I purchased a 2016 **********, from Valley VIP Autosales for $9,100 on January 13, 2025. When I purchased the vehicle there were no check engine lights or obvious issues with the car. When I drove home approximately 6 miles, the check engine light was on. I returned to the dealership the next day to have them review the lights and address the issues. The manager, **, said the codes were "no big deal" and that he was going to call the owner and ask him what they could do to help resolve my issues. He said he would call me back once he spoke with the owner. I was never called back. I continued driving the car under the impression it was no big deal. One week later the car broke down on the freeway and was towed to an autoshop. The vehicle was towed to a Divines Auto shop on **********, in ******************. The bill was for $4400 to totally fix and repair the issues. I took the mechanic report to the dealership to ask what they could do to fix my issues and they said the mechanic shop I had my car towed to was biased towards their dealership and was "saying certain parts of the car were broken in order to get more money out of me. " Upon demanding some help with this, Valley VIP owner said they would only consider helping me out if I got my car towed to a different mechanic shop and if the new shop quoted repairs to be around $1000.Business Response

Customer was asked to get a second opinion from an actual exhaust shop instead of a repair shop. The repair shop was going to replace the whole exhaust system instead of just the problematic catalytic convertor. So obviously just the catalytic convertor isn't as expensive as the whole exhaust. We never said we would cover it if the job was $1000. Said to get a better opinion from a shop that specializes in exhaust and then we would talk more then.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: I was told from Valley VIP that the mechanic shop, which I have been to before and have been completely satisfied with their work, was baised toward Valley VIP Autosales and thus wasn't giving the car an accuarte assessment. They said to get the car towed to an exhaust shop, to determine which part needs to be repaired. They also said they could not gaurentee that they would even help cover the costs of the repairs if I spent the money to get another Mechanic diagnositc (approx. $125) and towed (approx. $125) the vehicle to a shop they perfer. At Divines autoshop I was brought back to review the parts of the car that are broken and I can confirm they are broken and missing pieces. So I do not want to waste another $300-400 jumping through these hoops from this dealership becuase they are wasting my time and my money. It seems to be a reoccuring theme happening at Valley VIP based on their reviews on **** and ********. I am not the only on who has been scammed by them.
Sincerely,

You need to take the vehicle to an shop that specializes in doing exhaust work or else the shop will just replace the whole system and overcharge for things not needed.Initial Complaint

We purchased a 2012 **** A6 from VIP, within 3 days of driving it off the lot the check engine light came on. I called and they didn't seem to concerned that this happened so quickly. We just took it to C and H to have it looked over, and it is going to cost us $2,000.00 to have the coils replaced. After having it looked over by a mechanic, it clearly never went under much inspection, and nothing was done before they sold it. I don't recommend purchasing from VIP if you want a reliable form of transportation. They make the vehicles look nice, and drive well for a few days and then issues start coming up.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: When I called, I got a very annoyed response with I guess you could go by the shop on Monday, I dont know if they can get you in my time is also important and seeing as we had just purchased this vehicle it should have taken some priority. I feel as though it was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful.

Good afternoon,
My name is ****** *****, and I have filed a complaint against VIP Auto Sales in ******* Valley. I tried to add a couple of pictures to my claim, but it didnt go through on my phone. I have attached the following photos taken from C and H auto repair in ******* WA
One is the air filter that should have been changed with an oil change when they took the **** in on trade, The other is all the particles in the brake fluid, this picture shows it is off the charts. This should have been spotted and changed when VIP Auto Sales did a safety inspection. Neither were done to the vehicle before the put it up for sale on the lot. This could have become a serious safety issue dealing with break fluid. According to the mechanics down at C and H auto repair this is something that should have been done before selling this vehicle. So, within 3 days of purchasing this vehicle the check engine light came on, I was spoke to very rudely and like my time didnt matter now that they had sold the vehicle. I am fearful to take my vehicle to their shop for any maintenance due to what was not done to it in the first place. The **** needs new coils, it is misfiring on a cylinder, and it needs the 100k mile tune up that was never done, and I am being quoted to do everything $2800.00 this is more than the down payment on this vehicle. I feel that it was misrepresented to us and that Vip Auto Sales knew it was going to need work and they sold it As is knowing we were going to have an issue. A reputable dealership would have done all the inspections and replaced what needed to be replaced. I am very disappointed in how I have been treated by the Finance manager and I would like for VIP to have to cover the cost of the coil maintenance on this vehicle, and the brake fluid and breaks as this is a major safety issue, and an oil change. The cost of this is roughly $1800.00.
Thank you,
****** JamesBusiness Response

