It started back in Dec of 2023 when we purchased a new turbo from BD Diesel. The turbo that was sent out failed with in 24hrs after installation. The shop because of the holidays was not able to start working warranty repair until end of February 2024. The first turbo was removed and sent back to BD on warranty. BD did not send their first replace until the end of april beginning of May. **** over at BD admitted to use they received the turbo at the beginning of April and it failed its inspection. Then stated it was sitting on their shelf for a month and no one bothered sending out the replacement. Then BD sent a replacement. Upon receiving the replacement the turbo would not bolt up. Upon inspection of the turbo it was discovered that whom ever built this turbo cross drilled the exhaust flang so it would not mount to the vehicle. We notified BD and they sent out another. This turbo got lost by *****. We called BD and informed then ***** lost our turbo. BD sent another. This turbo was then installed and the vehicle returned to the customer. Just for the customer to bring the vehicle the 2 days after. The new turbo from BD has failed again. After three failed turbos the shop and I are not satisfied with this company or their product. So we decided to ask for a refund on the product so we can take our business else where. **** being the sole representative that we deal with states he has been in contact with ***** over all of this. Claims everytime we call him he would have a response from ***** on what they are going to do. We talk to **** 3 times a week give or take and he states he would have all this sorted out the next day. We are not over a month of waiting on BD to do the right thing by us but they have failed to do so. BD has also caused the shop to loose substantial amounts of money on labor because of the 3 about to be 4 repair jobs due to their failed products. BD has not taken responsibility for the repair cost or offered any kind of assistance with it.

      Hi There,=

We recently received a 1-star ****** review from a customer, and within 12 hours, we responded and informed them that their concerns would be escalated immediately. Upon conducting an internal investigation, we discovered a communication breakdown on our part. We acknowledged this issue to the customer both through ****** and verbally by our staff.

This incident prompted an internal review of our product failures and customer communication protocols. As a result, on July 23rd, we determined that the customer deserved compensation beyond our standard warranty coverage. The customer was informed in writing on July 23rd that BD would provide a full refund for product purchase, shipping costs and labor at our warranty rate.

While we regret the customer's experience, we believe we have taken the appropriate steps to resolve the situation.

      Kind Regards,

      BD

I am writing this to explain the hardships that have come from ** failing to provide a working transmission. This all started on December 6th that was the first date that Pure Diesel contacted BD to start the warranty claim on the first transmission. The 1st transmission was sent to BD on December 13th. The first contact from BD about the transmission was on Jan 3rd. The new transmission as in the 2nd transmission was sent back and received on Jan 31st at Pure Diesel. BD had my transmission for 49 days total. I understand this includes shipping. The 2nd transmission was installed on Monday, February 6th. The transmission was still not right. I have sent ***** videos of the transmission not shifting correctly and very violent downshifting to first gear. The transmission also would not shift into 6th gear. I also could not tow any weight with it. I spoke with ***** and BD agreed to send me a new transmission to me with a billet input shaft. I would have to have a $7000 hold on my credit card for them to send me another transmission. I would be responsible to pay for the labor at the shop. I agreed to these terms and was ok with this. The new transmission was sent out and was told it would arrive on Monday February 26th. I had plans to install it on February 28th however the new transmission was not delivered till February 28th which meant I had to push the install date back. The next opening Pure Diesel had alaviable was on Monday March 11th. I drop my truck off on Sunday March 10th for them to install on Monday March 11th. The truck drove into the shop under its own power. The 3rd transmission was installed and the truck is now unable to be driven at all. So at this point now I'm waiting for BD to send a new part for the transmission as of March 14th. This all has been going on for 92 days and counting now. I have been more than understanding. But now I am at the point that you (BD) makes this right.

Purchased exhaust brake for my 2014 f250. Never worked right from the beginning. When used causes truck to go into reduced power mode. Only let's the truck go 30mph after that until you pull over and do a restart. It's a safety issue specially when you are pulling a 35ft fifth wheel. Called BD diesel for help. Said they would replace it but it never happened. Sent all required paperwork to them and was ignored for 2 months. That's after 10 calls or more to them. The customer service representative said they would handle it but just would get ignored again. Finally after 2 months of this got a response that since I bought it through Amazon they would have to warranty it. Contacted Amazon and said the manufacturer has to handle it. Now we are back to getting ignored again from BD diesel.

