Please provide the signed BOL ( bill of lading ) from the transporter stating the damage was there or accrued during the drop off, when you signed the BOL verifying the full condition or any damages occurred during delivery will be on that BOL. The Signed BOL is required. We can forward that to make a claim with the transporter. As for the other statements of bent wheels or "control arm bushings are out" Not sure what you are referring to. The vehicle went through full PPI Inspection along with VA State inspection. This would have been an inspection issue and would not have passed. On 4/3/2023 at 49,811 miles the car was PPI inspected and VA state inspected at ******* *********.Initial Complaint

Wow, where do I start. My wife and i were looking for a used ******* ***. I found Auto By Design in Chantilly VA on line. I contacted them and they sold me a 2002 *** ********* for $39,790.00 delivered. The car had 24K miles on it with 3 previous owners. Sales was very nice and fast financing. I took delivery in Oct. of 2021 Oh and they failed to tell me about the added costs they were adding in on my loan, roughly $1,800 give or take. I drove the car around the block and parked it in my heated garage for the winter. I called my local ******* dealer and made an appointment to have the IMS bearing replaced in the spring with an IMS solutions bearing. This was my choice for peace of mind. OK, its 7 months later, ******* has the car, they advise that the clutch was worn to the rivets and that it overheated the flywheel. The flywheel was blue. I agreed to a new clutch kit no matter what, the car is apart so do it. I was not expecting an extra $1,500 for a fly wheel. What about the 100 point inspection from auto by design?? Worry fee buying ?? Ok I get the car home, my wife and I plan a get away in our new car. I drive 300 miles to VT. I pull into the ******, turn off the car and hit the trunk switch, trunk wont open. Turn the key, car wont start!! I had to have it pushed and I popped the clutch to start it. Ruined weekend, not to mention $750.00 loss on our hotel NO REFUND. Back to *******, Bad Neutral safety switch , Bad trunk latch. $1,400. labor and parts. Ok this is eating at me, I decide to write to Auto By Design and explain what happened with this car. I had only driven it about 400 miles before things started to happen. I sent the email and within a minute get a call from Sean B*****. He asked me why I didn't call, as I started to speak he cut me off and started raising his voice. He would not let me speak as he told me I got ripped off by the ******* garage, and how he could not believe I would contact them on a car that was 20 years old.Business Response

WOW, where do I begin about ******* & ************************* complaint about a there 20 year old ******* purchased ONE Year ago, not sure how im going to say this as simple as possible, the vehicle was sold AS-IS, nor does that even become relevant to what this unfair and unrealistic complaint is about, even if you a bought a extended warranty or a BRAND NEW CAR with full bumper to bumper warranty. NO Company will ever warranty a clutch or fly wheel related to clutch being a natural wear and tear item like; brake pads and tires, which never will be warranted, let alone a 20 year old car sold AS-IS a YEAR AGO??
"100 point inspection", not one dealer in the UNITED STATED OF AMERICA! Will ever remove a transmission to inspect the clutch or flywheel wear as part of there daily routine inspections! Its unheard off! Imagine 100x cars a month being processed for inspection and spending additional 7-8 hours of labor per vehicle, just to remove the transmission because ******* & ***** expect this to happen! That's additional 800+ hours a month! Which means 27 hours a day, 7 days a week! This is just at one dealership what about all the certified million dealers out there? Do they have this UNREALISTIC PROCCEDER in PLACE? Really think about this. I'm compelled to tell you this so you understand what is RIGHT and what is WRONG!
Since the buyer has such trust with his local service facility, he should ask them if they even warrant 2022 Porsche for any clutch wear items. Furthermore this 20 year old vehicle was sold at 24K original miles, you would have to assume that the vehicle has the original clutch, since its a 20 years. ******* never mention once that there was anything wrong with his clutch or flywheel, no complaint about slippage or gear engaging. Nothing of the sort! Until he elected to do IMS service for his car. Which is always " Recommends " to replace the clutch and flywheel when you elect to upgraded IMS bearing service, since its all in nearly in same location during the service procedure. This does NOT mean that the selling dealer who sold you this 20 year old vehicle, 1-Year Ago, AS-IS is responsible for repair or service, nor your additional typical ******* *** items, Bad Neutral safety switch part# *** *** *** ** ($215.00), Bad Hood latch switch part# *** *** *** ** ($115.29) NOT $1400 as YOU STATED! Let alone a wearable clutch that wasn't even slipping or causing any issues in first place.
Infact you can send me you service quote including your elected IMS Service wish list and Auto By Design can provide this same complete service 50% less than you local service provider quoted you. If not interested in that option for us to provide you these service items, Auto By Design is NOT reimbursing for any items that ******* & ************************* are stating or demanding from us from third party facility. AS-IS Implies

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]
Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: This vehicle was sold to me with a bad clutch which resulted in damaging the cars flywheel. Also this used car dealer falsely issued me a *** *** showing 3 previous owners. The truth is I just learned that this car shows 6 previous owners. If I did not live so far away I would file a law suit against this business.
