The reviewer noting Connect by American Family Insurance (headquarters in *******, **) will drop you as a customer or refuse to give you a policy renewal is accurate. I am a healthcare professional who has had to travel for training across several states (residencies to specialize in care of select patient groups, cancer patients, etc.). In one state, the month I was completing a residency and getting ready to move to the next state to learn and care for the next group of patients, I experienced a windshield crack from an open truck on the road. The flying object came out of nowhere and I was stunned and then thankful I did not get hurt. Connect car insurance fixed my windshield. This was in 2022. Fast forward to today, 1/27/25, I am living in ** and a couple of Connect car insurance representatives and a manager ******* have shared that they are unable to underwrite me a policy for AZ because I had a glass claim within 3 years. Meanwhile, I have no traffic tickets and God willing no accidents on my vehicle in over 15 years and even longer. They continue to collect premiums on my car and home insurance ********* be fair, I asked ******* for another phone number to talk to a complaint division at Connect and shared my concern. I await the company's decision. No one who trusts their car and home needs to an insurance company they pay premiums should be discarded like trash for a reason such as they above.CONNECT, Powered by American Family Insurance Response

Raised home insurance from 1200 a year to 1500 for no reason other than when we called they told us they had a lot of claims. Found equally god insurance for 1200. Cars were another worse matter. One car went up to 650 for 6 months with no claims other than a battery jump and the minimum of 100,000 liability. (Note: waited more than 24 hours to have them come out to the house. Went to another company and got 350 for 6 months with 500,000 liability coverage. Rude, uninformed customer service which switches you several times to find someone who can answer questions. Spent 45 minutes going over home policy looking for savings. It was a complete joke. For example, one line item was $74 for sump pump backup but when I asked for the quote without that coverage they said it went down $3. ???? The best answer they could give me was everything is connected to every other coverage. Simple truth is whoever is writing these policies has made it so complicated that even the agents can't explain it. They do not deserve to bein business.Review from amy R

poor customer service . Dropped my car insurance with one letter mailed for a missing signature . Would not reinstate my car insurance took no accountability . I honestly am shocked they are a recommended company from ******CONNECT, Powered by American Family Insurance Response

They doubled premiums in one year.. no moving violations or accidents went from 200 per month to 400! I was not aware of the increase and did not approve, just stole money from my account without approvalCONNECT, Powered by American Family Insurance Response

As a loyal ****** customer, I was easily lured into the Connect Insurance company for my home and vehicle. Last week, this all came crashing down when they tried to increase my auto insurance from $2600 per year to $5400 per year for adding a second teenage driver to my policy. Part of the increase was also them wanting to raise my rate by $1000 because I scrapped another driver's bumper while backing out of a parking space. I believe charging $5400 to insure a simple Toyota Corolla for 2 adult drivers and two teenagers is downright insurance racketeering. A ye.ar ago, they had already increased my home insurance by a third (I never filed a claim). All in all, they wanted to charge me around $800 per month for home and auto! What a ripoff! They made me so angry that I started shopping around immediately and found much, much lower rates for the same coverage with another company. I am literally saving thousands of $. My advice: stay away from Connect or be ready to be absurdly overcharged.CONNECT, Powered by American Family Insurance Response

Connect by AmFam is a horrible company to work with. I had two vehicles insured by them. No claims or tickets and they cancelled my insurance on both cars due to me not responding to a mailed letter from them. In this letter they wanted to know my permitted teens license status. Since I didn’t respond they cancelled my policies. When I explained what had happened they refused to reinstate me and offered no explanation other than they had a legal right to do so. Now there is a gap in my coverage and I am paying more than double because of the gap. I received no phone calls or texts letting me know I was cancelled. Extremely poor customer service. Never EVER go with Connect by AmFan. A truly terrible company. You don’t just drop good customers because you can.CONNECT, Powered by American Family Insurance Response

The worst insurance company ever to have to go through when one of their clients hits your car. They refuse to take accountability for the accident and damages. Claiming 50/50 to get out of having to pay the full price when their client admitted fault at the scene. The adjuster Sanan ************* was extremely rude and condescending and has the worst customer service skills. Reading all the horrible, negative and 1 star reviews for this company makes it obvious they have a lot of work to do to improve. Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with! I called to ask how much it would cost to add an international driver with an international license. After the call, they said that effective immediately, they were going to start charging me extra for that driver even though I had just called to inquire about the cost. I was forced to send an exclusion letter to avoid the extra charges, and now that I actually want to add the driver, I’m being denied the service. Run away as fast as you can from this company! Horrible company expensive prices for basic coverage never insure with them aside from lowball quote they quoted all rusted out parts on my truck and sent a list of preferred shops, that would not even touch my truck and of course they doubled the price of insurance sweet double the price and still not practically covering anything?
