Our story began on March 2, 2020 when I signed us up for a tour in the ******** San Juans with Alki Tours. I paid our deposit for my husband and myself. The tour was to take place in Sept. of 2020 and our deposit was $300. When we realized that the pandemic was not going away, I called them to ask for us to get our deposit back and they told us that they would give us a credit for a future trip. Then the border closed in to ****** and we were in a complete shutdown here in Washington. I tried to call them to see if they would write a letter for us to send to the insurance, since the insurance that we had purchased would not give us a refund since we had not had 100% of our trip refunded. They were never reachable and finally I gave up. I have tried every means to get ahold of them since this time and finally realized that they were never planning on getting back to me. I have begun the process to get my insurance money back and now I see that **** no longer has a website. I had sympathy for the problems that the pandemic caused but it appears that they have no plan to make good for the money they kept from their clients.Initial Complaint

My friend, *********************************, and I each paid $500 as a deposit on a train trip across ******. It was cancelled due to Covid. We were told it would be re-scheduled and our deposit was not refunded because of this.There has been no word from them and in the meantime, my friend has passed away. I would like my refund and a refund to ****** estate.Initial Complaint

These are 3 credits I was issued by Alki Tours.Service never rec'd (3 day tours). Also, cover letter sent with 3 credits. I have repeatedly tried to contact **** by ************* No ************* appears they are permanently closed now. The two $139 credits are for Mt. Rainier trip on 6/28/20 & Houseboats 9/12/20. $129.00 credit is for Crystal *** trip on 7/21/20. Total refund due me is $407.00.Initial Complaint

I have written letters to the company. They do not respond. The don't answer their phone & you cannot leave a message. Their website looks like they are still in business, so I don't know why they can't get back to me.
This is very frustrating. I cannot afford to lose this money. If you could help me, I would appreciate it.

I made a reservation for a trip through Alki Tours of ******* and gave them a $500.00 deposit. I cancelled the trip due to Covid. The trip was booked on 1/27/2020 and I have been trying to get a refund since then. I have tried numerous times over the years to reach them and have not received any reply.**** has not had any trips. They do not answer phone calls, texts, emails or letters.I would like a refund of my $500.00.Customer response

Sent a registered/certified letter to Alki Tours on 6/29/2022.
Many emails and telephone calls between 6/26/2020 and 6/29/2022. The most recent on 6/21/22 and 5/11/2022.
Received no response from Alki Tours.

My mother paid a deposit of over $3000.00 for a tour of Ireland that was supposed to happen in September 2021 but Alki Tours shut down due to Covid. The website has continually said call back in April for 2022 for rebooking and still continues to state NEW DATE COMING SOON but now the phone number is no longer valid and it shows as permanently closed when you ****** Alki Tours. How are they planning on refunding our money?
