mold issue in my laundry room. On May 25, 2022 I signed a contract with Mr. Tim F********** of Basement Detective and placed a deposit of $570.00. with the remaining $1,330.00 to be paid when the work was completed. Mr. F********** stated I would be contacted to schedule the remediation. I discovered that there was a water leak. I contacted Mr. F********** on May 31, 2022 and informed him that a plumber needed to come and resolve the issue. On June 3, 2022, the female dispatcher (unfortunately I don't remember her name) called to place me on the schedule.. I told her a plumber needed to come and that I had spoken with Mr. F**********. She said she would place me on the afternoon schedule for June 9,2022. She was to contact Mr. F********** regarding a plumber. I contacted my own plumber on Tuesday, June 6, 2022. On Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 2 p.m., I received a call from the female dispatcher stating the workers were on their way. I did not receive a courtesy call the day before. I told her that I did not want them to come and informed her that no plumber had been sent. I stated my plumber would be at my home on Friday, June 10, 2022. She asked if I had heard from Mr. F********** and I said no. I stated no work would be done until the leak was fixed. She asked if she could call me Friday, June 10, 2022 in the early evening. I said yes. The female dispatcher did not call me on Friday evening and as of today. June 12, 2022, neither she or any employee of Basement Detective has contacted me. Due to the lack of response, I want to cancel my contract and my deposit of $570.00 refunded..
