    Im leaving this review to warn other customers of excessive pricing for a service call to my home. My home is 2 1/2 years old, built by Greenstone Homes. The builder used River City to install a glass shower door. The door began sticking and was becoming difficult to open or close. A service tech came to my home and adjusted the drip bar on the bottom. He was here approximately 5 minutes. No new parts were needed, just an adjustment. I spoke to 4 different employees before the call who all quoted prices from $283 to *****. No quote was the same. This was concerning but I had no choice as other glass companies though much less expensive but unsure they could fix it if parts were needed. The last person I spoke with, I thought said the service call was $ ***** and Id pay for new parts if needed. Apparently, this was just half the price of a basic service call. Even though the tech was in my home for only 5 minutes and no new parts installed, I just spoke to the company again they will charge me another $79.50 plus tax for a total of approximately $165 for such a brief uncomplicated adjustment of a door their company installed! I can only assume that the original install was not done properly or the materials used were substandard. The only reason I gave an extra star was the sales person was polite and explained I was getting a reduced price since my home was so new. The normal service call is usually $250.00!! Just outrageous pricing and consumers need to be aware. I would not recommend or use this company again. I would strongly recommend using another glass company for your glass needs.

    To Whom It May Concern This customer was correct in saying our original quote to her was $260.00 plus tax. That is what we charge for a service call. The customer was upset about the cost and ended up negotiating with her sales person to reduce the charge since her home was only 2 1/2 years old to $150.00 plus tax. She agreed verbally over the phone to this price and gave us a 50% deposit of $81.75 with the final balance of $81.75 to be paid upon completion of the service call. Our accounting person called her upon completion to collect the final balance due of $81.75 and the customer was not willing to pay as agreed. She had decided that our service call was too expensive and wanted to speak to someone else. At this point her sales person that she originally agreed to the reduced price service call got in touch with her and she expressed her displeasure of paying the agreed price as she felt we did not spend enough time to earn that money. We tried to explain if we were there for 10 minutes or 3 hours that would be covered and we have overhead to pay for and that is why our service call are set prices. She was given a hefty discount to try to ease her mind, unfortunately after agreeing to this it was again not good enough. Everything that the customer needed done was fixed and in good working order when the techs left her home.
