On Aug. 16 2022, **** *** *******(Acct Executive) at 3Disc invited ******* *******(******* ***) & myself to a **** demo of their Intra Oral Scanner(IOS) named HERON.The HERON IOS was demonstrated, questions asked and information given. I was told that the scans from this device could be sent to any dental lab for prosto.(crowns, bridges etc.) as well as open tray aligner ortho.(**********). When asked how I could try the HERON in my practice I was told I had to pay up front before I could try it. 3Disc offered financing thru **** bank. I said this was unusual to pay up front with out trying the device. But then it was agreed that if I purchased the Heron(IOS) it would be reasonable to return it in 30 days if I wasn't satisfied. 8/16 Rec. 3Disc quote $14050. 8/18 Rec. Finance info from**** bank ** **********. 8/22 **** bank docs signed ** ******(Sr Acct Manager) money sent. 8/24 Rec. HERON(IOS). 8/29 Upon activation & setup discovered I had been misinformed that in fact I could not send scans to **********. 8/30 **** tried persuading me to switch from "**********" to "********" aligners. 9/6 **** training demo with ** ******** & **** in the office. 9/19 Decided to return the HERON to 3DISC (Not satisfied with the device & misled about Invisalign) notified by phone ****, *** ***** (executive vice president), ***** ****** ( Mnger, Accting & logitics) *******(******* ***); email **********(**** Bank) 9/21 Returned HERON by ***; Rec email from **** bank They can't cancel the financing until the full amount is refunded. 9/22 (IOS) signed & rec, by ** ****** 3Disc. 10/4 Emails from **** bank They haven't Rec the refund, suggest getting an attorney. 11/9 Spoke with ** ***** & sent *** Proof of Return. He said he would look into it and call back. 12/5 3DISC has not responded or tried to resolve the problem. I relied on an oral agreement that I complied with to try the Heron and return in 30 days. I believe I was misled and induced into this purchase.
