On September 19, 2023 the Board for Contractors issued a Consent Order regarding Seal-Tite Basement Waterproofing Co for the following violations. 1. Failure of those engaged in residential contracting to comply with the terms of a written contract that contains the minimum; a. When work is to begin and estimated completion. b. A statement the contractor will comply with all local requirements for permits, inspections and zoning. c. Contractor's name, address, license number, class of license and any specialty services. d. With all new contracts after July 1, 2015 a statement of notice of the existence of the VA Contractors Recovery Fund and information on how to contact the Board for claim information.
2. Failure to obtain written change orders, which are signed by both parties. 3. Failure to obtain a building permit or applicable inspection, where required. 4. Any change in the officers of a corporation, managers of a LLC shall be reported to the board in writing within 120 days of the change.
