Booked car rental in ***** through Expedia. Purchased the *** from Expedia. Upon arriving in *****, Goldcar (Fox) charged me an additional $291.67 for their "mandatory" ***. I tried to show them my Expedia *** and she wouldn't even look at it. I had to pay or lose my $995.59 car rental fee and not get my car. I explained it to Expedia, and they don't care. They said "they have extra fees" I told them they should cease selling *** when people book car rentals in *****, knowing that the rental car companies will charge it again. It is a scam in my opinion. I have rented cars all over the world and never had this. I feel cheated. For the sake of anyone who has been scammed or about to be scammed, I will pursue this legally if I have to. It's not right and consumer gouging. Reading down below looks like other people have been scammed by Expedia on insurance. I smell a class action lawsuit.

I booked a hotel through Expedia Canada. My travel plans changed and I had to cancel my booking. I was having an issue with my **** Debit card - it was stolen and my bank told me that any refunds could not be processed through the original card. I needed to give them the new card number. The very first representative I spoke to said 'I will cancel the reservation so it won't be charged and then send you along to the support team.' Dealing with the support team was unbelievable. I kept calling back every week or two and they would say, 'someone will call you back within three business days.' This happened for two months after which someone said, 'sorry, so sad, the hotel won't refund your card because you were a no show. You should have read the fine print' or something equally of an equally dishonourable nature. Book your travel yourself - I'll never be using this company again. The worst customer service experience of my life.

I was basically left stranded by Expedia half way across the world.. 2 tickets were purchased 6 months prior to my trip in August 2022. .Itinerary#****260 The flights were between ******* and Zanzibar.. In early June i received an email from Expedia stating they have rebooked my flights and i should accepts the new options provided. These new proposed flight options would not be conducive as it would have cause me to miss my 2 other connecting flights to return home. I then contacted Expedia customer service and on June 15, my flights were updated via email with confirmation codes to reflect the original booking I therefore left Canada with the assurance everything was ok and I'm in good hands Within ** hours of my expected departure from Zanzibar, on the 15th of Aug, I discovered Expedia had cancelled my flight and and added a booking which even had a connection missing. I was in a rural area with limited access to WIFI and miles away from the nearest town. stressed all the way out on the last few days of vacation because of the uncertainty of getting home.. I was unable to contact EXPEDIA by phone so used the virtual option which was a nightmare . i was in contact with over 4 persons between 9 am and 3 pm with out any resolution and accountability . All i was told is that they are looking into the matter and i need to be patient . The representatives used every opportunity to lie . 1st -my direct flight details not available , 2nd - The airline cancelled. I decided to help myself and was assisted by a local with phone service to call the Airline. directly. who explained to me that seats were still available on the original flight and that EXPEDIA cancelled my tickets on the 18th of July . No matter how i pleaded for EXPEDIA rep to contact the airline they just made up ridiculous excuses ( i have screenshots to prove). A supervisor from the airline realized i was stressed and reissued the tickets. .EXPEDIA did nothing to help- but directed me to the

I don't know what more terrible things to say about this experience. They upcharged us 400$ after trying to use our credit to pay the flight, even though we found the same flight for cheaper, and when I confronted her on the phone she couldn't process anything. Then they inputted the wrong time into my flight, when I told them they made a mistake they charged me an extra 100$ to change to flight to the proper date. THEN they charged me an extra 50$ on top cause they upgraded my setting without my permission, even though there was still seating available in my section. Asked to speak to a manager for this clown show multiple times. They kept saying there was none available. NEVER AGAIN

We booked a hotel on Expedia, checked in, and left a couple hours later due to rodents in the hotel. Expedia was of no help and refused to refund money paid for a room we didn't stay in.

I booked a hotel room in ***** for 2 nights for 3 people in July 2022, through Expedia. At that time I was not aware that Expedia charged to my credit card for the room charge (which was in ******** Yen) at the time of booking. Later on that day, I had to cancel the booking, so the room charge was refunded. When I checked the credit card statement later, I found out that Expedia charged CAD1,044.61 when I booked the hotel and refunded me for CAD970.24. I understand that the exchange rate they used at the time of booking and refund would be different. However, the transaction date for the initial booking and refund was the same date. I don't understand why the exchange rate Expedia used for booking and refund is so different even though the transaction was done on the same day. It means that I paid CAD74.37 for the hotel I didn't stay. $74 for handling charge is too much, I should say. I feel like I was cheated. I feel that the way Expedia treated me is very unfair and dishonest. I would NEVER use Expedia again. And I will recommend my friends and family NOT to use Expedia by telling them my experience with them.

They double charged my account, and I hear in the background other agents talking to people dealing with the same thing. They claim it was a "glitch" but I can't help but think it's intentional with how painful they make the process of even trying to get a refund. Still have not received refund, hopefully I receive it soon. This is fraudulant behaviour.
