I had ****come and install some piers on my foundation in the beginning of August. As soon as they started there were issues. They didn't inform me that their plan changed and needed to take down my entire fence, not just the door, which they ended up destroying. On the first day they hit my water main, which after asking me to pay for in exchange for a lower bill from them, they paid for it. After that they damaged the flashing on a window on the South side of my house. They also left and immense amount of backfill soil in my front yard instead of putting all the dirt back. I have been calling them repeatedly to come fix my window and put the dirt back as there is now a large dip where that dirt belongs. They came in February and took a damaged piece off the side of the window and then left, and didn't return until May 17, where they only replaced the bottom piece, leaving the left side still exposed to the elements, and did not take care of the backfill still sitting in my front yard. I've tried calling them between the 17th and today with no answers. It has become exhausting trying to get this company to simply fix something they broke and put the soil back where it came from.

We signed with JES over five (5) months ago back in early December 2021 and were well aware of the 8-10 week backlog. Unfortunately, after reaching out to JES Manassas several times we only heard back once and were essentially told to hold tight they were still working with the city. Ultimately we were forced to make the repairs ourselves since so much time had passed and the salesman (JES inspector) used scare tactics to get us to sign (i.e., showing us a picture of a potential JES client's basement wall that caved in after she failed to sign a contract with JES). As such, timing was of the essence as I envisioned our foundation crumbling, etc. Due to water damage, I had the inside and outside brick and foundation re-pointed, repaired, sealed, etc. which needed to happen anyway. We also received additional consultation on the wall and joist situation which indicated that since the brick was fully repaired inside and out all we needed was to reinforce the kitchen floor joists which is what we did. I am very disappointed with JES in this entire process. We were sold a product through scare tactics and informed about the 8-10 week backlog which is very understandable, however we only heard once from JES this entire time. I called JES Manassas again this past Monday, May 16 at 12:05 pm and spoke with Keisha in accounting who was very professional and customer service oriented. She suggested that I write this same note to JES Manassas along with the cancellation form typically used to cancel within the first three (3) days according to law, however since my case is a bit extreme she suggested I still do this in order for management to understand the issue and prevent it from happening again and potentially provide a full refund of my deposit due to the unique circumstances. Unfortunately once again, crickets from JES Management. I am now starting to wonder if JES Foundation Repair, Manassas, VA is a legitimate business.

On February 20, 2022, I signed a contract for foundation repair services with AFS to be conducted at our rental property at **** N **** *** ********** TN XXXXX. We paid a deposit of ******** towards the contract price of *********** We also paid **** for a their structural engineer's inspection, whose report shows a recommended foundation repair in detail. A crew from AFS arrived April 29, 2022, excavated around the front foundation, and installed helical piers in an attempt to support the foundation from further settling. They did verify the condition of the foundation as specified by the structural engineering plan, did not install a retro-footing as described in both the structural engineering plan and AFS invoice, nor were the piers installed correctly according to the structural engineering plan. The improper installation was confirmed by verbal communication with the structural engineer, James ****** ******* who recommended the piers be reinstalled. Unfortunately, this work was never redone, and the AFS company stopped communicating with us.

Original installation date was 10/16/2020. The price was ********** for encapsulation of the crawl space beneath my house, two sump pumps, and some joist replacement. The issue is that I was given documentation outlining the sump pumps that were installed labeled as 'Elite 365 sump Pump System'. This schematic indicates that "A 120 amp battery backup shall be installed in a water-tight housing. The battery backup shall provide power to the tertiary DC pump." The power went out on 05/16/2022 and no battery kicked in. Team came out today 05/17/2022 and advised that there was actually NO battery backup on both of my sump pumps. This was indicated by the installation order that listed the pumps as 'Elite 365 Single'. The single label was the only notification in my documentation advising that there were no batteries installed. The dehumidifier ******* that they had installed two days prior to the power outage was destroyed by the resulting water but also, conveniently not covered under warrantee due to the pump failure cause by the power outage. The solution provided by the company? They removed the dehumidifier and advised that I could buy another one. They advised that I could pay to upgrade the pumps that I have for another *** (after the 'max *** discount'). This is unacceptable. Their material lied and the resulting damage is mine to bear. I would like FSM to replace the dehumidifier for free, and install battery backups as well without additional cost. If something must be paid for out of my pocket for this mess, I would accept having to pay installation costs only. This would be ideal.

May 10, 2021 I had a consult with Steve from BQ Basement Systems to use ** *** Lock anchors to reinforce a failing retaining wall on my property. Steve assured me that there would be no issues with the job and it would be completed by 7/30/21. They would use an excavator or auger to dig the holes and place the anchors. Instead, a three-man crew with shovels arrived and the project dragged on for months into spring of 2022. Engineering drawings showed how deep the anchors should be, but repeatedly they were placed far too shallow. The project failed inspection because all of the holes were filled back in with no evidence of the anchors' depth. BQ hired a locating company to employ penetrating radar and electromagnetic equipment to locate the Geo Lock anchors and provide depths. This company found that 9 of the anchors were too shallow and need to be addressed. It is now over a year since I paid a ***** deposit for this job, and still no one from this company seems to be in any hurry to remedy the problem.

