We are disputing a bill for a car rental #********* for my husband ***********************. We were told we must dispute the bill in writing to protect our rights. We sent copies of our bank statements and other documents to the billing department in ** over a month ago. We have visited the local office in person. We called customer service multiple times. We emailed the billing office. We emailed customer service. We even tried ********************** on ********* We are still being told we owe money, when actually we are due a refund. Here's a summary of charges from our bank statements. The first four debits were authorized by us. We called these in to Hertz weekly and we authorized permission to charge our bank debit card:5/9/2023 Hertz #******* debit of $365.92 (Note this reference number is different than all the other numbers listed on our bank statements.)5/17/2023 Hertz #******* debit of $365.94 5/24/2023 Hertz #******* debit of $365.92 5/31/2023 Hertz #******* debit of $365.92 The next two debits were NOT authorized by us. We did not call in. The debits showed up on our account without warning or authorization:6/14 Hertz #******* debit of $365.92 6/30 Hertz #******* debit of $365.92 This brings our total payment to a total of $2,195.54. We disputed the charges in June with our bank. We received a refund on 7/3 Hertz #******* for a credit of + $395.92. This adjustment brings our total payment to $1829.60. We have still overpaid and are due a refund of $365.92.Attached is the receipt sent to me by Hertz for the final rental of 5/22-5/29. I requested it because I did not see it showing up in the portal. This receipt was processed in May. *This receipt never made it into the customer portal.* A different invoice processed in August appeared in the portal that states we owe money. Why did the invoice emailed to us never show up in the customer portal? We need help because we have tried everything we know to do.Initial Complaint

In April 2023, I purchased a vehicle from Hertz car sales on ************************************************************, **************. I completed the paperwork via electronically since I reside in NC. I spoke with *******************. I was issued 30 day tags that were set to expire 05/07/2023. I had not received my tags up to that point and contacted ****. I was told by **** "I'm sorry you haven't received your tags yet, they will be in the mail tonight and you will receive them tomorrow." I was under the impression the hard tags were coming, however, I received another set of paper tags (temporary) that expired 06/07/2023. I was told by the manager *** that by the time the tags expired I would receive hard tags. Well the tags expired again and still no hard tags. This continued through July and I was sent a third set of temporary tags that expired 07/07/2023. I have contacted the dealership MULTIPLE times and sometimes I was able to speak to someone, but received no help. I began emailing the managers and they would not respond. I finally got in contact with a manager ********************************* and she agreed to follow-up and keep me posted. She stated I didn't receive my tags because I hadn't signed an odometer verification letter. So I signed it and overnighted the paperwork to her. I still have no received tags and she is no longer responding to me after I was told it was being processed over a month ago. My city will tow the car and I will be cited and I will have no way of getting the car out. The *** has not received registration information yet and the lienholder ***** Fargo still hasn't received titling information. I am paying $509 a month for a vehicle I can no longer drive. I would like my hard tags and I would like to be reimbursed for the time I paid for the car and was unable to drive which has been almost two months. Thank youCustomer response

Purchased my first used car on December 17, 2022. Vehicle went through inspection and passed. It's now March and I still have not received a title to register my vehicle in ********. I have called Hertz several times to get this situation resolved, to no avail. General Manager sent me 2 temporary tags, but now my vehicle is sitting in my mother's driveway due to the 2nd set of tags becoming expired. The General Manager keeps giving me the run around and stated that he is new to the company. I explained to him that he has assumed the responsibility once he took the position. My vehicle is finance through NFCU and I put down $3000 that covered the title, tags, and other fees. If I don't get the title soon, I will have to pay for another inspection and my APR will go up since NFCU dosen't have the title. Please help!Customer response

I reserved a vehicle online and paid for the reservation in full online and booked the rental for May 17th pickup. I arrive to pickup the vehicle and the unprofessional staff stated they cannot accept my form of payment and I would need to go find another form or call the number they have me to cancel. I immediately called to cancel the rental and was told that this was resolved and I would receive the refund on 7-10 days. That never happened and I've been calling to check and get the same response nearly a month later and the refund has not been processed. I requested supervisor many times and not once was able to speak to a supervisor. I returned to where I rented initially and they could not assist. I attempted to contact corporate and the only number directs me back to the same line I called initially. When I called to check the status of my refund of $****** on May 31, 2022 I spoke to Sobia and she apologized and mailed a coupon for percentage off a future rental for $***** and I received that but never my refund for a rental never completed. Each time I called I will be told that they processed the refund to check my bank in 7-10 business days, or that they kept the money that there would be no refund due to cancelling. The cancellation was no fault of mine as I paid for the rental and go pick it up and they deny me the rental and told me to call cancel which I did. So they were correcting this and refunding me within 7-10 days, also now the supervisor has not looked and signed off on it to release to me. I ask to speak to the supervisor and either I am hung up on after a long hold or they state no one is available. I also called today 6/8/22 and was told the supervisor has not signed off on it and was not available, this, no resolve.