On 2/16/23 my mechanic from ******* Motor Works ordered a Valve Body from ** Diesel for my transmission. We waited 6 weeks for it to arrive. It was installed and had a short lived life of ***** miles and was only in my truck for 2 months. I had a job in ***** where the valve body failed causing $7,000 worth of damage to my transmission. As a result, it cost me an additional $150 to get my truck towed to ********************, along with about $1,000 in food and hotel fees and lastly a $450 charge for a flight back home. Im not looking for compensation for all that Ive incurred, not to mention the entire time Ive been out of work unable to make money, that expense is over $15,000 in lost wages. I am looking for them to compensate me for the damage done to my transmission from using their part in the amount of $7,000. In the email thread, you will see the back and forth between myself, my mechanic, the transmission shop my truck is currently at and BD Diesel. Any questions or clarity you please reach out my email is ***************** and my cell phone number is ************. I really would not recommend this company to anyone and their customer service is terrible. The business is located at *************************************************************************************. The address below is their PO Box in **********. Please contact me for photos because I cannot upload all of them on this website.

On 12/02/2021, I ordered "BD PERFORMANCE STAGE 3 R900 *********** INJECTOR PACKAGE 04.5-07 5.9L DODGE CUMMINS" through Diesel Power Products for a total of $4,230.65. Less than ***** miles after the part was installed, it failed. Went through the lengthy warranty process (RMA 111052)just for them to state its "Possible cause contaminated fuel used".The warranty does state that contaminated fuel will void the warranty, and though I find that to be highly unlikely as the fuel tank had been drained and a new filtration system was installed at the same time this part was installed. This is not my complaint, they are trying to charge me an inspection fee now that I have asked for my part back as is. there is no mention of this fee in any advertising or paperwork, including their warranty statement. it seems retaliatory to impose a fee because I did not buy another pump from them. they have not attempted to resolve this issue.Amber VanOverschot is the customer service rep I have worked with.

I purchased a transmission from this company that came with a full warranty that they are refusing to honor, they made me pay for a replacement after the original failed after only a couple of months in my vehicle. They blame the owner for abuse and then refuse to honor the warranty. It took them months to get a replacement and they charged me for the replacement as well. It also caused damage to my engine cover and flex plate which I had to pay for myself.

We received ****** Cosgroves transmission for warranty inspection. During our inspection we found the transmission to have a broken input shaft. Broken shafts and burnt clutches are not covered under our warranty policy as noted below.

      NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY
This warranty is limited to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable to
subsequent owners. Specifically excluded from this warranty are failures of products caused by
misuse, misapplication, negligence of the Buyer, accidents, modification, abuse, improper
storage, installation, repair or operation, use of unauthorized parts or other mistreatment of the
Buyer or his agent. Any competitive use, sled pulling, drag racing will void warranty on product. A
sheared or twisted shaft, broken planetary gear sets, burned clutches, broken drive hubs, sun
gear damage, cracked housings are not covered. Damage caused from debris in oil
contaminated coolers, improper fluids and filters or damage caused from fuel or air
contamination, Biodiesel, low fluid levels are also not covered. This warranty does not cover
deterioration of plating, paint or any other coating, linings or parts that are subject to normal wear
and tear, such as light bulbs, fuses, bearing wear, seal wear, etc.

The cost of the repair for this unit was $4837.14 plus shipping charges ($602.50). after speaking with ******** mother ***** we were instructed to go ahead with the cost of repair and upgrade the transmission to the optional larger and stronger shaft. as a policy of good faith and the time involved BD agreed to reduce the cost of repair to ******* (including shipping). Given that burnt clutches and broken shafts are not covered under our warranty policy we feel that providing the repaired replacement at a deeply discounted price is fair and no further compensation will be extended.