Customer was told they can bring the vehicle by so we can check the check engine light. Was never told a time or day we said just bring it by and we can look. They never came or called again. The customer bought a 13 year old vehicle and the check engine light came on after the sale. This can happen with used vehicles that is why they are not the price of new ones. Customer had the opportunity to do a pre purchase inspection and chose not to do so, customer also signed several "AS IS NO WARRANTY' papers.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:My husband and myself were both set at ease by both a sales representative and the financial manager that this vehicle had gone to their service department and had a full inspection. That VIP does full inspections on their vehicles. So sadly we trusted their verbiage and we signed as is paperwork. However, based on photos provided it shows that VIP does not do a vehicle inspection on their vehicles. JD the finance manager who I reached out to did specify to bring it by on a Monday morning and also that he was unsure if their service department would have time to look it over. I am incredibly disappointed with the staff and service we have received from VIP.

On June 29th, my husband and I went to VIP to purchase a car. After selecting and test driving a mini ******, we were asked to wait in our truck until a sales representative could finish the transaction. We were paying cash and felt uneasy but wanted the car so we waited. We waited over an hour. Once we were invited inside, ***** went through the paperwork relatively fast and we were on our way. Before we left, we were keen to pay attention to ***** writing a 10 day permit on the car and telling us the title would be mailed to montana motor vehicle division (attached is the paperwork we PAID for and signed to have ***** send the title to *******). Once back in *******, the permit expired, so we went to get the new car licensed. VIP never sent the title. I called and was told off by a young man who let me know VIP isn't responsible for sending Titles. It has been over 30 days and we have no title. I have called 4 times and been told off all 4 times. Here I am with a car I paid 10 grand for but I can't drive because VIP is shady. Probably sold me a car they didn't have a title to.Business Response

Im sorry if you were misinford on how the prosses works with transfering titles. When a dealership in **************** sells a vehicale out of state we by give out a out of state temp tag and when you get back to your state you have to go into your local dmv and get a 30 day temp tag! Then within 30 days of sale dealership should have your title and paperwork shipped to your local dmv then you are able to go into your dmv and register your car! I have checked with our title departmanet and your title has been shipped and recivied by your DMV! Hope this clairfys everything for you have a blessed day!Initial Complaint

Vehicle purchased 04/12/2024 for $21500 cash Multiple mechanical and electrical faults found, i was assured that electrical issue was the vehicle needing new batteries and if it wasnt the case they would reslove the issue which was a verbal contract witnessed by my friend and what is now an ex employee. Pre arranged a time to have the issues resolved, i complied and took my vehicle in when they asked and **** did not look at it for 9 hours on the 9th of april then took it for a ********************************************************************************* the parts to rectify all issues highlighted but the parts would take 3 weeks to arrive and i would have to rectify the issues myself. I followed up after the 3 weeks for the parts and was repeatedly told "waiting for the tracking numbers" its now been 3 months i stopped contacting them as they would never return my calls or give me any answers and i have begun rectifying the issues myself.Business Response

Hi ******
VIP promising to send me the parts does me no good, they promised to send me the parts for months telling me they were "waiting on tracking numbers" which tells me they never even ordered the parts so they have proven themselves to be untrustworthy, eventually i had to get the parts myself and have them fitted at my local GMC garage. I am also relocating to ********** in a week so i wont have a fixed address for a while so i am seeking reimbursement for the costs it took to fix my truck and for wasting 11 hours of my time when i was told they would work on my truck at a pre-arranged time and date but didn't look at it until 5pm when we arranged for 9am on 05/07/24 when i brought it to the dealership. The glow plug control module rwplacment cost me $700 on its own along with disconnected glow plugs and a broken glow plugs, i found wiring faults in both front headlights, tail lights, side mirrors, broken exhaust, compressor, i also found faulty front shocks, The stabiltrak module which will cost $1200 to fix by GMC i have to get a broken glow plug removed which will be a costly im sure.
So ontop of all the things that were initially agreed to be fixed by verbal contract i would like compensation for the hours of wasted time and energy working on a truck they should have fixed.
Kind regards

