I had a disturbing and deeply upsetting experience with Financial Control Solutions today involving their representative, Kim, and her unnamed supervisor. Kim called to discuss a collection for my blind, disabled mother, who is on hospice and actively dying. When I explained that my mother was unavailable, Kim yelled at me and demanded I put her on the phone. I tried to clarify that my mother is on a very limited income and is facing the end of her life. The last thing we can focus on right now is a $200 medical bill. Kim showed no compassion and continued to scream at me, trying to pressure me into paying. When I called back to address this behavior, I spoke with her supervisor, who was equally rude, dismissive, and completely devoid of empathy. Shockingly, she didn’t even provide her name during the call. This kind of treatment is appalling. Dealing with a family in crisis requires basic human decency, and Financial Control Solutions clearly lacks it. I would strongly discourage anyone from engaging with this company based on this experience. No family should have to endure this kind of treatment during such a heartbreaking time.

Kim is awful. I called to ask for some more information about a notice I received in the mail for $X. She told me it was for a medical bill I was sent multiple times that I didn’t pay. I explained to her that I never received a bill, nor have I ever heard of the company billing me. I also tried to explain how all of my medical bills are billed automatically to my bank account and I have no record of this bill. She told me it had nothing to do with my regular billing methods or medical care. Kim got irate with me, told me to pay my bill, and hung up. I called back immediately and requested her to let me finished speaking, she replied; “Only if you stop mentioning your other medical billing. It has nothing to do with them, so I don’t understand why you keep bringing them up!” I explained why I bring them up, why I was confused with this bill I had never seen. She told me “Well I have it right here. Black and white, clear as day! I would like to highlight the info and mail it to you so you can stop wasting my time! You’ve made me miss 2 calls now because you are arguing with me over $X! Pay your bills!” I asked her to give me the contact phone number for the bill agency. She rudely gave it to me. I then asked “This is your business. Why are you acting like this to me?” Kim responded with “Have a nice day.” and hung up. I called the agency this bill was from. It was a mix up from the medical insurance side. It was cleared up and paid for. I also let them know about Kim’s attitude over the phone, and they are looking into their continued business Financial Control Solutions. Kim is an awful person, and if FCS allows this type of behavior, I can only assume it’s an awful company overall.

I called regarding a dispute on my credit report I made at the direction of ******** and an attorney. A ******** from FCS contacted me. I called her back, she told me it was a valid debt and I told her it was illegal to **** ******** patients. She became belligerent, started screaming at me, cutting me off, not letting me get a word in edge wise and said "pay your **** or we'll get an attorney." I understand she deals with crummy people, but that level of aggression is uncalled for when I wasn't aggressive towards her until she started raising her voice. What a miserable person. I set up a payment plan with *** after ******** left me shaking from frustration with my call. I'm not afraid of going to court, go for it, I just want to resolve it for my credit report. Scare tactics are ineffective. She should probably take some conflict resolution and sales courses to learn how to work with people.
