I recently made a substantial payment to capital one. The payment was cleared from my bank and sent to capital one, they recieve the money and posted it to the account. However they still felt the need to place a 7 day hold on my account. Their reasoning behind this was to ensure they funds were available. Mind you they already received the funds so in short they took my money and then put a hold on the account. Oh and the money that wad paid resulted in them owning me money which was also placed under hold. I called twice to have this hold removed and they refused both times. Unexceptable!

No results. Cao. One Bank global headquarters are in ****** ** nect to our office and I do know the bank from **** when was small local bank. They made a lot of money on student and working people by charging large interest rates and large fees. In my situation is not an issue since we pay total before due date. Shame on you ****** bank calling you Banksters. Founder of ******* from ********

I would give them a zero if possible. They charged me $59.40 in interest on a statement I never received. Talking to ********* and his supervisor they refused to adjust this despite a perfect payment history where in fact I've never been late and usually pay in advance off the balance shown online. While I will keep their Venture Card I will never use it again.

Cap 1 decided to freeze my business card due to suspicious activity, but in their infinite wisdom, they didnt decide that it was something they needed to share with me! As a business owner, I can not fathom how that makes sense. I was told it might be a technical error, so I asked if I would be informed when that is fixed - and of course, they said "no". Apparently, they dont have outbound phones, emails, or any responses when things are fixed.... so I guess I will just keep calling to make sure that my card can still be used? One of the blessings of having monthly recurring payments is that they are out of sight and out of mind, but when I have to re-enter a card number, I might be tempted to use another business card. Way to go Cap 1, I now get to go find another company to spend money with!

One thing I will say is that this year I have spent more time on the phone with Capital One then I have with my own family. The wait times are awful and the predatory nature of the pre-approved cards is ridiculous and maddening. A fraudulent account gave me a check and I was interrogated to the point of tears by a woman who did not even have the power to enact the threat of closing my account. Literally just overhaul the company. I'm switching banks.

I was put on hold forever when I called customer service. I tried reaching out to them on **, and was told "to call". This bank does not have an email contact option on their website, which is very troublesome.

Capital one is a HORRIBLE bank. I filed a dispute against my apartments because I paid them rent and they STILL took me to court to evict me. So once I found out that they were still taking me to court, i filed a dispute. The amount was $****+. They credited the amount back to my account and 3 months later charged it back, saying that the merchants claim was valid. i am the customer of the bank NOT my apartments, I cannot for the life of me understand how they consider that a valid charge. I am a single mother of 3, and this has caused me to go into so much debt. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM! They don't care about their customers!

Capital One keeps wrongfully sending me emails declining automatic payments I authorized years ago, and I already called Capital One multiple times about it, but they keep causing needless grief and trouble for me with their incompetence. THIS time, Capital One sent me an email saying they declined my automatic payment I've been making for years to my internet service company, which is jeopardizing my job, my credit score, and my ability to survive. Capital One has made the same errors multiple times regarding my authorized automatic payment I make to Amazon Prime on a monthly basis. I called Capital One many times, spoke to their overseas foreign reps that were reading from a script, and they said the error wouldn't happen again, but it keeps happening. Now Capital One's latest needless mistakes are affecting my ability to survive and make a living. I noticed there are thousands of other customer's complaints about Capital One all over the internet, and I am sharing my terrible experience with Capital One on social media, and with other interested parties.

Currently trying to acquire a home loan. The credit card is paid off and we have a status letter from 22 days ago stating that there is a zero balance. The home lender let us know we have a past due amount of $**** and it is 31-61 days past due. I have been recording all of my phone calls with Capital One. The amount is a credit due back to me, and was not posted until early June. It is STILL June. So the credit was reported as a delinquent amount and a fudged due date. I requested a status letter and it was promised to be faxed within 48 hours. It has now been more than 72 hours and on the phone again. This time I escalated to a manager and she actually told us that Capital One does not consent to the recording and to turn it off. Unfortunately for Capital One, we live in a one party state. Capital One doesn't have to consent. If this ever does become a class action lawsuit, and I hope it does, I am ready.

I would give them 0 if I could. I called because when I logged into the app for the last couple of weeks it kept saying you have a new card to activate. So I called to say what is this we have not received a new card. They transferred me to the fraud depart of course someone who couldn't understand English. He said someone requested a new card, I said we didn't so he said he would cancel the card that was requested. We have had this account more than 10 plus years. So the next morning I log into the account and the idiot closed our account. This will go on our credit report as a closed account. So today I finally got a supervisor that could understand English. Just because you can speak it doesn't mean you can understand it. I specifically told the fraud department guy not to close the account just cancel the card request and he took it upon himself to close the account. I'm on the verge of a heart attack. Capital one needs to hire people in the United States of America and hire people that can understand English and this kind of thing wouldn't happen. They are in the process of trying to get it reinstated after several hours on the phone with more people that can't speak English and bad supervisors. If this isn't resolve in the next couple of days I will file a BBB Complaint. I work very hard to keep our credit good and monitor our credit and this is totally unacceptable and will go against our credit report by having a closed account. This is all because I called to say it says we have a new card to activate and we didn't receive a new card. My husband is the primary and they treated me like a total criminal.
