My mother rented from Wright Weber Management from 2006 to February 2021. At that time she had multiple issues with them receiving her rent money on time but due to her work schedule was unable to address these issues with the company. In her time in the unit, she had multiple issues with maintenance that went unresolved or took longer than it should have to fix them. Furnace issues, issues with the kitchen appliances, and issues with the washer and dryer. The latter had never been fixed. I joined her on the lease from May of 2012 to October 31st, 2015. My name was supposed to have been removed from the lease on February 29th, 2016 (based on a letter I found while cleaning out her storage unit around Christmas of 2023). They never did and are now seeking damages for the unit that I am not financially obligated for. Renters beware they say one thing but do something completely different.

I have been asking to get my air conditioner fixed for over a year. Numerous contacts made with the local landlord regarding this issue. I contacted the main office, they were made aware of the air conditioner not working. The current temperature outside has been 85+ degrees. They are not concerned nor in a hurry to fix the issue addressed over a year ago. I asked if they would fund a hotel until the apartment is ************** conditions once the air conditioner is fixed, they advised me to contact my renters insurance as wright weber management will not pay for the hotel. **** told me via phone he was going to have someone at my place on Friday evening to look at it. They never showed up. I reached out again Saturday afternoon asking if someone was still going to show up and they were not aware they were supposed to come look. My apartment is currently 80 degrees inside and raises during the day. Last year they put a window ac unit into the wall mount, that is the current one not working as it's installed into a metal box.

Last month (April 8) our manager knocked on our door and handed us a 5 day eviction notice stating they had not received our rent payment. I explained that I had sent the check and gave him the check number and date I mailed it. He then said he would contact the main office and find out if they had received anything from us. Otherwise he said we should wait until Monday to see if the check clears and if it does not we should pay to overnight ship and get a tracking number and send a new check. He also said we would owe a late fee now (even though we sent the check on time). I asked if we could just cancel our original check and send a new one today and he said no we had to wait over the weekend. We never heard anything back from him and I watched my bank account and the check did not clear. We called again and he said they have received the new check and they had the original one but it was damaged in the mail. He also said he would find out about refunding us or crediting us the late fee since it was not late. We asked for the postmark date or a copy of the damaged check to verify and again he never responded to us. Meanwhile we received a letter from someone else at the main office with the original check and a note from April 6th (so prior to the eviction notice even being issued) saying check received but damaged by post office. It also said a note was placed in our file stating we had paid on time. Our manager never responded to our questions. This month we sent a check via the bank to ensure we'd have proof of making the payment and we asked him to verify if they received it ahead of time. He said there was no way he could find out that information for us. By May 3rd the check was not deposited so we asked again and he said he would find out, he still hasn't responded though I now see it has on my bank app.I would like them to refund our $50 late fee and pay our $26.95 fee for overnighting the check after knowing full well they had received it on time.
