On March 15,2023 my husband ********************* paid them $1,555 to start seeing them for hip issues. He had also been seen by urgent care and Olympia Orthopedic. In the middle of May he needed to stop seeing them as he went from a cane to crutches, to a wheelchair and unable to walk up or down stairs with difficulty. He had an MRI of his spine in May and on June 6 had a spinal injection for a small bulging disc as the spinal doctor thought that *** be causing his issues. On June 8th on advice from spinal doctor I took him into ER for a CAT scan of his hip. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 bone and lung cancer. He stayed in the hospital and when released came home. July 1st he was started on hospice care and August 3rd he passed peacefully in his sleep. All this time I had kept Rochester Chiropractic updated on his condition. When admitted I called and requested a statement of his account and the assured me, they would get it to me. After nothing came, I called again. Still nothing from them! on August 28th at 8:15 am I called again and was assured they would have something to me this week. Still nothing from them. I would like to know if he has funds coming back to him due to him only being seems for less than 2 months; however, they seem to be refusing to send me any information.

      Business Response

      Date: 10/04/2023

We received a voicemail from the BBB on 9/28/2023 that a former patient's spouse had filed a complaint because they had not received statements that they had requested. Apparently the complaint was filed earlier in September and e-mails were sent to an invalid e-mail address for our business, so we were unaware of the situation and were unable to respond until now. We spoke with the patient's spouse on 2 different occasions after our patient passed away. Each of the times that our patient's spouse requested a copy of the statement, we mailed it out to the address that we had on file for the patient. We never received anything back in the mail to indicate that the statements were not delivered, so we could only assume that they had been received. Upon receipt of this complaint, we have mailed out another copy and have also reached out to the patient's spouse via the e-mail address that was provided to the BBB (which we did not have on file as a form of contact previously). We have advised the patient's spouse to contact us directly regarding settling the account to receive any refund due to them.

Please let us know at your earliest convenience if there is anything further that we need to do in order to show that we have made our best attempt to resolve this situation.

      Thank you,