AFS Huntsville installed piers under my house in Crane Hill. I bought a 10 year maintenance contract that entailed an AFS inspector visiting my premise once a year to assess the piers. AFS calls ahead of time each year. Since this is a second home, I can't always be there. I give them permission to visit my property and perform their inspection without my presence. I ask each year that they send me a copy of the report. After 3 months last year, I called and asked for my report but I never received it. Same situation again this year. I asked that they send me a report after the inspection and reminded them (Bethany) that a report was never sent last year. The inspection was made this January. I called in April asking for the report. Bethany stated that the technician apparently failed to send it. I don't know who is supposed to send it but someone needs to start doing their job. It seems apparent that they care very little about their cusotmers. Or maybe it's just the ones that have already paid. I WANT MY REPORT. This is very important. It's my house that may be sinking.

I hired foundation systems of Michigan to complete a waterproofing job at my home. The salesman Tom **** said it would be a one day job set for October 12, 2021. The work was not finished on day one or on day two in fact it went all the way through December and in the January. I made several calls and spoke with the manager who ended up coming out to see the damage that was done he said he would be back in touch. He never returned my phone calls I later found out that he was let go from the company due to negligence and customer follow up on jobs. I had to do all the follow up work myself calling by the city of Troy asking them for help to have them come back. Because they took so long to come back and the weather went from fall to winter to freezing temperatures-my front lawn was damaged. The pipes were never put in correctly on the front of the house. The workers were not the same crew each time they would come and there was no consistency in the work or communication with the other crews or from foundation systems-which I requested. They damaged my new driveway by spilling cement on the driveway and also in my laundry room. They damage the sink and wall from the is cement. They also damaged furniture and ceiling tiles. I had to hire an electrician come as they cut wires leading to electrical box The only time I heard back from them is when a gentleman named Dale called me asking me to pay my bill. I shared with him everything that was going on and he sent another gentleman out who said he would have things fixed and replaced. They did send a crew out recently to try to fix the lawn and put some grass seed down. I still have to replace the furniture that I had to throw away and still have to replace the ceiling tiles. I would like this reported and I do not want to pay the remaining ***** as it's going to cost me to replace the damage items in my home. The City came out last week as I called them because the work was never finish to get the approval.

Contracted FSM to waterproof, brace & install sump pumps for 3/21/22-3/23/22. 2 FSM employees, Ben ****** and Tom **** told me to warranty the entire basement against water, I would have to waterproof the entire perimeter. This involved a lot of work & expense. I had to remove an entire bathroom, walls, shelves, doors. The foreman arrived and said he wouldn't do an area of almost 6'. I was frantic and called Tom. He LIED & let me to believe the entire basement would still be warranted, not true! I found out it wouldn't be warranted April 4th from Jeff ********* The workers damaged my sanitary stack and didn't tell me. Sewer water everywhere. Their plumber didn't repair it to code. FSM wouldn't pay for the scoping; I paid ***** All inspections failed. WORK STOPPED. Chunks of cement were left in the trench. If they don't even honor the contract to do the work, and what work they have done has failed inspection, I don't trust them to do a quality job & their work to hold up. I am afraid the ENTIRE WALL WILL CAVE IN & they will wiggle out of any responsibility. I do not feel FSM is honorable, has integrity or does quality work. Jeff said they made a mistake. But I need a company to do the work that knows what they are doing, not one where all their employees are making mistakes. I need to get it right the first time. I kept my word. I was ready for them. I have been emailing Jeff ******** and telling him BEFORE they came out on Good Friday that I wanted things in writing to be sure they didn't just cover things up with cement and demand payment. But he would not do that. So they didn't come. I have emailed and called him but he won't accept my calls. Since FSM reneged, I want my deposit back in FULL as their costly mistakes have set me back and put my life on hold. I was experiencing chest pains, insomnia. Numerous other people are also filing complaints with the BBB. I need to get this done! Please call me. I have more!! (add on orders,).

In September 2021 my wife and I went to a Home and Garden show in Orange County Fl. Alpha Foundations had a display there. Our home had an area in the driveway that was low and after it rained there is standing water. They advised that they should be able to lift a portion of the driveway to alleviate the standing water. There were also a few spots of cracked concrete. They came out to the house on or around 9/13/21 to do an evaluation were shown the low area of standing water. That was the main reason we wanted the evaluation. The cracked areas of concrete were minor concerns at that time. They stated should be able to do a lift high enough that although he couldn't state for sure that there would no standing water, it should take care of most of it. They would also take care of the cracked areas, do a lift were there were two 'trip hazards' and stain the entire driveway. Cost was ********** and we gave a ********* deposit with balance ******** On December they came out to do the work. I was at work when I got a call from the crew that stated a part of the concrete was under dirt and they could not lift it any more because the area was starting to crack. They also would not be able to do the stain. Ever since they did the work, the standing water has been worse than before the work. I think they started to lift the slab and work their way down and then towards the end couldn't lift it anymore so it made the area even lower. In January I got a text asking how everything went. I gave them a 3 rating. They text back asking why, I gave the reasons and they asked if they could send another crew out to do another eval. I said yes and even cleared out all dirt covering the driveway. The second crew came out took one look at it (less than a minute) and said there was nothing they could do, 'probably should not have been told that area could be lifted'. Now the standing water is worse than ever, we have new cracks starting to show and the patched areas also have cracks.