I purchased a 2009 Ram 2500 on March 2nd from Valley VIP Auto Sales for my ******* business. I made sure that they had the correct address for Montana MVD to send the title and registration paperwork and ***** my salesman assured me there would be no issue. On March 18 I contacted them because MVD had not seen any paperwork yet. After a couple vague responses the last message I got on March 19th was "I cannot confirm unless my title clerk tells me" to which I asked to be put in contact with the title clerk and have since gotten no response back. Now that it is past the 30 days which they have to deliver the paperwork I tried contacting VIP again and cannot get a response back.Initial Complaint

I purchased a truck from VIP Auto on 10-14-2 & was told there are no mechanical issues. I purchased the optional warranty for $4000 carried by Dealer Loyalty Protection. 4 days after having my truck it wouldn't start so I made an appointment with a mechanic whom also did an inspection of the truck. Work had to be approved through Dealer Waranty Program. My truck sat at the mechanic shop over 3 weeks waiting for approval or denial for the repairs claim. I made multiple calls to Dealer Loyalty Protection and they were difficult to get a representative on the phone after hold then hang **** When I would get through to a representative I would be told they are waiting for documentation from VIP Auto. During these weeks I would also make calls to VIP Auto to ask **** the sales manager why paperwork hadn't been sent. I found it difficult to reach **** as well. I did have multiple conversations with VIP Auto employees that would relay my message to ****. The truck needed ignition replaced along with a list of other things such as brake work, blinker, window control console, airbag light came on. The total to do all the repairs was $4,482. Since the cost of repairs exceeds the purchase price the Dealer Loyalty Program denied the entire claim. Dealer Loyalty Program is a complete scam so I filed a complaint with BBB #********. I asked for a refund and was told I had to get it from the dealership. I went to VIP Auto sales and talked to ****. He told me he would get my refund and the $4000 would go to the loan company towards principal. When I didn't recieve my refund I started calling VIP Auto. I talked to a VIP Auto employee who told me he would get back in touch with me after talking to ****. On 11/28/23 I recieved a text message" hello ****. It's ***** from VIP Auto Sales. I just checked with ****. Your refund will be going back to occu. it could take up to 10 weeks to process." It has been more than 10 weeks since I talked to **** and told I would get my $4000 refund.Initial Complaint

Bought a vehicle from this dealership back in November of 2023, I have yet to receive the paperwork necessary to register my vehicle 2 months later now. Everytime I call in the person I need to speak to is always out of the office never return my calls or texts. Super shady business most likely sold me a vehicle they didnt have the title for. I bought a car in September. After not even 48 hours of driving the check engine light went on. The first ship I took it too said they had suspicions that they used a spray that gets the check engine light to go away. They also said there were exes marking coils that didnt work. I paid for coils and then took it to a ****** dealer to change the fluids there were **** more of charges. Then it went on again and the timing chain needs to be fixed. When looking into this, he said they found some things that *** indicate a full engine swap. I have reached out to the dealership they have done nothing, offered no help, been very aggressive and mean. I am now out almost ***** dollars. My car has been undrivable 48 hours afterwards, for two months.Business Response

***************************** purchased the 2018 Infiniti QX60 on 8/28/2023. There were 0 issues with the 2018 Infiniti QX60 when she test drove and looked over the vehicle. She was offered an extended service contract on her used car at purchase, she acknowledge that the car is used as is and declined the offered extended warranty, she accepted the deal and the responsibility of buying the vehicle used as is. A couple days went by and she returned asking for some assistance on the check engine light that came on, she had told me that it was due to the spark plugs needing changed, i was able to compensate her for the brand new spark plugs she needed. She left happy and was thankful, About 3 weeks ago she contacted me discussing more issues that were brought to her attention by the shop or dealer that diagnosed the issues. Reading through this complaint it seems that she is having an issue with the company that diagnosed the issues & after spending $7000 it is still not fixed, it seems like her issue is with the shop or dealer she took it to and not the selling dealership.Initial Complaint

Purchased a 2018 Dodge ram ****, on finance. After 3 days of owning vehicle it had coolant and oil pressure problems, after a week of trying to get someone on phone to help me, they took vehicle to their shop, almost a week later I got it back and told me problem was solved, ran ok for about 2.5 weeks and same issues were happening, so I scheduled an appt. With ******************** to run a full inspection on vehicle, come to find out it has a cracked block and will/can cost up to 12k, I reached out to car lot to see if they can/will take care of problem, it's been a whole other week, and every time I call or go in, no one is there that can approve anything and will not return my calls, I'm 2 monthly payments in and have only been able to use the vehicle for a few weeks of owning it.
