I agreed to purchase a new truck at an agreed out the door price. The truck was delivered but the dealer failed to mention that I had to pay ** taxes in addition to the agreed out the door price. When the dealer was confronted about this discrepancy, they stated the ** taxes were never part of the deal and that I was told this early on. I was never told this and I believe the salesperson was intentionally keeping this from me.

This customer did contact us regarding this concern. After reviewing the communication log with this customer and the final purchase documentation, it was clear that the figures that were agreed upon with the customer matched the final sales buyers order that the customer accepted at the time of delivery and signed. The statement was made multiple times from the very beginning of our process with this customer that since the customer resided in a different state, our OTD price included a 30-day temp tag so he could do his own registration in **.

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

At no point did the dealer tell me I would be responsible for paying my states taxes. They did tell me about the registration which I acknowledged, but said nothing about the taxes. Clearly they should never have called the price the *** price since it didnt include taxes. They are very dishonest and should pay the taxes they agreed to per the Vehicle Acquisition Form.

The business told me a vehicle was there and took a ***** dollar deposit on said vehicle that really wasnt there. Then ran my credit telling me that i could get a ****% interest rate and also lied about that. They did all this for nothing because i they wont refund my money

Customer originally agreed to purchase a new vehicle that was still in transit from the manufacturer. Customer placed a $2,000 partial payment on the vehicle to reserve it for himself. Customer was also notified that financing rate could not be guaranteed until his application was submitted to lenders after the vehicle arrived as most lender approvals expire after 30 days.

Customer was upset that vehicle has still not arrived from manufacturer yet and that interest rates have went up since originally discussing transaction. Both factors outside of dealers control.

Dealer has already refunded the $2,000 partial payment to the customer before receiving this complaint.

I bought a 2019 Ram **** in 2019 from Haley Automall in ********* **. The 2019 rams have a known issue of back glass leaking and of course it happened to mine. Luckily I was in the 3 year 36k mile warranty and the back glass was replaced but that was after 3 trips of claiming it wasn't leaking. I would get the truck back for roughly a week to maybe 2 weeks and it would be leaking again. It was visible stains on headliner and it was refused to be replaced until finally that was agreed to be replaced. After finally getting the headliner replaced I have had the truck for 6 days and it is back leaking again. Since May I have had the truck maybe a total of 20 days in over 2 months. Also when it was repaired plastic and paint has been damaged.

After telling us they inspected our van before selling it to us, we broke down on the side of the road with 2 young children in the car the day before thanksgiving (our lives were in danger). They told us they’d make it right. Well, it’s been almost a month and their “still waiting on upper management” to give permission to fix the engine they failed to check before selling it. So now we’re on our 4th week of waiting. Now they’re going to charge us *** for taxes for the engine they may or may not put in our car. It’s ridiculous! After talking to local friends we find out that many people have had these kind of issues with this business. I cannot believe this business is still open!!

The vehicle is covered under the extended warranty for the engine repair. At this time the engine is on back order. We are constantly calling for an update on the engine. As soon as we have more information on when the engine will be in we will reach out to the consumer to provide the update.

If they are not able to find an engine, then I want my money back. It is their fault that the engine was not inspected before the car was sold to us, therfore they should make it right and buy our car back from us so we can find a car that suits our needs. My husband is about to lose his job because we are trying to share one car and we cannot afford another car until this is resolved.
