Pursuant to a clean up property order from ************* dtd 10/23/24, I hired Classic Grounds Care to remove junk vehicles, RVs, campers, trailers and a mobile home. I hired Mr. **** ***** on 10/30/24 with a deposit of $20,000.00 to clean up. ** had set a completion date requirement of 11/22/24. Mr ***** requested and received an extension until 1/1/25. However since no work was being done I terminated Mr ***** on 11/24/24. He stated he would return my deposit and as of this date has not done so and I have been unable to contact him. I have requested and received a new completion of work date of 1/31/25 from KC and am disposing things myself.

    Business response

    02/04/2025

After 3 visits, I presented a proposal for removing a burned RV and a very deteriorated mobile home. $14,700.00 was the bid agreed on. i also informed them the final price would be determined by the final weight at disposal station, as there was a lot of junk in both. I received a deposit of $8,000.00. Balance due on completion,$6700.00 +/-. On October 21st I received a call stating they had gotten a non-compliance letter from Kitsap County DCD. On October 30th we met again to discuss a plan to prevent enforcement action by ***. Before this meeting I made 4 site visits with vendors to figure out a quote for bringing their property in compliance with *** Regulations. On this visit I informed the ***** that the job would exceed $60,000.00 plus tax, and it could exceed that due to everything full of unknown junk and it's weight. They wanted me to see what I could do for$30,000.00. I informed them that would not come close to getting  it done. When it came to write up the agreement they then changed the amount to $20,000.00. Again I told them that would not come close to curing the problem and the $28,000.00 would get used up getting the logistics done. Moving large containers and crusher from ******/*******. Also if everything was arranged it would be paid for before hauling to our shop. Also if the project came to a halt they would have spent a lot of money for nothing. i reiterated this numerous times.I arranged everything and told them as soon as I received a start date I would let them know. In the mean time we met numerous times in an attempt to mark items to dispose of. Every time Mrs. ***** became angry and argued, that it was her property and the county could not tell her what to do. Stating it was valuable and the county and I were in partnership and were going to sell the items for a lot of money. After numerous visits  attempting to reach a consensus, finally a few items were marked as agreeable to dispose of. They again were told if there was not a complete agreement made , containers and crusher would be hauled back across the water and the problem would still be an issue with the county. This would also result in a large increase in cost, due to hauling back and forth. During this time ********* told me of a major issue with her well that supplied several houses on the property, asking if I knew someone that could get her well compliant. I had her call a well person we have used many times. He made an assessment and gave her an idea what it would cost but would not know final until he could get into it. She agreed. He told her all the junk, brush, trees, and low overhanging branches would not allow him to do his job. I was asked if we could do that and I confirmed we could. I told her it would cost about $15000.00 depending what was discovered in the large mess. She agreed and we got it done. We also had to remove the pump house roof so well could be ************** cost $16,879.86. Cost to haul in crusher and containers was $8,000.00. A final amount of $2120.14 does not come close to covering the many visits and time invested in coordinating this project. When I met with the ***** and they said we aren't going to do anything, the county can't tell us what to do on our property. I left and reported to *** that we would no longer be involved in the project. I also informed them that we had nothing to do with the items that were relocated and hidden in their attempt to do what they wanted to do on their property. I have spoken to our attorney and will decide how we will proceed in this matter. We have done everything in our power to provide a resolution to this problem. *** and Mrs. ***** has been very vocal in trying to slander us by telling lies about how this happened. The latest was today stating complete lies on social media in an attempt to cause us harm personal and business. This will also be dealt with through our attorney. We are just a local small business since 1989 offering a fair service for a fair price. Finally this is not the first Hoarding Situation we have taken care of and it is not the worst.
