WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE, these people will never get another dime out of me. Took my car to get it repaired after an accident accrued. Got my car back drove it home it was fine the very next day my check engine light came on and had my car sounding like a truck mind you I dont have a truck. Called spoke with ***** was advised to bring it back to them so they can take a look at it, they looked at it turned out to be a pipe that had came undone due to their negligence. So they tightened my pipe back up, cleared my code and sent me about my way. The next day my engine light was on again, went back code was cleared AGAIN. So made an appointment for them to diagnose it they go to tell me that I need to replace the canister and that it is from wear and tear. Now Im no mechanic but I know for a FACT thats not from that! Plus they made me pay for my own diagnostic fee which I feel as if they should have covered it due to their negligence in the first place. Needless to say they will NOT be getting my business anymore.

We did indeed have to correct a disconnected intercooler pipe one day post the repair. The disconnected pipe did cause the check engine lamp to illuminate. Once the pipe was properly fastened to the intercooler, we ran another diagnostic scan, cleared the codes, and took the car for a test drive to insure the lamp would not reilluminate. The lamp did not come back on during the test drive. About a week or so later the customer called me again, informing me that the check engine lamp had come back on. We again pulled the car back into the shop, removed the front bumper, and checked the pipes leading to the intercooler again (at no charge). This time the pipes were still securely fastened into place. We then ran a second diagnostic scan (at no charge), and found fault P2422 "Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Vent Valve Stuck". We reported the newest scan result to her, and informed her that we could not relate this issue to the pipe slipping off the intercooler, nor could we relate the problem to the repair. The vacuum canister is located near the rear of the car. The accident occured to the front of the car. The intercooler feeds to a turbo system leading to the air intake of the motor. The vacuum canister feeds to fuel lines. Typically this problem comes from debris finding its way into the fuel lines. At this time we cleared the code. We warned her that the lamp would come on again if the canister was still having the same issue. After speaking to her insurance company, we asked her to take the car to a ***** dealership to have the problem diagnosed. If the ***** dealership of her choice could relate this problem to the accident, her insurance company would pay to have the problem corrected. If the ***** dealership of her choice could relate the problem to the intercooler hose slipping off, we would pay the dealership for the diagnosis, and we would be happy to replace the vacuum canister, or even pay the dealership to replace the canister. A couple of more days had passed before I heard from Ms. ****** again. She then informs me that the ***** dealership she has attempted to schedule with is refusing to pull the car in for diagnosis simply because the car has been repaired by an outside repair shop. I asked Ms ****** if she would like for me to reach out to the dealer? She replied "I just want this to be over with, and no, I would rather not have to waste my time again with another ***** dealership." I then informed her that I could have our mechanic take a second look at this, rather than our autobody tech, but the outcome would be the same, and if we could not relate the problem to the accident or our repair, this diagnostic would run her $94.50. She was informed that there would be a charge for the second scan. We stand behind our diagnostic, that the vacuum canister needs to be replaced, and is not related to the accident, the repair, nor the intercooler pipe slipping out of place for no more than one day. She is choosing to not pursue this with any other ***** dealership for second opinions. The pipe slipping of the intercooler was corrected by us, and did not create the problem with her vacuum canister. When we repaired the vehicle it had ****** miles on it. At the time of our last diagnostic scan there were ******, a difference of ***** miles. At any given point debris in the fuel line could have triggered this.
