Robert and I met in October of 22'. I made a post on "Walworth Co Network" on Facebook seeking repairs for my 57' Chevy. My dad and I were very particular about who we hired to work on our car. Robert came over to my dads farm, worked out a few details with him and took the car to his shop to begin work. From the beginning he told me that I would not pay for $2,800 for all of the work that needed to be done. To date my bill has been close to 5k and he is PIF. I have paid him every step of the way, without seeing a completed invoice. This was my mistake. Now it is 11/15/22 and I finally received the invoice after several requests via email. Nearly a month and a half later. I was told the labor would be 50-80$/hr. This is not true. Robert completed repairs on my vehicle without discussing them with me, and when I called him out today for the invoice his responses are as follows - " you are a bad person KARMA IS A BITCH. THATS ALL IM SAYING" I was charged 225$ for cleaning and detailing my car, and washing windows. This was never once discussed. I was charged 262.50$ for the fuel pump labor. After getting it back to my house and it leaking all over my driveway, he picked my car back up and explained that it was a "defective part" and charged me another 60$ to replace the original one he installed. The biggest of all the issues was waiting for the exhaust to get completed. After my car was delivered, a double exhaust was installed which we never once discussed. My dad told him single, and told other mechanics single as well. He told me in person in his office, that I would be abut 400$-$500. I mentioned to him I thought it would be $600.. he explained that whoever told me that number was adding to the bill-he charges me exactly what the exhaust shop charges. After reviewing the invoice - I have a $600 charge. When I tried my best to be civil and discuss these things as well as others with Robert- he freaked out. UNPROFESSIONAL.
