They sold my elderly father a used car for ****** and then they told him he was getting a law enforcement discount. He is a former police officer....they then took him back to sign papers and didn't disclose the ***** DOLLARS that was added on. Paying 1***** DOLLARS for a used car. They lied and took advantage of my elderly father. IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE THAT HAVE SERVED YOUR COMMUNITY?! IM DISGUSTED. I've debated getting a lawyer and sueing them. That's a lot of money to add to someone's bill unknowingly. They take people back to sign the papers and chat with them so they are distracted from seeing the THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS they are adding on. This is what they do to people and its FAR from OK....Review from Trina F

I went into Lakewood Ford and bought a Bronco at the beginning of this year. I traded in my 2015 Dodge Charger. As soon as I mentioned I was trading my Dodge Charger, they took my keys to take it back and do an "appraisal" of the car. They gave me a good deal. I signed all the paperwork and went on my way. Now, 5 months later and after I've made 4 payments on my new loan, the finance manager called me asking me to come in and sign a document saying that the mileage on the Dodge was incorrectly noted as 67K miles and that it should by 60K miles instead. I looked at my paperwork and sure enough it was noted as ***** miles, which I believe to be correct. Could they be turning back the odometer and putting the responsibility on me so I would get sued if it was found out???? I'm not signing any such paperwork. Other buyers beware!

Hi *****, I understand your frustration with the paperwork being incorrect, and also understand your assumption that maybe we turned back the odometer. However, this has never been done at Lakewood Ford and will NEVER be done as long as I am responsible for it. Occasionally, with the thousands of transactions that we process yearly, mileage or numbers are recorded inaccurately. This is the case here, an honest mistake and not a nefarious scheme to alter your trade-in. Well, I believe the mileage noted on my sales receipt is correct. Im not going to sign anything that states otherwise. I will have to stand by my gut feeling that this felt shady and still does. Mistake or no, Im of the opinion that changing the odometer reading in any way could put me in ***** way. Thank you for your response.
