I requested a service on Mar 27, 2025 to serve small claim court to the defendant. On my request I clearly stated defendant name, email, phone, work company, and the fact the address is not where the defendant actively lived at. The server made only one attempt on April 2 without any effort trying to contact the defendant ahead of time, and without a doubt he didn't find anyone to serve the document. Then there is no follow-up attempts and he concluded it's impossible to serve and stop the efforts even there are still a week before the court deadline and he just closed the case. Despite their website stating 2-3 attempts per week, only one attempt was made and the case is closed.A proof of non-service was made to me briefly then got deleted on their website portal a few hours later. Now I'm left with nothing but paid $75 for nothing at all. And I lost valuable time in court process.I didn't receive any useful service at all from this company. The company clearly failed to provide the service i paid for. I request a full refund.Customer Answer

Submitted two separate sets of docs to be served on a married couple that my client evicted. Was charged for both parties. Gave two addresses when submitting on 03/06/25 because the website said 4-6 attempts. They attempted to serve one address and then said that I could pay for an "investigation" to find the clients or serve another address, I paid for an investigation for both parties that took over two weeks even though I paid rush service. At this point I've paid $480 dollars. The investigation came back and they gave me the address that was IN THE PAPERS I AM HAVING THEM SERVE, which means they should've known that they weren't at this address. The order was on hold for me to approve or decline. I never approved or declined. I wrote them and asked could they just serve the other address that I initially gave them on 3/6 and explained my issue and asked how we could resolve the poor service. She said no I would have to pay again for both parties of the married couple and then she marked that she attempted to serve both tenants at the evicted address when she DID not.Initial Complaint

I received an email on 3/7/2025 from ABC Legal regarding a process service at my address. In addition to me receiving the email my ex wife also received this email. the email included all of the documents surrounding the lawsuit, and my ex wife was able to see the documents as well. this is a clear violation of my privacy as wall as the ***** regarding notification of 3rd parties. According to the ***** if a 3rd party is advised of the reasons surrounding communications they may be subject to a fine of $1000.00. Additionally ABC Legal claims that they were my address on 3/7/2026 at 11:30 however a review of my nest cam shows that they were not.Initial Complaint

ABC Legal was hired to serve Canadian (Ontario) Family Law Documents on an individual residing in the ***. The process server did, in fact serve the individual in a timely fashion; however, he provided proof of service with errors contained in it such as the Respondent/Defendant's name and the name and location of the Court that the matter originates from. I have been attempting for 2 months to get the process server to have the property Affidavit of Service signed before a Notary. At first, the process server corrected the Respondent/Defendant's name, but not the name and location of the Court. Then, after I provided Ontario's acceptable format for an Affidavit of Service, the process server returned the same signed, but not before a commissioner/notary. I have been assured on numerous occasions that this will be fixed, however, I still have no acceptable Affidavit of Service for the Court. ABC Legal was pre-paid for this service in December 2024. If they do not straighten this out, I will have to hire another process server to re-serve the Respondent in order to obtain proper proof of service for the Court.Customer Answer

I hired ABC Legal to serve my ex-husband in a child support case. I provided them a full description of my ex-husband including the information that he is usually only available on Friday mornings. ABC Legal took on the job to serve him and charged me $75. The they proceeded to try and serve him only during hours he was working. I contacted customer service and was told if I wanted to request a specific date/time, I had to pay more money. This was NOT told to me when I booked them originally and after seeing my description of "he is only available Friday mornings" they had zero issue accepted to do the job without telling me they wouldn't actually be able to. I reached out to customer service numerous times only to be told their servers have set hours and there is no way to communicate with them about the dates and times the respondent will be home, which makes zero sense. How can you now communicate with your employees? The court date was Friday 2/7 and they are still attempting to serve him which is clearly ridiculous. Also, I'd like to point out their server TAPED the court documents to my ex's door with vital information about my children such as social security numbers, but continues to try to serve him. I requested a service from this company, for them to serve someone for a court day I had. In their website it says they try multiple times a week to serve the document papers. This company is a scam and I found out after 3 days and 2 attempts. They attempted twice in 3 days and first said they knocked on the door and no one answers and then they went back and retracted what they said and changed it to someone answered but they said they were not the person they were looking for and that they don't have no knowledge of that person. They then said they spoke to a neighbor and they said they knew no one with that name to be a resident. They than notified me that they tried serving the papers and that the address I gave them is incorrect because a neighbor said so. They then asked if I had a picture of the person being served or a picture of a vehicle they have. At the beginning of the whole process I sent them a picture of the person being served. They did no diligent work and did the minimal to do their job. They then said I would have to add a new address to continue and pay again to continue service. They did no follow their own process of trying multiple times and asking for things that I provided at the beginning of this request to verify anything. After this happen I looked up this business on ****** and found a lot of bad reviews of people complaining about some of the same experiences they had with this company. I asked for a refund and they said they did diligent work and tried to serve the person. They did not do diligent work and are scamming people out there money.Initial Complaint

**Please Note**I substituted the defendants name as **** ***. In addition, I didn't want to reveal his home address so I used ******************I demand a full refund of $85 for the poor service I received from *** Legal.The Process Server tried to deliver a citation to an address in *****************, *****, four times between November 26 and December 6, 2024. Here are the messages from the *** Legal portal:* - First attempt: Impassable road.* - Second attempt: No answer. Neighbor doesnt recognize the name.* - Third attempt: Impassable road.* - Fourth attempt: No answer. Neighbor doesnt recognize the name.On December 6, 2024, I asked customer service for a new Process Server. *** Legal replied, We can definitely get this assigned to another process server if you wish.The next day, the same *** Legal *** said they tried to reassign the job but the primary server was the one in the area. They reached out to him for clarification.On December 7, 2024, a new message on the *** Legal portal said the current address was [**********************], which is bad.The Process Server attached three photos: a black one, a blue one, and a picture of a house with a maroon pickup truck similar to the landlords truck.The first two photos were blank, but the last one was helpful.On December 8, 2024, I canceled the order and received a signed proof of non-service.On December 13, 2024, I paid The Montgomery County Constables office to have the citation delivered to the same address as *** Legal. A Montgomery County Constable served the citation on their firs attempt.I found negative reviews online that shared common experiences.Customer Answer

They contacted me sister and gave her information regarding a lawsuit from ********************. I've never heard of that company. I have never been associated with this email account my sister uses, who lives in a different city. They must if found she was related to me and saw her email address online and sent it. It was against the ***** rules and is illegal and has caused me a lot of hardship. (********). Unfortunately, they made critical errors during the process, including:1. Incorrectly naming the plaintiff and defendant as the same party in the documents.2.
