      I received four letters from a collection agency indicating that I owed them money due to unpaid charges from SSM Health. I never received either an electronic or written bill to reflect these charges that were sent to collections. I reached out via MyChart to customer service on 6/30/23, did not receive a response until 7/11/23 that asked for a copy of the letters. I sent a copy of the letters the same date and have not received any response or update. I did message again on 7/19/23, 7/26/23 and 8/2/23 without any response or acknowledgement from the customer service team, all while I continue to receive calls from the collection agency indicating that I owe them money for services that I am unable to find record indicating that I owed SSM the money that is being requested. I have asked that SSM rectify this with the collection agency, however I have gotten no response. I did place a phone call on 8/2/23 and the representative was also unable to locate these charges, but is going to continue to research this and escalate it to a supervisor, which I initially requested to happen electronically via MyChart message on 7/19/23 and never had any follow up from customer service staff or supervisor.

      This correspondence serves as SSM Healths response to Complaint # ********


      SSM apologizes for the delay in responding the patients billing inquiries. All balances are correct as billed. 

      The consumer has an active My Chart account and receives paperless billing statements. Notifications are sent via text and email. The consumer may opt out of paperless statements in My Chart is she prefers to receive paper statements. All account balances are available for reviewed in My Chart.

      As a courtesy, SSM Health recalled the balances from collections and placed a 30-day hold on the account to allow the consumer the opportunity to either pay the balance in full or set up an SSM approved payment plan. The consumer may go to My Chart to make a payment, set up a payment plan,or call our customer service department at ************ to discuss the options available.

      A collections charge from the State of Wisconsin Collections, which originates from Agnesian Health (ambulance charge), in the amount of $480, is still being shown on my credit report, after having had paid this off in September 2022. The difference in price, as seen in the photos, is due to a settlement price

      SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital/Agnesian Healthcare does not own or operate EMS Services. The consumer did not disclose the original date of service of the original debtor, however it is likely the entity that provided transport was EMS - Fire Rescue - *******************. SSM Health can have no impact or bearing on an outside billing eintity.
