NJ ROOFING LLC promised us that he would take care of us throughout this process as it was a big financial purchase. He also portrayed, and stated that his company had the best customer service, and that going with him was the right choice. Workmanship warranty was also promised, but when we contacted NJ ROOFING LLC about the issues, they didn't want to do any warranty work, and told us it would cost us an additional $600+ for them to come back out and to look at what was causing the issue after they completed the roof.Paid this company ~$40,000 for a roof job on our house. The day the roof job was completed, we noticed lumps in different areas of the roof, where the shingles would bulge out. NJ ROOFING LLC said that the lumps were normal, and would eventually flatten out with the summer heat. We contacted NJ ROOFING LLC about the bumps after the summer season was over, and they told us that they were completely normal. We contacted NJ ROOFING LLC many times over the course of a year about the shingle bumps, as well as the start of mold all over the *****. They wanted to charge us $600+ to tear their own work apart that was under workmanship, and product warranty. As we started to notice mold forming on the roof *****, we called NJ ROOFING LLC back again, and again. As NJ ROOFING LLC started to ignore all communication efforts we decided to call multiple roofing companies to come take a look, and each company stated that, "The roof was laid down incorrectly", "Underlayment was laid incorrectly", "Ice barrier was laid incorrectly", "NJ ROOFING LLC used wet wood".Everything is supposed to be covered by the workmanship warranty, as well as the product warranty, yet NJ ROOFING LLC is not willing to do the work without another payment.

Hello, I am ***********************. Owner of ** Roo?ng LLC in Pierce County **********. Back in
January of last year 2023. We performed a complete reroof remodel on the home at ****************************. In ******** **. We had sat down and signed a contract that states. Complete removal
of exis?ng roo?**, replace any sheets of plywood the owner did not want. ****** was on site
and watching us and picked each sheet of plywood he wanted removed and replaced. We did
the demo of the homes roof when we had 3 adequate dry days with no chance of rain. The
plywood we had purchased was from Lowes home improvement in lakewood o? of 100th St.
Which is a 5 minute drive from the home. Which it is impossible for the plywood to be wet
when installed. Also that ****** being on site watching every move we did, would not allow
wet plywood to be installed. Nor as a contractor would install wet plywood. We then installed
an ice and water shield underlayment on all perimeter edges a?er all wood work was complete.
Also we applied a synthe?c underlayment on top of the plywood decking. The home owner had
decided to go with our upgraded asphalt shingle of ***** Corning dura?on. We then installed
the ***** Corning to speci?ca?ons. We replaced all plumbing jacks, new 4 inch ?apper vents
for bathrooms that we made sure was connected to all bathroom fans. We installed perimeter
metals and upgraded there ven?la?on to a con?nuous ridge vent. Also cu?ng in bigger bird
blocks under the eves to allow be?er air ?ow. I knew to take extra care of the home owner
****** due to them being very par?cular as the homeowner watched every step we took. The
home owner did pay in full as he was happy with the ?nal roof results upon comple?on. The
home owner laughed and we had a good ?me joking and talking about life. They where very
nice people that fed us lunch. I *********************** grew up with they're son *****. I took extra care of
them. I went back to the home for the concerns that they had brought up. Tried to get the
roo?ng nailed down be?er. Reset the skylights. There is nothing further I can due for them since
it was all in the proposal that I gave them. I as a contractor in business for the last 8 years on my
own and been around roo?ng since I was a kid since my family has been in business. I feel that
there are some mental health issues that are causing problems with the roof. The things that
are being brought up are things that are *****?c and is a concern of OCD. I am not going to sit
here and bash these people, I am a good contractor and I have no history in business of any
*****?ons. I have always done honest work and did a good job. Doing what I promise people. I
do appreciate your ?me reading my side of the story. The roof was around $24,000 with all the
upgrades and wood work. We performed what we promised and went back as a courtesy trying
for these people. I feel that I hope and have to protect myself ?nancially from this situa?on.
They are asking for $55,000 in compensa?on. Also have destroyed my business through mul?ple
online services through reviews. Its been hard and I feel that I have walked into a bees nest and
no ma?er what contractor would have worked on the home, would have dealt with this. Thank
you for your guys ?me. I am hoping that this gets behind us. If you have any other ques?ons or
comments you can contact me directly.
