I took my truck in to purchase a alarm system and to have car toys on Eldorado in ******* install the system. They did the install and once I got home and got up that night to drive my truck the alarm system failed locked me in my truck and I had to crawl out of the widow and have my truck towed home and back to car toys to remove their faulty system install. I'm have problems getting in touch with their customer service department to refund my money for the towing of my truck. Thank YouReview from Mike F

Spent $ ******* on a system, had to take it back to the dealership 3 times of stuff that was not put back together properly, took it back to car toys and everytime they did not what to do. Headlight sensor unplugged, screws missing, safety locks not re attached, wire pieces under the floor mats, battery cover broken, radio features not reinstalled. This a BRAND NEW CAR....Review from David C

I am disappointed with this company. My car wont start and my stereo screen is black. I have taken my car to 3 stores. I have taken my car back 4 times. My steering wheel controls which we paid extra for dont work. My passenger door lock is missing. And the list is just go long to get into.Car Toys Inc Response

My husband took my car in to the dealer (******) get the 2 front windows tinted. When he gets it back the dash cam was unplugged, the sunroof was opened, the sport button was on, the seat was reclined as far as it could go (the tv was hitting my granddaughters car seat) and the radio was on a different station on blast. To say I was ****** is an understatement. Car Toys is who the dealer used. I went down to talk to whomever and all they could say was sorry. They did offer a free detail but I would not trust them with my car. My SUV has not even been broken in yet and had less than 500 miles and some punk is out hot rodding in it.Review from Scott T

Awful customer service review. Ive done all my business with car toys, never having any issues until today 12-27-23. I came in to have my car relooked at after having it in the previous day for them to install a usb connection into my lighter outlet. They also checked on the reasoning why my head unit wasnt operating properly. The service tech (who is the same service tech to have previously been the one working on my car) did a walk around inspection having me sign once completed. The inspection consisted of checking the lights, the windows and the door locks. After the ***** was performed I immediately noticed that my steering wheel controls no longer worked nor did my backup camera. When i spoke to the *** he said that the tech had just left for about an hour so i scheduled a drop off for this morning.This morning i go in and the first thing im told is that the tech documented that my backup camera was inop upon yesterdays arrival (absolutely NOT true) therefore they would like at the steering controls but that the camera wasnt working. I explained to the man that the tech wrote that in after the fact. Then the *** proceeded to tell me that they arent the one who installed all of this upon purchase and i said huh?? When you type in my phone number you can see ALL the work performed. I even bought an additional harness just to make sure all my accessories worked upon install. I HAVE NEVER experienced this type of response from this location ever!!! Ive done a serious amount of business with Car toys. In fact I had just had my wifes car brought in for a whole make over, my son in laws car as well right before xmas. Total of **** bucks or so in work. Cant believe that they are denying the fact that the mistakes made are there responsibility!!! Then to be called a liar, and be told by a Manager that they arent even the ones who did the work is A JOKE!!!! He is literally lying to my face!!! Disrespectful! Spent $1,300 on a stereo and speaker + installation. Had to bring up and ask for the "Free" back-up camera the was listed on the add that was included with the stereo I purchased. With spending that much money, they wouldn't even honor the advertised price for installation of the back-up camera (which on their advertisement stated $175, in which I do have a picture of their price tag that I physically took while in their store).They quoted me $250-300 to install a back-up camera. I just spent $1,300, and they can't honor what they're advertising. Also, I paid $90 to keep my steering controls (which worked just fine with the factory hardware). Once the aftermarket stereo was installed, I was informed that my Clock Spring was going out and that's why none of my steering controls work (*correction - they work sporadically and definitely not reliably). I won't be recommending this shop to anyone and actually will be advising consumers to go elsewhere.Review from Dale B

I am so disappointed with car toys. I purchased a blue tooth the day after thanksgiving on line and was told I would get a free back up camera. I called and spoke with a representative and verified I would only have to pay 349 plus pay 250 for installation as installation for Bluetooth was free per the ad. When my wife and I went to the *********** store we were told we would have to pay over **** for installation. I am so disappointed with car toys. I have bee claims adjuster for over 37 years an have referred thousands of customers. I will never refer anyone again.Car Toys Inc Response

We apologize for any confusion with our free installation offer.
The radio that was purchased online had a basic installation of $100 included in the price and a free back up camera/satellite tuner (product only)
Our basic installation does not include parts, extra labor pending vehicle or anything else that is getting added on to the invoice during the installation.
The total of the invoice was $1306.96 that was including all the parts/radio/extra features in vehicle that needed additional parts and labor needed to perform the job. ***************** also purchased a 4yr coverage plan thats included in that price in the amount of $119.
The vehicle was equipped with factory steering wheel controls that needed an extra part and installation, ****************** also wanted to install the backup camera/satellite tuner and a usb flush kit which we charge labor separately per item added.
Due to the confusion and misunderstanding we want to make it right and refund $200 plus tax back to ****************** to make sure he is a happy Cartoys customer
I have also attached the disclaimer that is on our website stating the above that I mentioned, the basic installation included was just for the radio.

Had my Intoxalock device removed late summer. Went to pick my vehicle up and it wouldn't start. The tech checked it out and realized he forgot to plug the ignition back in. You would think they would have tried to start it before releasing it to me?! So the story doesn't end there. Went to use my remote start recently and it didn't work so I had it checked out by another authorized Compustar Remote dealer. Was told whoever removed by Intoxalock device didn't reconnect my remote start. They repaired and I received an $87.00 bill. I confronted Car Toys with an explanation and repair bill. No compensation, no sorry even. I get the 1.15 out of 5 star rating completly.Car Toys Inc Response

I purchased a subwoofer for my 2009 ****** Altima on January 15, 2023. The speaker and **** watt amp cost $899.00 plus tax. Installation charge was $1186.91 plus tax.On January 27, 2023 I went back to upgrade the Bose System with a Kenwood DMX709S. The cost of *********** unit cost $449.99 plus tax. Installation was $734.20 plus tax.I upgraded my system specifically to have the capability to watch HDMI shows and movies while the car is in "park" and parking brake on. Car Toys installed a third party HDMI adapter, twice, that is not compatible. I was told that a Kenwood adapter has been ordered, but is on back order. It is now August 30, 2023, I have been waiting 8 months with no results.Car Toys Inc Response
