    I recently used Bekins Northwest Moving for a move from ********** to *******, and the experience was very disappointing. Initially, they were helpful and promised updates, but I constantly had to ask for information. When the movers arrived, they mishandled several items, causing damage to my doorways, which I had to repair before selling my home. They wrapped and unwrapped my couch several times, leaving the cushions scattered despite my reminders.After my items were loaded, I had to keep asking about delivery windows and times. When my belongings arrived, the exhausted movers said they had been working for 72 hours straight. I asked about the couch cushions during unloading, and they assured me everything was there. However, after they left, I discovered several items, including the cushions, were missing. I filed a claim against the move insurance.The delivery movers called my cell phone, questioning why I filed a claim for missing items, which I found inappropriate. After a month, Bekins Northwest Moving/United *** Lines informed me they couldn't reimburse me because the delivery was completed and accepted. Even after a re-review, they denied my claim, stating nothing could be done since the delivery was accepted.Bekins Northwest is owned by United *** Lines, so read their reviews to know what to expect (I wish I had). If you still choose to hire Bekins, I recommend:Documenting your item pickup/delivery process from beginning to end.Before accepting delivery, open each item/box to ensure it is undamaged.Having moved cross-country several times, this company is the worst I've ever encountered, with no accountability for their actions.

    Unfortunately there is no opportunity to leave less than 1 star for Bekins Northwest. They showed up for an estimate in mid May - promised pickup and delivery at the beginning of June. They then proceeded to push our move week by week until finally they agreed for the first week in July. We called them a couple of days prior to the moving date. The Bekins Northwest office had never even heard of us and we were not even in the system. They then promised pickup on a week later and finally picked up our furniture. They never sent us our contract. They delivered mid July and showed up with no labor. A young driver with one arm and an older man showed up to deliver my 83 year old mothers's extremely heavy furniture. She lives alone. We had to hire all of the labor to deliver the furniture out of pocket that morning. They then proceeded to charge us thousands of dollars over the initial agreed amount with reductions for delivery over a month late and not providing labor for the move. I have everything carefully documented. Never have I seen such unprofessionalism in a company in my life.

    When issues arise, we act immediately to resolve them quickly and effectively. As we have discussed, an internal error resulted in your shipment being delayed. When we became aware of the issue, we responded immediately to schedule your shipment on the next available driver. We discussed the expected delivery window, and delivered early in that delivery spread. 

    You have noted on several of the reviews you have posted about your experience that the driver showed up with no help.  Our driver is a fully qualified professional that showed up with the help necessary to perform the delivery. We verified with our interstate carrier, ************************, who confirmed the driver had labor there.

    Your misleading accusation that we collected thousands of dollars more than the contracted amount is untrue. The binding estimate of $8447.23 was collected by the our interstate carrier consistent with the contract that was signed . This was a binding estimate with the cost documented fully in several documents you received including the Bill of Lading. We are happy to provide that documentation to you again should you need it.  There was no attempt to collect any other funds. 

    We have made several attempts to contact you. You have not responded to our messages. At this point, we feel we have responded professionally and in full.

    Im very disappointed in Bekinsthey gave me all kinds of promises and didnt follow through. I guess if they deliver half of your furniture thats enough..they **. just deliver the other half whenever they feel like it because, hey you got some of it, I guess thats enough. They cant tell me when Ill get the rest, could be 2 months.Im supposed to be happy they delivered what they did. Apparently a contract means nothing g to them
