      Not sure why CarFax is legal! They report false information and have no proof. No phone numbers to reach them, all online and no response from their Customer Support. The burden of proof is on the owner of the vehicle to prove their false reports as such. Should be illegal in the **.

      Carfax report shows accident in 2014 to my car caused airbags to deploy which is incorrect - they did not deploy. Got body shop details from 2 different insurance companies showing work done and both documents CLEARLY does mention ANY airbags issue. Sent this to Carfax and was told they now needed a copy of the accident report. Went to local OH State Patrol Office to obtain report and was told OH does not keep records past 5 years of accident. Even called State Patrol headquarters in ******** and was told same thing. Gave that info to Carfax. They insisted they needed copy of accident. Since there is no report available, requested they forward to me a copy of the accident they have, and they totally ignored to reply and have "gone stealth" on further communication. With information from Carfax saying airbags were deployed the book value of my car is $1,000s lower because of their mistake. Accident was caused by other driver and his ************ (State Farm) covered the entire cost of repair and no mention of airbag deployment. Absolute horrible Customer ********************** from ********************. BEWARE!!!!

      CarFax Reports is a sham. No phone support and Resolution Manager not assigned to my case to have a bogus service record removed for my wife's ****** No service whatsoever for March 18, 2025 at ************ performed on vehicle. Vehicle serviced March 13, 14 and 27, 2025 only.

      Before you take your car to service centers, ask them if they report services to carfax and if they do, do not give them your vehicle. I took my car for an oil change and the dealership falsely reported damage even if the car has never seen any damage at all. Carfax told me that it's fraud from a verified source which is complete bullshit without providing any evidence or what I have on file or attempting to correct it. I'm never going to that dealership again and will ask and make sure that future dealerships I go to don't work with Carfax.

      False information reporting. And ZERO customer support. Their so called reporting is causing consumers to lose thousands of dollars!!! Their services need to be stopped!!! I would,give zero stars - but its not an option!

      If I could leave 0 stars I would! The accusations made from carfax against my personal property are completely unfounded. As the owner, I have the right to know the source of these false allegations and to address them directly in an effort to resolve this matter. Carfax must provide the requested information regarding this claim. I possess both written and photographic evidence proving that this vehicle has never sustained any damage of any kind. It is unjust and potentially unlawful to be denied the opportunity to protect and defend my personal property against such claims. Furthermore, Carfax asserts that this claim has been verified—however, I request full transparency on how this verification was conducted. Where is the proof? Who covered the alleged damages? If this were a legitimate claim, I would already have access to this information rather than having to navigate unnecessary obstacles to rectify the situation. This erroneous report has resulted in a significant loss of time and money, in addition to causing extreme emotional distress and anxiety. Carfax’s handling of this matter is deeply flawed and must be addressed immediately.

      It wasn't until I tried to sell my first car that I realized the absolute incompetence of Carfax despite an entire industry that relies on them. Carfax's automated method of tracking vehicle changes often completely inaccurate and their lack of support fails to address this common occurrence. I am literally being held hostage by Carfax because they refuse to correct a mistake made by the CA DMV when I had already moved and had the mistake corrected on my title in another state. This mistake has prevented my ability to sell my car, and reduced its resale value by over 50%. Carfax has refused to correct this error after over a month waiting for a reply on my open case. Their states solution was passing the buck, with incorrect instructions for something I couldn't even accomplish because I had moved out of state from where my original title came. What further frustrates me is that each time I moved state Carfax considers each new title as a "new owner"! My carfax says 4 owners, but I leased my car new and purchased it at lease end. 1 owner and Carfax won't fix it! The amount of stress Carfax has caused me and impacted my life is insane. I lost my home due to unemployment and my inability to sell my car entirely because of Carfax. This company and their lack of realization that they hold peoples lives hostage is a crime. The entire industry bases valuations on Carfax yet this company provides zero support for a service that "gets it wrong" so often. If I wasn't broke I would sue Carfax because their incompetence has cost me thousands of dollars and impacted my life severely. Unfortunately there is no alternative. This is a monopoly that seems to know there is no alternative and have gone to great lengths it seems to offer zero support. How on earth does this company still have a BBB A rating!?!?

      I got an oil change a couple of weeks ago and the young attendant made a mistake on the mileage by 5000 miles. I had the oil shop send carfax the corrected mileage, and I sent the corrected receipt, and seemingly dont care to fix the problem. Bad customer relations!
