It was nighttime!!!! I use this up and find the sitter for my dogs. The sitter wasnt good. One of my dog run away because the sitter left them on back yard unattended for hours. We were looking for dog 6 hours. It was so so stressful for all our family. It worst what can happen with dog when you trust people when you leave your pet with someone. I did a complain and after weeks of emails back and forth they closed my account and do nothing to the sitter!!!! Its scam and they didnt care about customer and their feelings. They are just making a lot of money and no responsibility at all. The worst experience ever. Be aware and carful with them!!!!

I'm a pet parent. When I made a reservation there was no offer or instructions about getting a private Rover phone number so I could communicate with the pet sitter. She and I began communication once the booking was confirmed. She and I started texting. I gave her my address and phone number. I immediately received a message from ********* that they had deleted the phone number for my safety. There was no disclosure that all communications via texts with the pet sitter would somehow be accessed and monitored on my personal phone's imessage app. by Rover.com This is a serious breach of privacy since I was not informed of this or asked to indicate that I would give my permission to do so.I have no idea what the technology is, and what steps are taken to guarantee all monitoring ceases when the pet sitter's reservation ends, and what is done to guarantee my personal information is protected.Had I known of this clear overstep I would never have used them.

Be very careful when you book with Rover.com. If things are going good they're good but if and when a problem or an issue arise with the sitter which was our experience , especially of a safety and trust issue rest assure Rover.com will NOT help you and leave you to resolve the issue yourself. **************** is POOR - agents and what they call "leadership team" alike- they DO NOT help you. We have been using Rover.com for at least 5 years and we have found an excellent sitter through them and had no issues, having said that we are good customers. As soon as you book, your credit card is already charged which was another issue since the service has not happened yet. Then the problem with the sitter comes up (we did not feel safe to leave our dog with her at the last minute because she was adamant about showing the 'inside' of her house ) and Rover.com just leaves you hanging. Their refund issue is a joke because they just wash their hands and tell you to contact the sitter. Back and forth communication with them will leave you exhausted. Very disappointed and frustrated with this company. I want to also add that some of the sitters they have on file are questionable. So BE VERY CAREFUL.

****** their contracted employees like garbage. A client filed a formal complaint with me because her dog had health issues which she did not provide me the proper tools for. Despite a lot of communication on my end, the client never communicated with me personally, until the booking was over. I was contacted by Rover support and scolded for the quality of my service, meanwhile given no solution to the problem at hand. The review I left for the client was also blocked because she neglects her animals, so other sitters will now have to deal with her behavior.

I hired ****** S from *********** ******** to watch my dog, and the experience was extremely disappointing. Not only did she fail to show up as promised, but she also took $100 upfront and never provided the agreed-upon service. I tried reaching out to resolve the issue, but she did not respond. This behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. I would not recommend her services to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.

My review today is based on the company's customer service, NOT the wonderful sitters and walkers I have encountered. I have been a HARD WORKING, dog loving, positive reinforcement trained, 5 star sitter for almost 5 years with Rover (with 15 years of animal rescue under my belt). I have had nothing but stellar reviews! Clients have even told me in private that I have gone above and beyond compared to most sitters. Unfortunately the formula that either I.T. or Management has put together to TRACK their "Star Sitter" program is INCORRECT and someone needs to fix this! For some strange reason I lost "Star Sitter" status because Rover "claims" I never responded to two client messages. So I go to those 2 dates named and threads. I DID INDEED respond because it says "Request was declined by" me hence was my response. The client even knew I was not free because we were chatting on a DIFFERENT thread on the Rover app. Client can even vouch for me for this! Funny thing too - those messages are no longer in my app as if Rover deleted them! So the formula their I.T. ***** designed to track a hard working sitters status is FALSE AND WRONG. My advice to Rover is this - if you don't treat your independent contractors fairly, they will go elsewhere, and customers have stated to GOOD sitters that they trust them so much they'll follow them wherever they go. And my advice to customers is this - if you see a ****** with 5 stars but NOT in the "Star Sitter" status, fret not because they probably ARE a perfect sitter. Unfortunately the tracking program in Rover's app is completely FALSE! So annoying!!

We used Rover.com specifically because of its advertised guarantee for coverage in case of damage caused by a sitter. Unfortunately, our experience with their support team was highly disappointing. After our property was damaged unintentionally by a sitter, we incurred $450 in emergency fees for plumbing and **** services, along with an additional $1,350 in repair costs. We submitted detailed work orders from both professionals to document the issues. Despite this evidence, our claim was denied without a clear explanation. When we followed up with ****** from Rover Support, she attributed the denial to a "faulty valve," something neither professional reported. She suggested we appeal by replying to the denial email with additional documentation from the plumber, which we did.We sought clarification on the appeal process, as the instructions seemed vague and overly simplistic. Nearly a week later, ****** replied with new requirements: the plumber would need to submit a work order directly to the Rover Support site explaining why the case should be reopened. This shifting of requirements was confusing and unnecessarily burdensome. We chose Rover because of the promises in their guarantee, but the company provided no meaningful support. Instead of guiding us through the process, they created more barriers, seemingly to avoid honoring their policy. While their service claims to "be there every step of the way," we felt abandoned and dismissed. The lack of accountability, transparency, and consistency in their claims process has been extremely frustrating. This ordeal has cost us $1,800 and countless hours of our time. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend Rover.com to others and would advise potential users to approach their guarantees with skepticism.

This is a HORRIBLE business, the support people most do not speak well English, they definitely do not address any issues and there is no supervisor for over 2 business day. They offered services that I paid and the sitter has declined the service and Rover did not refund me 100%, I called several times and no responsibility when services were not rendered. They claim that I did not cancel, but the sitter declined my services by text. They should have refunded me as no one came to help with my pet who is disable NOT ANY STARS, I need my money back in full

Rover is a sham. Where do I begin. I have been sitting through rover since 2019. I had a 5 star rating and was part of their star program. On 10/11 I was made aware that a dog owner put in a report against me saying that a dog left sick. Rover asked for my statement and I told them that the dog was fine when they left my home, they werent ill and I had video proof. On 10/14 I found out that they deactivated my account without the burden of proof the dog got ill in my care. I tried to appeal it and they told me it a wasnt allowed. The symptoms the owner was describing were those of parvo. I asked rover if they require owners to prove shot records and they told me no they dont but as a sitter thats something I could require. They basically told me it didnt matter that the illness may have been a result of the owner not vaccinating that they were still staying with my deactivation. Fine whatever Ill start my own. They canceled all my upcoming bookings leaving my current booking active. Fast forward to 10/20. The booking they left open was due to end that night at 8. They canceled it and locked me out of my account. All while the dog is still in my home and care and I have no way to contact the owner should I need to or vise Versa. Now Ive been booking through rover long enough to know when a booking is canceled through rover Im no longer paid. Rover is stating theyre still paying me but I have no faith in that. Ive been in contact with the ******************* and the ***********************. If someone doesnt pay me the $380 dollars Im owed for the two weeks this dogs been with me someones being sued.
